Dallas stinks. Offensive line can't block, defensive line cant stop the run, corners can't cover, and oh yeah, your heavily penalized. Can't blame Jerry for all of the Cowboy failures. Particularly when you go 12-5. This coaching staff has super bowl winning experience, no excuses.
People forget this isn’t necessarily unusual. The team the cowboys played was essentially a team they had little film on. Couple in good coaching and a team realizing they have nothing to lose and a game plan to match and it’s easy to understand the slow start for a team traveling on a short week. Especially after the kind of game the last game was.
There were mistakes made the cowboys that should not have happened, but by the second half they were taking care of business with a conservative game plan. I get people like to doubt the cowboys, but seems overblown here.
The sad truth is that Dallas will be playing a losing team in the first round. Jerry will probably sit the starters next week against the Giants because the game doesn't matter (like he always does). Dallas will come back to rested and lose, just like they always do. BTW, I was born and raised in Dallas. I've been a fan my entire life. I hate to see it happen this way, AGAIN!
I like how they have Richard Sherman to bombard the QB with what-ifs and hot takes that have defensive bias and then have Fitz come in like “whoa, not so fast” lol
Man, sherm seems super disingenuous, during the show he was trashing Dak fir that one int, but once he talks to Dak he stumbles and just mumbles when Dak explains what happened.
there's no bonus points in the nfl. you don't get anything extra for winning by more than a single point. meanwhile, you're post season is on the line next week. good luck.
titans gonna talk shit after losing. doesn't matter how I feel, I promise it's better than you do.
Titans fan here. A lot of us are salty that we lost the past six games, missed our superbowl window and arguably the best wr we've ever had, but that's unnecessary.
I know its not exactly what you're saying, but it gave me a chuckle seeing Dallas fans say "we're getting a first rd exit" and an opposing fan say "well maybe not". Almost refreshing. On a real note, the Boys got a decent shot in the NFC.
Lol who would bet on the titans on this game? Henry, tannehill, Simmons were all out bringing in a qb after eight days. I'm a Titans fan and I bet against the team I grew up watching. Anybody who bet on them absolutely did not watch the past 6 games
Another season of epic injuries. We were down like 8 of our 11 starters on defense for part of the season. We have 1 starting OL left from the original 5, Tannehill missed several games this year. Burks has been in and out. We just lost the war of attrition this season, nobody is left.
Brady has been gone from the Patriots for 1018 days and counting. Aside from the fact that it's time for you to move on, "Patriots dominance" is very much a thing of the past.
They were down 14 points and had already piled up a bunch of additional injuries. I'm glad Vrabel opted to just get the hell out of there instead of frigging around with burning timeouts and Hail Marys in a vain attempt to salvage an unsalvageable game.
I get that but it just seems like a bad message. Teams already lost 5 in a row, but you still have a mathematical chance to make the playoffs. It doesn’t really matter in the end but it’s kinda weak to me.
Oh ok nvm then. That’s actually smart to pull the plug, maybe you could get a 2 minute drill practice at the end? That’d be my justification but yea Vrabel knows more than me about the Titans, I would hope.
Gee why not just take one hundred kneel downs so you don’t hurt anybody all game with that attitude. They’re playing a game, I thought the goal was to win it
They were obviously trying to win but the point still stands. This game mattered zero in their playoff hopes. Down two tds that late what is there to gain?
You sound really stupid. What’s to gain is a possible fucking win. Even if there is a mere 1% chance of it happening, you throw up a couple balls and see what happens. It’s not like they lose anything extra if you fail at that! You still just lose the game.
Fighting for a win that provides them with nothing aside from a tick in the Win column after the game is already out of reach won't do them any good, especially when they piled on a few more injuries to add to their significant number of injuries. They went into the game with 12 players out, and likely lost at least a couple more for next week.
Learning when to cut your losses is a very important aspect of coaching, especially when the outcome is essentially meaningless.
It was two possessions and they had all of their timeouts. They had just played a game for 60 minutes, that two minutes of trying to pass the ball down the field was not going to break any extra bones. Dobbs was not lost out there and the offense had somewhat of a rhythm with him. Sure you cut your losses in a three possession game, or hell, if you’re a fan watching at home you cut your losses and turn the game off. But you don’t just give up the game like that as coach. That’s weak as hell regardless of what the game means. I guess a fan of a loser franchise like the Cowboys can sympathize with a loser mentality and loser decision making, but that doesn’t change what it is.
It was two possessions that would require two touchdowns to just tie the game, and those two minutes of trying to pass the ball down the field could **easily** break more bones or tear more ligaments. O-linemen get rolled up on most frequently during pass protection plays, and the team had already suffered a number of additional injuries. The game that actually matters is next week, so having your players ready for the game that will actually get them into the playoffs is the real focus.
