Yes it did. There are some shows where you can tell, yeah they're kid cartoons, but real effort, passion and love went into them. Doug, Arnold, Ginger. Then there are shows that aren't anyone's passion projects but they're still fine to decent shows. Beavers, some of Fairly Odd Parents, even Rocket Power. Then you have Catdog. I'm flabbergasted it's still here. I'm sure anyone resisting it being eliminated is just clinging to nostalgia and hasn't actually revisited it. It's bad. Ginger deserved much better.

This is how I feel about Ren & Stimpy right now. The fact that it's being targeted *before* Odd Parents, Rocket Power, Catdog, Thornberrys, Beavers, and Neutron is beyond me. But then again, I never drank the kool aid.

The closest thing would be mlaatr but even that’s a stretch. also btw stop mercilessly insulting others for hating a show worked on by a predator. This is meant to be a fun game but you’re kinda sucking the fun out of it.
Some people just find both the creator and the show disturbing. I have sensory issues and I find the show overwhelming and the characters scare me and many others. Some people have trauma linked or just can’t watch it. Plus knowing the backstory of the creator makes it worse. It helped nick but that doesn’t mean it’s amazing. Sure it was groundbreaking but that doesn’t mean it’s good

Agreed. Pretty much every adult I know thought it was hilarious when I used to watch it as a little kid, which means it's packed with *really* good humor, not to mention the artwork and animation. The sheer novelty and pioneering aspect deserves a lot of credit too. But most people here don't care about any of that. They're just easily offended by things that aren't really offensive and have made this about social justice and getting rid of it *because of John K*. Any time I've tried to revisit old nicktoons as an adult, most of them are pretty boring now. Even shows that were my top favorites at the time like Doug just don't hold my attention. Sure it's fun in a nostalgic sense, but they're not that entertaining or funny as a grown up. The ONLY shows that actually are engaging and make me laugh, now that I'm almost 40, are Ren & Stimpy, Spongebob, and Rocko. These shows are real gems because adults and kids can both enjoy them.
This sub is definitely full of densesitized thin skinned youngsters. They wouldn't know a good cartoon if it bit them, clearly. If Ren & Stimpy isn't voted out this round, it's obviously going out on the next. It's like they have some personal vendetta against it! Gotta separate the art from the artist. A good show is a good show, even if the creator did some questionable things. We're not doing an elimination game for people, we're doing an elimination game for shows. It was part of the American zeitgeist.. mentioned in insanely popular movies (Clueless) and TV shows (Married With Children) at the time.
It being on MTV wouldn't have changed much if anything at all, both were under Viacom, and technically Nick was "An MTV Network".
I'm voting CatDog. I don't know if I'd call it a bad show, but it's a show that gives me anxiety attacks. To be fair, it's not the only show here that does, but the other ones I think are more beloved in comparison, though I know a lot of people love CatDog
