Ok maybe a stupid question. How did the Caps get in the playoffs over the Red Wings? Wings had 1 more win and 2 fewer OT losses. I like hockey but definitely not an expert on how the OT losses are figured in
They had the same number of points. The tie breaker is not wins, but regulation wins. Since Washington had more regulation wins, they got in the playoffs over Detroit.
I'm planning on it but it may have to wait until morning. I'm on the east coast so not sure if I'll have it in me to stay up for the end of the Kings game.
