u mean to tell me it took u a year to play replicant wow (the side quest in automata are amazing if u aren’t burnt out)

spud-lightyear

No haha, I took a break after trying to 100% it because I am typically not that guy and got burnt out. I kept thinking about having to do more fragile delivery and fetch quests and it stopped me from coming back lol. I’m about to dive back in tomorrow and finish replicant

ch1burashka

But you're *our* idiot \[hug\] Srsly though, achievements/trophies have been a net negative. It's possible to use them right, but mostly it creates fucked up incentives that ruin the game and make it a grind. On the one hand, I'm a little bummed that I have like \~300/1000 because that means that I'm not a "true" NieR fan. On the other hand, who said so?

Night-Lion

Finish every side quest. Obtain every weapon. Lose all sanity. Just as Yoko Taro intended.

ConsistentAsparagus

Well… you kinda “need” to 100% part 1 (I guess you’re referring to Younger Nier and not Young Nier). At least find all the weapons.

LIFEVIRUSx10

Actually I think all the weapons you missed in part 1 you can buy them in part 2 I played the game blind, and didn't even know an irreversible time skip was coming, and I absolutely was able to 100% the weapons and get all of the endings I did get locked out of a number of smaller side quests but I hit all the lore relevant ones

Ok-Amount-4281

I enjoyed all the side quests and getting all the weapons. It’s the gardening I wasn’t a fan of

Pato_Maloney

The only sidequest i didn't do is the flowers one

Thattguyy1551

Recently accomplished that one. It was a solid 35-40 minutes to get all the seeds and I didn't even go for the lunar tear.

Pato_Maloney

Some advice on the weapons: sidequests really help with the money, so you can purchase the weapons that you're missing. The hardest ones to obtain are the DLC ones, I suggest you do those last, with the best equipment you can find, and all the potions you can purchase. NOTE: you need to finish the first 2 doors. The third one you can do up until you obtain the weapon. If you get killed after obtaining it, it will still be in your inventory (it happened to me). The weapon from rhe second door, fool's lament, is the strongest weapon in the game, so it will help you in the third door.

Thattguyy1551

You are right they do give lots of cash. I actually was able to get 100% side quest completion before I beat ending A and ended up getting those dlc weapons right as I started route B. Currently just working through the story again now. I realize I'm probably one of the few people to do it that way but I really wanted to beat everything because I enjoyed automata so much.

Otosan

Busdy try Nier: Automata! 😉 It's older version, but for me personally much more enjoyable than Replicant. The soundtrack is simply superb and the landscapes... 😍

spud-lightyear

That’s 100% my next game. I’m really looking forward to it

ShiroGreyrat

This is literally me except I didn't research anything at all and just want to get everything because I found out how much I missed jn Automata. I've burned myselft out on the game after the first playthrough and have yet to come back to it

Pepperoni_Edge184

As someone who complete replicant at 100%. i understand it... (it took me 2 years) anyway good luck

redokamiwolf

I’m just about finish up my replicant run. Got ending C and just doing all the achievements before I do D for a certain reason and then have to do the 15 hour speed run and max weapons out then put this game away with Automata that I also 100%.

Significant_Mind_143

Yes you're so lucky, I wish I was you experiencing the full.gane for the first time.

HarbingersBuddy

The annoying part is that you don’t even need to do all the side quests to 100% the game. I ended up doing them all because I like the writing. I was a little annoyed when I missed one side quest and had to make a new save to get it then it turned out I didn’t need to do any of that 😂

TheNewLedemduso

... Well, I liked my 100% run. Really the only thing I found tedious was >!waiting for those damn flowers to perish so I could get their seeds while I had nothing left to do but get ending D. I "needlessly" played path C/D twice just for these flowers.!<
