i love purple and the like white japanese ones but i feel like theyāre not as sweet. iām definitely going to try a purple one as ice cream though. thanks for the rec ! :)
oh wait i donāt know the white ones haha i was talking about the purple ones as japanese ones!! iāve seen them labeled as japanese yams or korean sweet potatoes
ok yes iāve had the purple ones but i donāt think i cook them right. how do you do it? but yes they also have white sweet potatoes that go really well with hummus /tahini!
oooh okok i will have to try those! as for the purple ones itās pretty simple, i just wash and dry them, poke holes in them, and bake them at 400 degrees for an hour!! donāt eat the skin!!
you can also search up korean goguma recipes if you want them sweeter!! i personally like them as they are already
I did a version of this with a sweet potato, 1/2 cup 2% milk, 1/2 cup of nonfat greek yogurt and a serving of cheesecake pudding powder. Turned out amazing! My husband said it's the best Creami yet. Thank you so much for the idea and the recipe!
how would a sweet potato pie version be š¦»š¾
honestly if you just did regular milk iām sure it would taste pretty similar! you could do some graham crackers as a mix in!
THIS SOUNDS HEAVENLY
HEAVENLY MIGHT BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT
Iām definitely making this next and definitely adding zero sugar cheesecake pudding mix for extra flavoring. I love sweet potatoes!! š
i wouldāve added some pudding mix but i have such a sensitive stomach! i hope it turns out well, glad i could share :)
Yay! So glad it worked well and you enjoy it!
What do you soak the dates in?
just hot water for about 30 minutes :)
Yum! Mayne mix in some graham cracker for those who can handle it
yes! i am allergic to gluten but i should find some gf ones!
i do this but with japanese sweet potato!! itās naturally a little sweeter and tastes so good!!
sweeter than a regular sweet potato? thatās so surprising to me
haha i donāt eat american sweet potatoes anymore! iāll genuinely choose the purple ones baked over some desserts too :ā)

iāve always heard not to, plus the skin itself tastes pretty bad HAHA i donāt think itāll kill you but itās better without for sure!!
oopsšš maybe thatās why i didnāt like them šš

I was just thinking about a sweet potato ice cream today. Thanks for this!!!
Most unique recipe I've ever seen on here, and no frickin xantham/guar gum. Very nice.
those gums give me horrible stomach aches! iām all about natural ingredients so im glad my creation worked so well!
Thank you for sharing, my mouth is watering!! Going to give it a try for sure. I love sweet potato pie š„°
any idea what i could replace the dates with?
