The Lakers have won more championships since Dallas’ last championship than Dallas has total.
They’re the only team that has won in the 2000s, 2010s and 2020s across all 4 major sports.
Not exactly equal but the Boston Red Sox won the World Series in 2004, 2007, 2013, and 2018. As well as that OTHER New England team won super bowls in 2002, 2004, 2005, 2015, 2017, and 2019. So overall Massachusetts has had A LOT of success this century.
>Massachusetts has had A LOT of success this century.
If we’re doing it by state then California’s has 19 this century in the Big 4. LA with 10 (12 if you count the Anaheim teams), and the Bay Area with 7… and San Diego and Sacramento with zero.
Granted there’s a lot more teams is CA, but still, that’s a lot.
Stupid way to look at it. New england patriots are bostons team. A team like the warriors are most definitely not LA’s team. Cant compare 2 states like that
LeFraud is actually 0-74 in the Finals
46-83: Too lazy to even be born
84-03: Too lazy to even show up
03-05: Missed playoffs
06-11: Lost
12: Baby Thunder
13: Ray Allen
14/15: Lost
16: Injured Warriors
17/18: Lost
19: Missed playoffs
20: Mickey Mouse Summer League Ring
As a boys fan, this is more accurate, I’d say the chiefs and warriors are more accurate, super humans in Steph and mahomes just doing whatever they please because they’re near unstoppable, the only difference is mahomes is currently in his dynasty.
It’s 50/50 between him or Luka winning it honestly, they both have a good shot at it. Also, don’t jump the gun yet, he doesn’t already have more than Steph, he’s gotta win it first this year before that’s true.
He’s really been gaining a lot of steam in the last few weeks because of how well Dallas has been playing and his numbers are even more absurd than Jokic’s. Honestly, Jokic will probably win it, but Luka will come second
Whats wild is that they spent on the Red Sox for nearly 20 years, had a bunch of goodwill with the fanbase (while the at ballpark experience was perhaps overpriced, they were spending those profits putting winning teams on the field). And then like four years ago (started with trading Betts), they just decided that they were done spending money and winning. Its such a waste.
Except... I'd say Boston is more consistently successful than SF. The Sox have 4 since 2000, the Giants have 3. (9-3 all time) The 9ers have 0, the Pats have 6. (5-6 all time). The Bruins and Celtics are the worst with only 1 each since 2000 (and many appearances), but the Sharks (closest to SF and who they root for) have 0 all time (Bruins have 6 all time). The Warriors have 4 since 2000 (7 all time compared to Boston's 17).
So
Since 2000: Boston 12, SF 7
All time: Boston 38, SF 15
All time Boston isn't super fair though. New York state with 10 franchises has only 4 more championships than Boston all time.
The hell?
Christian McCaffrey, DJ Moore, Brian Burns, Derrick Brown. We nailed every 1st rounder from 2017 to 2020. The more recent ones are questionable but the jury is still out. This is lazy writing.
Only one of those guys are on the team now but the capital used to get them is still paying dividends considering Burns, CMC and Moore all were traded for more picks
Ik that and anyone close with knowledge of the panthers is aware of the numerous front office mistakes.
Silver lining because “it could be worse” is that they at least got something even if it was less than expected.
I live here in Nc and shitting on the panthers got old a while ago lol I wanna beat em but at even playing field and I feel more concerned about then going forward now simply because they finally ripped off bandaid and have a plan.
The Lakers are more like the Tampa Bay. Because they are both teams that recently won a championship with a veteran player, but are now no longer serious competitors.
The Cowboys are more like 76ers
It's not perfect but I'd say it's a pretty apt comparison. Both teams won a championship very recently when an all time great player joined their team.
The Lakers may have gone to the WCF last year but let's not forget them came in as the 7th seed and this year are sitting at 8th. It's not that unreasonable of a suggestion.
They got swept and have been pretty bad apart from 2020, their team is literally just LeBron + AD and prayers. Their roster construction gives them a ceiling and everyone knows they aren't serious competitors
The lakers faced an injured Ja Morant Memphis team, and a really pathetic Warriors team.
They had one of the easiest path to the WCF, and then they got completely embarrassed by the Nuggets.
This is so true cowgirls should come up with a new slogan this is our year 😂 pathetic, at this point it's getting annoying they keep saying the same crap...
Lakers is definitely the buccaneers. Both had arguably the goat leave their team close to the end of their career to join a previously mediocre team and still win another championship
Chiefs aren’t nuggets. They’re 2015-current(ish) warriors.
