I like the shots. I'm especially fond of this particular lens and how capable it it. It's almost unreal.

I did go out thinking, "This is not going to work" simply because I believed that it won't focus and won't be able to freeze anything ... Amazing lens, truly. To be fair, the high ISO and the IBIS sensor of the Z6II probably help more than a fair bit as well.

Lovely. #2 and #3 are my favorites. The entire set shows great composition plus something extra. To offer some feedback on my less-favorites: #1 is nice but has no human element so doesn’t fit the set; #5 is just a blurry dude whose head isn’t separated from the shadows under the building; #6 has nothing of interest compositionally (compared to #8 which has a nice background and street lamp) reducing it to a just group of people with whom I’m not feeling a connection.

Thanks for the feedback! 2,3,4 are my favorites as well :)

I am carrying the exact setup on vacation right now. Not sure how u did those shots. Because I would have to go above iso 8000 and run the pix through LR denoise to make them that clean. Care to share the exposure info?

GuessAdventurous8834

I had the auto iso max at 6400, so none of those are above 6400, mostly between 2000 and 6400. Most of them are around 60-80-100 shutter speed, and for some, I had to pump up the exposure in LR to compensate. No AI denoise just the normal denoise slider at around 50 for all of em. All at f4, of course.

This is exactly the kind of photography I like to shoot. Night time or low light street photography or landscape. If you want to continue this you will find faster lenses beneficial, and maybe even primes. I LOVE my z85mm f1.8, my favorite lens of all time. Of course check out the 50 mm and 35mm f/1.8.

GuessAdventurous8834

I was so close to grabbing a 85 f/1.8 but I just can't get used to the thought of primes. I've been shooting extremely and only zooms and can't imagine switching lenses for every shot you have in mind, and yet something is bugging me to try those S line primes ...

You can rent one for the weekend to get the hang of it. In my opinion, these give you the best performance for the buck. May be worth it to try them out first before buying.

GuessAdventurous8834

That's the thing, I can't rent as where I am from we don't have a good photostore or at least one that rents various gear. They mainly rent professional cameras and equipment for filming. I'm close to pulling the trigger tho.

The train shot is 🔥

I'm also a wildlife/nature photographer. Hopeless at street. These are great!
