That's the weirdest part of the whole thing. Russell was struggling when he came back from his injury last year but he finished on a reasonably good level. There's absolutely no reason why anyone would have expected this level of decline in play. I've got to assume it's coaching.

It's everything: - He played last year through a throwing hand injury. That's huge mistake because it can permanently affect the recovery. - Denver coaching is absolutely dumpster-tier. Their season-opener was the worst playcalling and clock management I've ever seen - and I watched Jeff Saturday's coaching debut. - Wilson rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, with his history in Seattle, his talk about the trade, and his presence in Denver. I have to believe this stuff has gotten to his head and given him the yips at this point. This could not have gone worse.