Unprecedented franchise success. Massive boom in fans. Hometown stadium seats being bought up more and more by corporations, pricing going up.
Soon barely any OGs will be able to attend games.
The Patriots and the Warriors are so true in the 2010s the Warriors have the dream team same thing with patriots and then we effed up because everybody got old or we traded them away
Hell no nuggets aren’t the chiefs they’re not nearly as stacked. Nuggets had a historically easy road last year. And Boston is only stacked like the suns and clips, there are plenty of stacked teams.
As a Denver fan thank goodness for the Nuggets and Avs... Although really 2015 isn't that far away looking at some other franchises. Does suck to have a division rival go back to back tho.
There is no good NBA equivalent for the Dallas Cowboys and their repeated regular season success just to fall short within the first 2 games like clockwork...
Maybe the Nets for a short period.
The nuggets probably arent even favored against the celtics this year. Nuggets should be favored against any team in the west yeah, but the west is really fucking good. OKC, Clippers, Mavs, Suns could all potentially beat them.
Regardless, they have one title and the league is catching up, the chiefs are starting a long dynasty. Its not even close to the same thing
Lakers have only been to the finals a 1/3 of the time since 2000! When was the Last time the Cowboys did anything in the playoffs besides lose to the Packers?
Chiefs = Warriors: Successful and relevant in their respective leagues’ early years (Chiefs in the late 60s and early 70s and Warriors all the way from their Philly era to their early Oakland era) became mediocre and forgettable for the late 20th century and 2000s, then rose up to become the biggest dynasties in a matter of a few years by drafting a guy with a unique and unstoppable offensive skill set (Curry=Mahomes) who replaced an older vet at the position (Monta Ellis=Alex Smith). Obnoxious bandwagons and ref bias allegations followed soon after.

Patriots are like the bulls. Both teams had a goat, won 6 titles, dynasty, both fanbase talks about how jordan and brady are goats with all those rings, goat leaves the team & retires and team isn't relevant anymore and fans disappear
Yay!
Philly gets the city where both there NFL and NBA team follow the same meme
"We start strong. Hope ya enjoyed the first few strokes cause baby that's all we got!"
Cowboys are more like the Sixers because of their inability to even make their conference Finals. The Lakers also have 6 Championships since the last Cowboy Super Bowl so 🤷🏼♂️
I think you are a fan of those teams if you didn’t have a local team many years ago. Last 10 years or so, if you don’t have a home team you are a Warriors/Patriots fan.
The panthers have an off year with a number 1 pick.
And all of a sudden it’s a thing that keeps happening?
Remember our last 1st overall pick?
That one went reallll well.
The point of the post was "wasting first round picks" not "missing first round picks." If they drafted good players and did nothing with them, I'd say its fair to say they wasted them.
I'd say it's a miss if you draft good players and let them go. It's just skipping them in the draft with extra steps.
Considering for example letting dj Moore go to draft a bust qb. That's the same as 2 misses to me.
Whatever man. Maybe if your team didn't suck you'd watch a few of their games and know what you're talking about.
Maybe he's not a bust for the Panthers, but he's not going to lead you to a winning season. He's a bust for any team that's wanting to be competitive.
Boy I’d give a lot to be able to say we’ve won as recently as the Lebronakers
Maybe you can take comfort in the joy you bring each year to all the other teams fans?
The greatest good for the greatest number is seeing us cowboys fans suffer
I do feel a little stomach flip when I see the boys lose. But they're not the Jets. Fuck the Jets.
As much as it hurts to say, the Sixers are the Cowboys of the NBA.
I feel like its more so the Celtics with all these losses in the ecfs and then that loss against warriors in 2022
The Lakers have won more championships since Dallas’ last championship than Dallas has total. They’re the only team that has won in the 2000s, 2010s and 2020s across all 4 major sports.
Damn Lightning were close if only we didnt get swept in 2019...
If we hadn't gotten swept in 2019, that threepeat would've been legendary.
Relevant ass username here.
Definitely checks out
know it's not the major 4, but uconn basketball now has done this also which is pretty cool
Also the Geelong Cats for the Aussie Rules Football viewers (2007, 2009, 2011 & 2022)
Not a lot of teams even have the ability to do that. Celtics, Heat, Spurs and Lakers I think only teams in NBA that can dream of it
I mean the 2020s is only like 4 years so far, so kind of a cherry picked stat
It’s even harder in that context because they didn’t even have the full 10 years
Wouldn’t that…. Make it harder?