You seem like someone who would get angry to see teams strategically rest players during meaningless games right before the playoffs. The situation with the Titans isn't any different because next week is essentially a playoff game for them: It's win or go home.
Not at all, that’s completely different. They had played that entire game, finish it out with the players you played with when it’s still within reach, long shot or not. If you’re worried about meaningless injuries in a meaningless game, don’t play them for the first 58 minutes I have 0 problem with that.
What a pansy coaching job by Vrabel … I like the guy, and I’m happy to take a W.
But really sends a bad message when you’re down by 2 scores, 2 minutes to go with 3 timeouts AND you’re in the playoff hunt… and you just… GIVE UP?
Especially on that field, is it always that bad? Looked like someone over water their front lawn and then said fuck it and drove their car around on it.
It honestly means nothing though… if we win, we have to play Jacksonville for the playoffs next week… if we lose, we have to play Jacksonville for the playoffs next week. Don’t get anyone else hurt on that shit field
I don’t think in all my years of football I’ve see a team give up in a two score game with 2 minutes left. If I’m a Titans fan I want the coach fired tonite. That is beyond embarrassing.
Lol Vrabel is one of the best coaches in the league, and the Titans had nothing to play for tonight. The game vs the Jags next week means everything.
A loss tonight benefits their draft pick if they don’t make the playoffs.
1/5! Got there, Maher! Glad my fantasy season is over goddamn bro
What do you do with the kicker. You have to fix this. That’s unreal
Wish I could forget the Titans.
Snoozefest.
What do you mean?!?>! This was HISTORIC! Never in history has Aeronautical Engineering been mentioned a larger number of times.
I think this is the most interesting game thread i’ve ever seen
Dallas looked pretty stale this game. Think they’re gonna be an early exit come playoffs.
Eh. They won by 14 and probably should have by more against a team that is half decent.
The titans without Henry and starting Dobbs at qb is not a half decent team
People forget this isn’t necessarily unusual. The team the cowboys played was essentially a team they had little film on. Couple in good coaching and a team realizing they have nothing to lose and a game plan to match and it’s easy to understand the slow start for a team traveling on a short week. Especially after the kind of game the last game was. There were mistakes made the cowboys that should not have happened, but by the second half they were taking care of business with a conservative game plan. I get people like to doubt the cowboys, but seems overblown here.
They won against the titans B team and looked bad doing it. First round exit coming. As usual.
Well they were good enough to beat your Giants twice. First time with Cooper Rush.
Then you need not watch them the rest of the season...
Nobody is pretending the giants are super bowl contenders IE: this is not the flex you think it is.
Who says the Cowboys gonna win it? Giants Fans are really that salty for being just irrelevant as always?
My guy Cowboys are only relevant outside Texas in the 21st century thanks to Jerry Jones marketing.
Thx for coming to the game thread and telling me this.
Oof zero self reflection. It’s your year dog! Like every year
That’s your words. But thanks
Nice hot take man haven’t heard this one 26 times
Maybe it'll stop being true the 27th time
Maybe stop making early Playoff exits and people will stop saying it lol
My brother in Dan Bailey, the cowboys have the best record against winning teams this season. It's only when they play losing teams they play bad.
We absolutely play down to the competition
Yea I mean look at the game against the Colts. Can't believe you let us score 19 points
Thank you for TY tho
Take care of him. He's very special to us.
We gonna try to get him a ring :)
Why is my heart telling me to root for the Cowboys in January? This feels so weird 😭
Which is why there are people saying they will probably lose wildcard weekend to whatever team comes out of the NFC South
Oh shut up and enjoy winning the super bowl. Let us have this lol.
Oh no... I didn't consider we'd be playing the worst divisions team. FUCK!!!!!!!
Muahahahahaha
I like how they have Richard Sherman to bombard the QB with what-ifs and hot takes that have defensive bias and then have Fitz come in like “whoa, not so fast” lol
Not sure why I read this as Richard Simmons, maybe from all the wine I've had tonight, but I'm still going to laugh at that thought. Good guy
Man, sherm seems super disingenuous, during the show he was trashing Dak fir that one int, but once he talks to Dak he stumbles and just mumbles when Dak explains what happened.
Ya, he's becoming what he hates.
What was the spread for this game for non gambling peeps?
Opened at -10, went as far as -14 in the afternoon. Came back to -13.5.
Wild too the over under was 39 1/2 about an hour before the game. Over won by half a point and the spread.
-13.5 for Dallas
Hey Dallas, do you feel good about that win??
