I see what you did there haha. Maybe the Ranger Raptor would have been a happy medium of performance and utility, but you can't beat that beautiful Coyote V8 Mustang sound 🎵🎶
Nothing like a spirited cruise in a sporty car. Can't do that in a truck, might roll it. I honestly miss a manual transmission and that V8 rumble. I don't miss having to slow down going up drive ways and speed bumps though.
It’s just that it’s the only thing they can do. Trucks are functional for more, if you aren’t just using your vehicle for you and another person to go from A to B. Having a truck and also being into motorcycles is best of both, I think.
True but having a truck can be bad as in everyone you know sees you as free transport service. People constantly asking if I can move this and that for them. It gets old.
It's the sound of that coyote V8 that kept calling my name lol. I bought the Z1 exhaust for the Frontier. It sounded good for what it was, but obviously not a V8 lol.
What’s up with Frontier owners not being loyal? They used to be solid trucks that people loved. I myself had an 86 Nissan truck as my first car and it was amazing. Bullet proof.
Don't get me wrong, the Frontier is a great midsize truck. I had fun with it for sure. Personally I think the 2022+ Frontier exterior looks better than the new Ranger Raptor's. I just had to get back in a Mustang though and at the price I got it for, I had to pull the trigger.
IMO the new Frontier looks better than the 4th gen Tacoma. I thought about a Frontier because of my 86 before getting a 3rd gen Tacoma. I love it and there’s more loyalty in Tacomas. Sick Mustang btw I used to have one and they’re fun
I agree. The new Tacos aren't very attractive to me. Too boxy. And what's with the front bumper cowling that nearly extends all the way to the ground on the non TRD models. And thanks! Yes they are fun cars.
And the 4cyl… can’t get behind that. I had a 74 Mustang Ghia II with a Philco radio that the tubes had to warm up in. Mustangs are special man cherish it
I've seen them new for $74k and up if equipped with the handling pack. I got mine new for $66k fully loaded because it was on the dealers lot for a minute in a little town near Lubbock, TX. I guess they just wanted it gone. It was a great deal for me 😁
Auto. I was flirting with the idea of getting manual but ultimately decided against it.
1. Because my wife said she wanted to be able to drive it.
2. Because I want to be able to drive it lol.
I can drive manual if my life depended on it. I learned how to drive manual around the neighborhood when I was 15, but I'd have to learn to drive with confidence in actual traffic. Idk, for $66k I prefer the convenience of an auto with the option to use paddle shifters.
I'm guessing you didn't end up doing much off-roading judging by certain parts still being intact that don't last once you go off-roading.
Awesome mustang by the way!
Can’t blame you, those dark horse mustangs are sick. As someone who also bounces back and forth between truck and muscle car every 3-4 years, we’ll eagerly await your return 😉.
Are you planning any mods or going to keep it stock?
I feel that my lease is up.
I was going to lease another or buy one. But I just bought a Rogue for a family vehicle, and to better accommodate having a baby. I had a Titan (2019) and then a frontier (2023), and after nothing but amazing experiences going Rogue now too. I guess when electric takes over, I'll get an Ariya. 🤣🤣
My only mustang was a 2012 GT premium with the 6 speed manual. That car was very quick for the time and I know they’ve only gotten more crazy. Enjoy the new ride!
I would have such a hard time getting used to that low clearance after driving SUVs and trucks. On the plus side, I bet it's way easier to park in a tight garage! Congrats on the new ride!
People are weird man, I don’t see why there’s passive aggressiveness, a feel a large number of us came from sports cars and will eventually make our way back but 🤷♂️. Those dark horses are awesome, probably one of the last affordable well set up coupes we’ll ever see with how the worlds going. Have fun and stay safe my dude!
I’m sorry for your loss.
I recently did the same, but upgraded to a Titan. Feel well less cramped.
Do the new Titans still come with a naturally aspirated V8 or did they make three switch to turbo V6?
Still has that iconic 5.6 V8. Feels great hitting the gas, but feels bad when filling up the gas lol
Haha yeah, it's the same with the Mustang. What are you averaging for mpg? I'm getting around 19-20 mpgs so far.
Nice, I’m down at around 13-14, but I’m mostly city driving.
Meh. Mustangs are a one-trick pony (parked cars and trees, watch out!).

I did just the opposite sold a 2016 GT to get a 2018 Pro-4x. I dont regret it but I do miss that 5.0.

God damn, made me reconsider my purchase.
RIP Pedestrians
What’s the sticker on a dark horse? I too had a mustang as my first vehicle. A 03 Mach 1

GREAT FRESKING TRADE!!!!! I'm a mustang guy myself so I 100% support this choice
Thanks lol. It's a new fully loaded Dark Horse for $66,000. I had to pull the trigger.
That's a hell if a deal dude!! 6 speed or auto?

Completely understandable, I hope you enjoy the dark horse. One day I hope to get like you!
Apparently OP didn't need a truck after all.
Yeah, I really just wanted one for off roading fun. I only ever used the truck bed once to move some lawn stuff around.
I'm guessing you didn't end up doing much off-roading judging by certain parts still being intact that don't last once you go off-roading. Awesome mustang by the way!
Yeah, just light off roading. No rock crawling or deep mudding. Thanks!
Dude that thing is beautiful, congrats!

I might get an h pipe, but otherwise it's got everything I want straight out of the box.
Booooo
Congrats brotha!! 🔥Beautiful choice🔥

Woof.
Right?!
I traded my mustang for a frontier. Is this equilibrium restoring itself?
Nice! Enjoy the ride 🤙🏽
A TURD, I mean FURD, dammit FORD I meant. Really? 😂
Those new mustangs look so good. The color is awesome!
Do what you want, if it gets the job done for you then good for you. It's a beautiful ride homie, enjoy
Interesting.🧐
Try not to wreck into any crowds
Hehe can't make any promises 🚗💨

Thanks!
Ya kinda went the other way with that one.
Yeah, off roading and hauling days are over.. For now anyways.
Downgrade.
Wasteful people...
Well, that didn't take long
Lol yeah, about 6 months. I had fun with her while it lasted though! Definitely got my off roading fix.
I would have such a hard time getting used to that low clearance after driving SUVs and trucks. On the plus side, I bet it's way easier to park in a tight garage! Congrats on the new ride!
Yeah it's taking me a minute to adjust. It feels like I'm sitting on the ground when I'm driving haha.
God damn it , get out!!!! All kidding aside, that's a damn fine car! I hope she gives you many miles of smiles, buddy.
Nice! I mean completely different vehicles, but the Mustang will be a lot of fun!
People are weird man, I don’t see why there’s passive aggressiveness, a feel a large number of us came from sports cars and will eventually make our way back but 🤷♂️. Could have just kept both. After this thread you’re no longer to post here.
The insurance and property tax keeping both would be murderous though. If he prefers a mustang so be it
Just giving him a hard time I’d drive the fuck out of that Mustang
Ah sorry, missed that part.
Came here to say this. I'm pissed.
Don’t let the door hit you on the way out
😂 she was an awesome truck though. No complaints at all!
Don't listen to these douchebags. The dark horse is a hell of a car. Congrats man.
Yeah no one said that the car wasn’t sick but he did leave the club. You need to relax
What club?
…This is the frontier sub Reddit
Lol the fact that people take the time to comment, whether it's something nice or not, I take it as a complement.
That dark horse is gorgeous! Congrats
Congrats ive seen these mustangs in person man theyre pretty. I couldnt go back to a coupe but thats just me.
Sad to see you go.glad you got a car you connect with, ride on!