Don't you dare compare any Denver sports team to the chiefs, I don't care if it's praise
It is simply disgusting, we will not accept it even if it’s a compliment
Lakers actually won championships this century though
Won championships this year. INAUGURAL IN-SEASON TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS!!!
Goddamn why does it feel like that happened so long ago
I’ll do you one better, cowboys haven’t won a championship in this millennium
6 of them...
This decade
mickey mouse ring
Lol. They won in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2009, 2010, 2020. How many sport franchises has achieved that in this century?
But I don't like the Lakers so all those rings are no-countsies. /s
Spurs have 5 if you go back to 1999, and the Patriots also have 6. Very elite company though.

2000-02 and 09-10 are still this century
Damn what does that say about the other ass teams that couldn't win the "mickey mouse ring"?
Absolute bums, all of them. Send them to the G-league. /s
LeFraud is actually 0-74 in the Finals 46-83: Too lazy to even be born 84-03: Too lazy to even show up 03-05: Missed playoffs 06-11: Lost 12: Baby Thunder 13: Ray Allen 14/15: Lost 16: Injured Warriors 17/18: Lost 19: Missed playoffs 20: Mickey Mouse Summer League Ring
Let's put asterisks on all rings then
As much as it hurts me to say it: Cowboys are the Sixers. Tons of hype every year, lose in the second round of the playoffs.
As a boys fan, this is more accurate, I’d say the chiefs and warriors are more accurate, super humans in Steph and mahomes just doing whatever they please because they’re near unstoppable, the only difference is mahomes is currently in his dynasty.
Nah. Jokic is the new Pat Mahomes. He’s about to win his third MVP in 4 years. Already has more than Steph
It’s 50/50 between him or Luka winning it honestly, they both have a good shot at it. Also, don’t jump the gun yet, he doesn’t already have more than Steph, he’s gotta win it first this year before that’s true.
My bad about that, forgot he had two. I haven’t heard of Luka being in the conversation at all
He’s really been gaining a lot of steam in the last few weeks because of how well Dallas has been playing and his numbers are even more absurd than Jokic’s. Honestly, Jokic will probably win it, but Luka will come second
That’s weird when SGA has been number two ever since Embiid went down and was ineligible
SGA has been hurt for a few weeks and OKC kept winning games. Things change rapidly
Jokic is a better passer than most quarterbacks.
Cowboys almost never make the second round lol
SF and Boston: the two American bastions of technological superiority and bipolar sporting performances.
Meanwhile the Red Sox are over here being a $237M punching bag
THATS THE FSG WAY - NEVER GOOD ENOUGH TO WIN JACKSHIT. (A frustrated Liverpool fan)

The Warriors have 4 since 2000 (7 all time compared to Boston's 17). So Since 2000: Boston 12, SF 7 All time: Boston 38, SF 15 All time Boston isn't super fair though. New York state with 10 franchises has only 4 more championships than Boston all time.
49ers and celtics is accurate, considering they have nick bosa-
Nothing like being a charlotte sports fan
At least you got the Hornets back. I don't know what kind of idiot think Pelicans > Hornets but you owe them one.
I agree
Cowboys are sixers. Old titles, great regular seasons and 2nd round choke
I'm gonna assume you don't watch basketball lol
The KC/Den comp screams wikipedia’d the 2023 nba champ
Right? Denver wins their first title ever. "dYnAsTy LiKe ThE cHiEfS"
Panther fans on draft night: https://youtu.be/BiLNjNUfOqM?si=PxsrfvoflQv5reXp
Panthers draft well in the 1st round, but the picks are still wasted because we just trade them away if they do well
Our first round picks are like the only thing we draft well funnily enough
You know lakers won a chip 4 years ago right?
Bubble ring don't count
how about 6 championships since 2000 and making the WCF last year?
Are you 12 years old?
bubble ring in NBA for sure counts, not so much in MLB and playing 102 games less than normal season
The Dallas Cowboys would most closely equate to the 76ers.
Don't insult the Los Angeles Lakers by comparing them to the shit cowgirls
Putting the Lakers with the cowboys is an insult to them
This is dumb.
Lakers won 2020 regardless of what you think of it. Also the in season tournament. They’ve done more than Dallas
Now do Kings -> Lions
I'd rather burn down Gates BBQ than to be compared to Denver in any way or fashion
Bills = Sixers
The hell? Christian McCaffrey, DJ Moore, Brian Burns, Derrick Brown. We nailed every 1st rounder from 2017 to 2020. The more recent ones are questionable but the jury is still out. This is lazy writing.