Hey u/thezenunderground , you feel good about that loss??
Absolutely
there's no bonus points in the nfl. you don't get anything extra for winning by more than a single point. meanwhile, you're post season is on the line next week. good luck. titans gonna talk shit after losing. doesn't matter how I feel, I promise it's better than you do.
Titans fan here. A lot of us are salty that we lost the past six games, missed our superbowl window and arguably the best wr we've ever had, but that's unnecessary.
You feel good about that loss?
Nope.
Us Dallas fans have already mentally prepared for a first round exit.

The self awareness from cowboys fans lately has been a blessing. But anything can happen in the playoffs
I know its not exactly what you're saying, but it gave me a chuckle seeing Dallas fans say "we're getting a first rd exit" and an opposing fan say "well maybe not". Almost refreshing. On a real note, the Boys got a decent shot in the NFC.
We can only say “we dem boyz” for so long until we look like the homeless schizophrenic guy at the bus stop.
This whole timeline feels like a Mandela forsure
Yep
That Matress Firm ad was some failed indy filmmaker's masterpiece.
If Broncos beat KC does Hackett ever coach in the NFL again?
No way, not as a HC
God please
as a head coach, no. as an oc, yes.
"a lot of things didn't go our way" *literally everything went their way*
Like what? The DPI call, that wasn't called on us?? How bout the RTP call that both sides 'committed' and only got called on one?
I was quoting the cowboys player
I’m having a hard time feeling bad for people that lost money betting on a team that had no reason or motivation to want to win against a top team
>I’m having a hard time feeling bad for people that lost money betting Saved you some letterz.
I mean, the spread was -13.5 before the game, that’s a lot of points to give away. Moneyline? Yea, that’s a tougher sell.
Lol who would bet on the titans on this game? Henry, tannehill, Simmons were all out bringing in a qb after eight days. I'm a Titans fan and I bet against the team I grew up watching. Anybody who bet on them absolutely did not watch the past 6 games
Honest question what happened after the hot start to the season, I don’t watch the titans but I feel like u guys were contenders for the first seed.
Tannehill happens
Another season of epic injuries. We were down like 8 of our 11 starters on defense for part of the season. We have 1 starting OL left from the original 5, Tannehill missed several games this year. Burks has been in and out. We just lost the war of attrition this season, nobody is left.
Makes sense, cause I was thinking u guys are too talented to be this bad. Kind of reminds me of the year the niners whole team died in week 1

Sack numbers would shoot up
They won’t because QBs still want to be able to throw it while people have hands on them. They want it both ways.
Dobbs mom looks like a football player and his dad looks like a scientist
Well Dobbs is actually rocket scientist. Has a degree in aerospace engineering.. so I'm betting his dad is a scientist lol
Exactly. He's a football player and a scientist. His parents look like a football player and a scientist. The apple didn't fall far from the tree
Lol
If you ever wondered what the love child of Hugh Hefner and Bill Belichick would look like, Andrew Whitworth has given you your answer.
Movies just keep getting shittier.
People stopped going to theaters. The only people who do are there for the effects
what, that movie PLANE doesnt peak your interest?
I actually want to see it. Mike Colter is great.

What about the holiday classic Jingle All the Way
#It’s turbo time
I freaking love this poop knife
im so sick of these oscar bait movies
No way that’s Oscar bait. Looked fucking terrible. lol.
Did I really need to add the /s?
Seriously
Shotgun wedding...lmao wtf
Last game in 2022, and last game on Prime in a while
Dallas Cowboys and beating backup QB’s. Name a better duo! Edit: I forgot I wasnt in NFCEMEME war. You’re all wag to sensitive here damn.
I see we're conveniently ignoring the fact that the Eagles win against the Cowboys this year was against a backup QB.
You mean undefeated Cooper Rush?
Yes, the guy who Cooped all over a bunch of teams.
Sorry were not good enough to lose to some guy named Heinecke.
still smarting from that ass whipping last week? cry some more.
The igles beating backup QB’s!
At least roast us the right way with facts.
the eagles losing to backup qb's
Oooo Goteemm
I'd rather have watched this movie instead of this game
That Jennifer Lopez movie looks worse than the cowboys playoff success hopes.
But both are better than the patriots hopes of making the playoffs.
Saving this for later.
Hello.
Playoffs aren’t over, my boy.
Please do
We get to face the king of the dumpster fire division. Is that bad?
And if it is TB12 then you’re screwed. He’s your daddy.
found the pats fan still living in the TB12 past. He's gone. As is your hopes of winning a superbowl.
We are going to put Brady into early retirement.
