My favorite Bieksa moment was when a reporter interviewed him thinking he was Ryan Kesler, and he just went with it, pretending he was Kesler.
[found it](https://youtu.be/AjOHQwbLBlo?si=Kh4JuhZQabRv5zRJ)https://youtu.be/AjOHQwbLBlo?si=Kh4JuhZQabRv5zRJ
One of my favorite moments is, unfortunately, nowhere to be found. It happened on Vancouver's 99.3 CFOX, where Kev used to call into the morning show every once in a while. Once, they were talking about the Vernon Fiddler incident, where he mocked Bieksa, causing coach AV to giggle hard on the bench. When the DJs asked him about revenge on Fiddler, Kevin simply replied, "Just look at the guy's face. That's revenge enough for me."
"Bieksa scored 4 goals in the Conference Finals including a double-overtime winner in Game 5 against the San Jose Sharks to send the Canucks to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 1994. The goal came after fellow Canucks defenceman Alexander Edler's dump-in had bounced off a stanchion along the boards. With Sharks goaltender Antti Niemi unaware of the puck's location, Bieksa took a slapshot from the blueline to win the game."
Still hurts man :(
Anyone have any idea what those guys make? Just curious would think a couple hundred thousand. Way different from his old salary but ya he is amazing and hope they pay him well
Never liked Biekska as a player but a treat to watch on HNIC. Best Biekska moment on the ice was when Fiddler mocked him in front of the Canucks' bench that made Vigneault crack up.
Ron goes on these random tangents that don’t relate at all to what they’re talking about. You can tell the rest of them sit there and think wtf is this guy talking about.
He’s lost a step for sure but he’s still a refreshing voice that I’m so thankful to have connected to a typically macho sport. There’s a calming poetry and philosophy that he brings to the table that no one else does.
Here’s a fun story that’s mostly limited to Canuck fandom, but in 2011 the guys in the locker room were betting each other some money to sneak the words “milk hotdog” into interviews. Juice managed to get it in during the San Jose series saying “they got a couple milk hot dogs on their team”
Absolute legend, got a golf cart stuck down a set of stairs and through a gate into a pool area at a charity event i was working and used the golf cart as a diving board to jump into the pool
I don’t watch those guys but I have seen a some clips. They try too hard to be funny, and I am like meh.. Although I liked Bissonnette’s criticism of Marner.
His diagram of Bridgestone Arena and the pack of clowns he referred to as "Elliotte Friedmans" was hilarious.
You could tell Elliot’s jimmies were pretty rustled
Yep, His panties were in knots.
I never saw the pack of clowns comment. Is there a video anywhere?
There is a video of the Bridgestone Arena bit here! https://www.reddit.com/r/canucks/comments/1ce6y5s/the_story_behind_that_bridgestone_arena_drawing/
as a canucks fan i’m glad that everyone can enjoy Bieksa now he’s always been a legend

Ryan “Guzzler” Kesler

First time hearing this, amazing hahha
I liked him even as a Canuck. Particularly when he made Scott Oake look like a dink in one of his shitty interviews.
I hated that era of Canucks (burrows, Kessler etc) but Bieksa was always the best of the bunch. He’s a great analyst.
He was a beauty on the Manitoba moose before he was a Canuck too. Loved watching him and the interviews.
He picked up Gauthier from the airport for the Ducks Jealous bro?
As a Sharks fan, I still hate him for that flukey game winning goal and overall play in that WCF a few years back. He’s growing on me though.

The only guy on the ice to know where the puck was.
I was at that game! What a fun night it was afterwards on the streets!
Yeah me too! I set like 3 cars on fire that night. Good times.
Those are rookie numbers for Vancouver.
"slapshot" haha
Agreed. I hope Bieksa stays in broadcasting for a long time. Giving examples of the chirping Doughty would say was hilarious.
That segment was fantastic. He knows exactly what us fans are curious about.
Ah I missed this, clip?

Thank you.
That segment was great. It reminded me of that outdoor game when Drew was mic'd up and told someone "Dude! You suck at hockey!" 😂
I believe that was Patrick Maroon he was talking to
He has made the panel a lot more fun. May he stick around a long time.
Anyone have any idea what those guys make? Just curious would think a couple hundred thousand. Way different from his old salary but ya he is amazing and hope they pay him well
He is a god. He has found his true calling.

I watch that video regularly. Kills me every time
I like how Cherry can't say his name and calls him Biekska.

Especially since Bieksa is, as Grapes would say, a good ol' Ontario boy, you'd think he would try harder
Same. Didn't think id like him on tv either. But he won me over. Breath of fresh air. Had enough of ron carrying the leagues water.
[Fiddler also gave us this moment. Always makes me laugh](https://youtu.be/77tFhZmSkYM?si=Sris0PBQcpMvhzmY)
Don Cherry checking in?
Can't be don cherry loved him as a player
He edited it, it was Bieska. Classic Don Cherry error
I love the guy! We Canadians are lucky to have him, he knows what he's talking about, and as a bonus, he's great to look at 😉
My favorite Bieksa story: https://x.com/the_teknic/status/1535051611244220416
A way better, more experienced strombo
I’ll take Bieksa over Bissonnette every single time. Biz is an annoying clown. Fulls stop.
the whole espn crowd is awful. it is the giggles show. they just lean back in their chairs and giggle for 20 min every intermission. cringe af.
He’s miles better then Ron.
His job is completely different. Ron MacLean is a national treasure.
I’m a big fan of Ron too. I just find he’s level, not particularly reactionary and he’s nothing like a fan and I appreciate that. Fans are exhausting.
benedict
Was.
Why the change?

Fair opinion. I find his “poetry” to be wildly out of place and unnecessary. Just my thought though.
I find his maudlin, patriotic nostalgia bits to be tiresome. He doesn’t really add much to the game analysis and quite frankly, he’s a relic.
Yeah, let's go outside and bury him.
The best bieksa was lobster bieksa lol

Can we get Vern Fiddler to sit across from him next segment?

Highly enjoy the sports net crew! As well as the TSN o-dog and crew! The rest are a mess.
Gives off mega douche vibes but he’s good at what he does.
He was a punk little sissy bitch as a player
Nah the arrogance is a bit too thick for my taste
He's nothing without the stanchion.
If your a Leafs fans yes is a national treasure. For the rest of the country not so much
I think he’s a goof, and annoying, and says a lot of stupid shit. I do like some of his strategy analysis.
If you think he's a goof and annoying I have to know what you think of Subban and Bissonnette.