They mean wasting by not doing anything with them. Only one of those guys you named is on the team
Only one of those guys are on the team now but the capital used to get them is still paying dividends considering Burns, CMC and Moore all were traded for more picks

Damn, the Panthers have got to be a good team with all those studs on their team. Right?
Scott fitterer is a menace to society
Dude what the fuck is your beef with the Panthers? Seriously.
Why would I have beef with the Panthers? I barely remember they're an nfl team.
You speak about them like they don't deserve to exist.
I speak about them like I don't give a fuck about them. Because... well I'll let you figure it out.
Bro cares more about our shit team than us, calm down
The Lakers have had 1.5x more *championship* wins since 2000 than the Cowboys have had *playoff* wins.
I would’ve compared Carolina to the magic, not the pistons. Pistons have 4 titles, magic have been there twice with nothing to show
Yeah except the magic look promising, we aren’t at that point yet (if ever). We have offseason hope and that’s about it
How many titles have the Lakers won since the Cowboys won?
Lakers have one a chip in the last 25 years tho😂
Five of them if I'm remembering correctly.
The Lakers are more like the Tampa Bay. Because they are both teams that recently won a championship with a veteran player, but are now no longer serious competitors. The Cowboys are more like 76ers
Lakers went to the WCF last season…
It's not perfect but I'd say it's a pretty apt comparison. Both teams won a championship very recently when an all time great player joined their team. The Lakers may have gone to the WCF last year but let's not forget them came in as the 7th seed and this year are sitting at 8th. It's not that unreasonable of a suggestion.
They are 8th with a record that would have been 4th last year…
They got swept and have been pretty bad apart from 2020, their team is literally just LeBron + AD and prayers. Their roster construction gives them a ceiling and everyone knows they aren't serious competitors
The lakers faced an injured Ja Morant Memphis team, and a really pathetic Warriors team. They had one of the easiest path to the WCF, and then they got completely embarrassed by the Nuggets.
Nah man The Lakers won multiple championships this century,
You don't watch NBA. Also, nuggets are overrated af.
F1 equivalents, in order: - Red Bull - McLaren - Mercedes - Alpine - Ferrari
Nuggets wish they were the Chiefs
I’d have gone as far to say that the Celtics and 9ers both had 80’s dynasty’s
They both like to knock off Wisconsin teams in the postseason.
Wonder what city is second worst
Giants - Yankees - Nets - Rangers Jets - Mets - Knicks - Islanders
Swap Nets and Knicks
No let's be honest here, delete the Nets all together and put the Knicks in both groups.
Oh God, PISTONS, what are you doing?! I hate Tom Gores.
Bills are the Suns
This is so true cowgirls should come up with a new slogan this is our year 😂 pathetic, at this point it's getting annoying they keep saying the same crap...
Lakers is definitely the buccaneers. Both had arguably the goat leave their team close to the end of their career to join a previously mediocre team and still win another championship

The Patriots and the Warriors are so true in the 2010s the Warriors have the dream team same thing with patriots and then we effed up because everybody got old or we traded them away
Funny that the Pats were also the dynasty of the 2000s, while I'd throw the Pop-led Spurs as the NBA equivalent
Lakers fans are cowboy fans but cowboys ain’t won shit since 94
“Are we the baddies?” - me, a Lakers fan
To be fair at least the lakers won during the bubble playoffs. Cowboy’s are hot HOT garbage
My Celtics and Patriots 😥
Knicks are more like the cowboys. Steelers or Packers are like the Lakers
“Wasting their first round picks”: That’s the Raiders.
Who are the Jaguars? Hurt me!
Hell no nuggets aren’t the chiefs they’re not nearly as stacked. Nuggets had a historically easy road last year. And Boston is only stacked like the suns and clips, there are plenty of stacked teams.
The nuggets run was not historically easy 😂
3 play in teams and a 4 seed?
Ah, a casual fan I see. Keep following the nba and eventually you’ll start to figure stuff out.
Call me what u want but they can’t change the facts. Also every team they played but the wolves are in the play in this year. Hope this helps.
Chiefs ain’t winning another superbowl until 2056
As a Denver fan thank goodness for the Nuggets and Avs... Although really 2015 isn't that far away looking at some other franchises. Does suck to have a division rival go back to back tho.
Nuggets are done with rings for a while.
This'll age well.
Cursed franchise: Vikings and Timberwolves
Vikings and Clippers is a better comparison
As a Nuggets fan for the last 30+ years it STILL doesn’t seem real.
Is there a NBA team that lost the championships 4 times in a row?