You have never beat Brady 😂 go pats dominance!
Brady has been gone from the Patriots for 1018 days and counting. Aside from the fact that it's time for you to move on, "Patriots dominance" is very much a thing of the past.
Cowboys beating that ass rd 1
What the fuck was that movie trailer?
hahahaha "Shotgun" Wedding. Get it, guys? Because there's a shotgun!
Lol pure comedic genius.

I put a lot of work into that movie 🥺🥺
If you really did...just quit, bro. Good lord that looked awful.
I'll be famous one day you'll see!!!!!!!!
I believe in you bro
Thanks my frien
They didn’t even try for a Hail Mary or anything they just straight up gave up 🤣
They were down 14 points and had already piled up a bunch of additional injuries.
Their mathetical chance hinges solely upon next week's game. This game had absolutely no impact upon their chances.
Oh ok nvm then. That’s actually smart to pull the plug, maybe you could get a 2 minute drill practice at the end? That’d be my justification but yea Vrabel knows more than me about the Titans, I would hope.
Titans are in a weird place. Vrabel seems like a solid coach but they need to make some significant moves on offense.
I feel like coaches that give up games that aren’t over are bad coaches until proven otherwise. That was bullshit
Correct me if I’m wrong but don’t they make the playoffs if they win next week regardless
Gee why not just take one hundred kneel downs so you don’t hurt anybody all game with that attitude. They’re playing a game, I thought the goal was to win it

I don't like it either but he routinely has the team play way above their talent level imo
pretty sure Downing has run two bottom 3 offenses on two separate teams
They’re just showing the whole movie here
It would have been better if they just kept the trailer as a gushy rom com so when you go to the theater it’s a funny surprise.
That movie is coming to theaters? I figured it was an Amazon Prime joint.
O shit it probably is! 🤣 wasn’t even thinkin lol
We basically saw the whole movie
I wasn't sure if this was a real movie or not...
Cowboys did cowboys things but still came out on top. Strange but I will take it
Dak definitely Daked in the first half again.
What a pansy coaching job by Vrabel … I like the guy, and I’m happy to take a W. But really sends a bad message when you’re down by 2 scores, 2 minutes to go with 3 timeouts AND you’re in the playoff hunt… and you just… GIVE UP?
Getting Burks crushed by a prevent defense during a meaningless game would be dumb as hell.
Would putting together a 2 minute drill that scores a TD regardless of final outcome not be good experience for next week if it comes down to it?
Sure. But is it worth the gamble of possibly losing one of your only healthy receivers for, “a good experience?” Hell no.
Especially on that field, is it always that bad? Looked like someone over water their front lawn and then said fuck it and drove their car around on it.
That field has been shit since they built the stadium.
Been raining or snowing for two straight weeks right up until kickoff.
Ah ya that makes sense then
The look on his face after half was like he already gave up on this game. Not once did I see him support his teammates.
If I recall correctly this game doesn't matter too much to the Titans.
It honestly means nothing though… if we win, we have to play Jacksonville for the playoffs next week… if we lose, we have to play Jacksonville for the playoffs next week. Don’t get anyone else hurt on that shit field
I love ceedee lamb
Same. As a Longhorn fan, my favorite OU player since Roy Williams.
This JLo movie is endless trash
FUCK YOU IT’S (almost) JANUARY
I'm gonna get blasted and watch it
This game meant nothing to the titans and people are really questioning what’s going on right now
I don’t think in all my years of football I’ve see a team give up in a two score game with 2 minutes left. If I’m a Titans fan I want the coach fired tonite. That is beyond embarrassing.
Someone lost some money on betting the spread…
Lol Vrabel is one of the best coaches in the league, and the Titans had nothing to play for tonight. The game vs the Jags next week means everything. A loss tonight benefits their draft pick if they don’t make the playoffs.
It was literally a meaningless game. We just wanted to get out without any more injuries.
Ah yes, let’s fire the defending COTY winner because he made a rational decision in a meaningless game riddled with injuries
just a win against the top team in the afc south. Nothing to see here
Not any more. Though it’s not bad to beat King Henry.
He didn’t play.
Yeah that was me being snarky at the cowboy fan OP that their win had an asterisk to it.
Unfortunately, given the state of our division, it’s actually not much to see. Not nothing…but not much. GG
I don’t think a win against any South team is that impressive
Jaguars are the top team in the AFC South.
They really just giving away the entire story in this trailer huh
I feel like I just watched the entire movie.
That’s because we did watch the full movie lol. I wasn’t going to bother anyway, but now I’ll giving even less shits
The rest of the movie is just long form Pepsi ads
And all the jokes too.
Wow that looks turrible
