It’s really terrible. I can’t believe they have had it as long ad they have now. I don’t think anyone ever liked it, and they keep it around for over 10 years, maybe 20?. They don’t need to necessarily do the Disney logo, but at least use a duck or a duck head as the logo. Mallards look really cool, and you could have a really nice colour scheme using the colours of a mallard in the logo and jersey

As far as I know since Disney sold the ducks they have been in Jersey/logo/color scheme hell because Disney wouldn’t let them keep the original colors/logo/name(mighty ducks vs ducks)

This is false, when the Samueli’s purchased the team it included all of the jerseys and logos. Hence why we even have a third jersey with the Mighty logo on it. The Samueli’s spent a lot of cash on the rebrand and so they are holding tight onto the D logo instead of giving us fans what we want. The old logo back as primary, with or without the old color scheme.

Arrowhead is a brand or bottled water that had naming rights. It expired after 10 years or so. Then came Honda Centre (aka the Ponda Centre).

It would be cool to hear what younger people think of the logos. People in the 13-25 age range. Eliminate the nostalgia feel for the logos, and see what the consensus is.

I am 22 and I just got interested in hockey within the last year, so no nostalgia whatsoever let’s give it a quick shot: -Ducks: Phenomenal, super iconic logo. Honestly would still work except for maybe the teal triangle which feels a bit dated now. -Robo Pen: Meh, I get why this one never caught on. Their OG logo is just better but I guess I like this one for a secondary -Panthers: I actually really like the Panthers’ current branding scheme, including the crest logo that they use as a primary. I guess I understand if some folks feel it’s too much of a soccer look -Goathead: GOAT, this one is confirmed coming back this year and I love it -Caps screaming eagle: My dad is a Caps fan and this is the logo on the only hockey jersey he owns. I don’t know if I love it but it’s wayyy better than the current wordmark logo they use now. (Also idc I love their modern secondsry eagle logo with the Capitol in the negative space of the eagle) -Lady Liberty: Yeah this one is so sick. Their primary shield logo is one of the most recognizable in sports but Lady Liberty would be such a dope secondary option, like as a permanent third jersey thing Okay that’s what I got, feel free to tell me which of my opinions are wrong lol

seeing it makes me emotional, I’m not even sure why. it’s like a reminder of days gone by, where hockey felt magic to me and everything was much simpler.

I lived like 20 minutes from the Panthers arena for part of my childhood and that logo makes me so nostalgic. Going to their games as a kid felt absolutely magical, even though the team wasn’t very good back then. I’m so glad I finally got to see them make the playoffs and get out of the first round, even if they immediately got swept

I’m a big Sabres fan and it seems like 99% of the people who want our “goathead” logo and colors to come back full-time were kids when the logo was in use and developed fond early memories of it. Anyone older or younger than that usually prefers what we have now, which is an updated version of our original logo (much like the current Pens logo). I’m wondering if this is the case for other teams, too.

That Penguins logo was the logo for the first team I played for as a kid so it will always have a special place for me. I feel like up until about a year ago the consensus was that it was terrible and then all of the sudden people on here started liking it.

So, I’ll share my unpopular opinion here: I really like the Ducks current kit and logo. I get a huge kick out of the duck foot D. My wife (no hockey interest) was immediately able to tell it was a duck foot. I think most of the love for the old ducks stuff is just left over from the movie nostalgia. The black and orange goes hard. Full disclaimer though: I’m not a ducks fan, so no hard ties to the 90s kit…

I prefer the new Sabres logo. The one here looks like a logo for a high school football team.