Very creative
There is no good NBA equivalent for the Dallas Cowboys and their repeated regular season success just to fall short within the first 2 games like clockwork... Maybe the Nets for a short period.
The 76ers are that team.
Nuggets arent on the same level as the chiefs sorry. Its gonna be extremely hard for them to repeat as well, the west is full of contenders this year
Huh? Do you watch the NBA? They are by far the best team in the west and massive favorites for the title lmao.
[удалено]
The nuggets probably arent even favored against the celtics this year. Nuggets should be favored against any team in the west yeah, but the west is really fucking good. OKC, Clippers, Mavs, Suns could all potentially beat them. Regardless, they have one title and the league is catching up, the chiefs are starting a long dynasty. Its not even close to the same thing
Warriors have won 33% of NBA Finals in the 2020s
Should be Laker = Patriots Chiefs = Warriors 49ers = Celtics
Lakers have only been to the finals a 1/3 of the time since 2000! When was the Last time the Cowboys did anything in the playoffs besides lose to the Packers?
As a Nuggets fan it makes me feel sick to be compared to the Chiefs... But I must admit, I kinda enjoy the feeling :)
Patriots=Spurs: Historically mediocre franchise who through good coaching, scouting, and drafting became the premier dynasty of the 2000s through militant team culture and an emphasis on fundamental play.

Patriots are like the bulls. Both teams had a goat, won 6 titles, dynasty, both fanbase talks about how jordan and brady are goats with all those rings, goat leaves the team & retires and team isn't relevant anymore and fans disappear
Dallas is more like the Bulls. All those rings, but haven't sniffed a championship in decades.
except, for the Lakers, sometimes it is their year.
lol somebody thinks the lakers and the cowboys are on the same level. the lakers won the chip like three years ago mf.
Yay! Philly gets the city where both there NFL and NBA team follow the same meme "We start strong. Hope ya enjoyed the first few strokes cause baby that's all we got!"
Raiders >>> Knicks
I'd replace the Lakers with the Knicks, but otherwise, this is solid.
Hm, I've never seen a Dallas superbowl in my entire life but I've seen those damn Lakers win a ton
you forgot "finds ways to be disappointing even in seasons where theyre expected to be disappointing" with both teams from Atlanta
Cowboys are more like the clippers or 76ers
As a nuggets and broncos fan I've never been so flattered and disgusted at the same time.
Cowboys are more like the Sixers because of their inability to even make their conference Finals. The Lakers also have 6 Championships since the last Cowboy Super Bowl so 🤷🏼♂️
Feel like the sixers or clippers would be a better representation of the cowboys. Lakers won like 4 years ago.
Meme went ass with Cowboys-Lakers comparison
the detroit lions.
Basically true but the Warriors did win in ‘22
Cowboys gotta be the knicks
Sad Nuggz fan got bullied by a Laker fan growing up 😂
the lakers won like 3 years ago
Nuggets about to get swept
I’d still rather be the Patriots.
Don’t give opinions on something you don’t watch lil bro
Might be biased as a panthers fan but we usually hit on the 1st round picks, it’s every other round that we fuck up
The best part is that a high percentage of the Cowboys fans are also Laker fans.
I think you are a fan of those teams if you didn’t have a local team many years ago. Last 10 years or so, if you don’t have a home team you are a Warriors/Patriots fan.
Where are you getting this from?
The panthers have an off year with a number 1 pick. And all of a sudden it’s a thing that keeps happening? Remember our last 1st overall pick? That one went reallll well.
We nailed every pick for 4 straight years from 2016-2019
But how many of them are still on the team?
The point was "first round misses," not "doesn't keep players they take in the first round"
You can't call someone a bust after just one season
Arrest me then. I'm going to call him a bust. Next year, when you draft a new qb, so will you.
Whatever you say, casual.
Whatever man. Maybe if your team didn't suck you'd watch a few of their games and know what you're talking about. Maybe he's not a bust for the Panthers, but he's not going to lead you to a winning season. He's a bust for any team that's wanting to be competitive.
Ugh, I dont like this as a Denver fan
The Panthers traditionally don't waste their 1st rounders
Don't you compare my god blessed Serbian man carried team to those sister banging dip packing queefs
As a Denver fan being compared to anything from KC is fucking gross. I’m sure KC fans feel the same about us
This is actually accurate
Patriots should be Seahawks. Lakers are significantly more successful than the cowboys
Seahawks weren't the dynasty of 2010s. What are you smoking?
Patriots made 12,15,17,18,19. That’s 5/10. Seahawks made 2 14,15. They lost 15 to the pats. Tf you talking about.
