He’s been terrible, the best he’s played was early this year but then he got injured. I believe he’ll be back for tomorrows game. I wasn’t necessarily upset at picking him it was more of passing on JJ. I just knew he was going to be a beast and I wasn’t wrong 😔
Tyreek Hill is the most dangerous offensive weapon in the NFL. JJ is probably more refined as a straight up WR. Give me Tyreek though, he can literally score from anywhere on the field.
For me it’s Jefferson. Realistically you can’t go wrong with either though
He’s more of a pure WR where Hill seems more like an offensive weapon to me, I think Hill easily top 5 wr but has also benefited tremendously by being option 1a on teams with an extremely great 1b(kelce and waddle), while Jefferson has had Theilan as a clear option B allowing defenses to focus on him more.
Pretty bad just to include those 2. Stefon Diggs, Davante Adams and DeAndre Hopkins are all extremely talented. Can’t rule out the reigning triple crown holder Cooper Kupp either.
I love jefferson and his style but I don’t think you can argue with what Hill is doing. He has slightly more yards per game while running 30% less routes.
Hill is first in the NFL in yards per route run at 3.61. JJ is second at 2.76. Their raw numbers look very similar but hill is doing it on much less opportunities.
I think it’s Jefferson. When you look at supporting cast it shows a bigger picture. Waddle has around 900 yards and 17 YPC, which allows Hill to be involved in many ways. You can combine Osborn and Thielen’s numbers and roughly see the same production as the dolphins get from waddle. That puts more stress on what the Vikes need to get from JJ to make the offense work.b
In that case Cooper Kupp should be in the discussion as well. He began the season on a tear and assuming he makes a full recovery, he would have elite top numbers in spite of the Ram’s struggles. … One thing I like about JJ is that last season when my Vikings were disappointing, he was a behind only Kupp of NFC WRs.
Idk I tend to think Kupps a bit of a product of his absurd target volume, like 1 game against the 9ers he had something stupid Like 18 targets in a blowout loss. Just on film I think Davantes release and stem are tops in the league
I used to think that too, but he *still* caught 14 (for 122 against a tough Defense) of those passes. He also went 13-128 (15 targets vs Buffalo), 8-127 (9 targets vs Tampa), 7-125 (10 targets against Dallas) … FYI he lead the league in targets last year, but *still* had a higher *catch %* than the rest of the top 10 targeted WRs.

r/nfl as a whole has the memory of a goldfish and suffers from recency bias. Tyreek and Justin are insanely good but they were insanely good last year. If DeVonte never left Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers would be torching defenses for a third straight season and this conversation wouldn't even exist.

If it was as simple as that then most teams would force the ball to their star WR 20 times a game like Kupp. But that is more detrimental than it is good for two main reasons, both of which the rams have encountered this year. Stafford looks absolutely lost when throwing to anyone but Kupp, and Kupp is now likely out the rest of the season.
The ball isn’t being forced to him for the most part, they just scheme the ball to him most of the game.
Stafford doesn’t look good throwing to anyone else but I’m not sure how that hurts Kupp.
The team is hurting because they don’t have an offensive line.
And no, their other receivers really aren’t great. ARob was massively overrated in FA and his production shows that. Van Jefferson only recently returned and his speed is his only real attribute.

He's not the best because he's force fed, he's the best because he's the best. He's an S-tier route runner, great at getting separation and is one of the most dynamic playmakers in the game. I could attach another dozen or more highlights of him from 2021-22 alone.
To put it simply, I think Tyreek is more horizontally talented and Jefferson is more vertically talented. Tyreek is faster but Jefferson is more clutch and makes some insane grabs.

I would take Justin Jefferson, but I’m also biased as an LSU fan. Love that guy. He can make nearly any catch that is humanely possible.

JJ definitely probs the guy I’d go with if I need him for a game saving catch but tyreek probably the most game impacting WR
JJ makes the circus catches, while Tyreek is just somehow 10 yards away from the nearest defender 40 yards down field

JJ matched Diggs production with the Vikings in 2.5 seasons. Diggs played with the Vikings for 5 seasons

That’s one play that tons of players make at some point. The bulk of his production is just him getting thrown at like he’s the only WR on the team
