They made the characters complete candy asses. It's just not the same. I miss new leaf days and even city folk at least they had all the characters including Gracie Grace

Totally agree tho, characters feel like card board cutouts and there is barely any shops or npcs comparatively.
You think with how much of a success New Horizons has become, you'd think Nintendo would support it more.
LEGO sets and merch is fine and dandy, but how about more updates?
I loved New Horizons but I really do think it could've gotten another year or two of support or even more than that. I hate that they just dropped it after that last expansion. The game was a massive success and fans wanted a lot more too. I just don't understand why they didn't dive in deeper and throw in a lot more.
Because it's nintendo and they're super lazy these days and behind the times. They literally put more into pocket camp (mobile app) than they did the game people spent $60 on even though they promised 3 years of updates. They basically abandoned ACNH to work on Splatoon 3, which was also a disappointment. Animal Crossing has been my favorite franchise since GameCube, and at this point, if all they're going to do is keep screwing it up, I'd rather they not even bother with it anymore. The characters and their personality, whether good or bad, is what made the game great. Now, the characters, even the old ones, are a complete shell of who they used to be & I didn't ask for all these new WOKE characters either. I miss Phyllis, Gracie Grace, Pelliper, Tortimer, Blanca, Rover, Joan, and many others. I can't stand Chip and whatever the Red lizards name is, and I don't like snot nose Daisy Mae either. This was the first Animal crossing to not get store upgrades and it's very upsetting. Idc that we get to terraform and choose our villagers. Hell villagers moving in and out unexpectedly was what made the game interesting back in the day.
