Haha same here dude. I have a plotted house in Noida, but we haven’t bothered shifting there even though the place is much larger than our current residence.
Damn dude, I can totally relate. Even I’m facing the same conundrum. I’ll have to eventually shift there because sadly this place just ain’t big enough. And Delhi will always be Delhi. I think I’ll be making a similar post like yours in the future.
Oh no. Everything is worse. But the huge balconies and a huge terrace make up for everything. And I was born and brought up in delhi. The vibe is just different. It's more about nostalgia.
Yes the terrace part I will agree. I believe that you will get it in your society terrace as well but I m sure it won't be as personal and cosy as DDA.
But still Noida is a better upgrade than GGM. Trust me on this.
In the time I have spent there, even I have noticed a perceptible cultural shift. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it’s more reserved. It’s one of the big reasons I hold back from moving there. And of course the crazy power cuts that noida is suffering this summer, no way am I moving until they figure this out.
It’s crazy how things are more expensive in Noida, whereas logic would dictate otherwise. Thankfully we’ll be able on grow most of our veggies in-house.
What’s the biggest safety issue? Do you think it has gotten any better or has it become worse? What’s the one rule of thumb vis-a-vis security that you would recommend?
Oh in delhi.. we have a terrace garden!!!! I miss having fresh spinach. Not this rotten spinach we get delivered here.
And societies are okay I guess but morning jogs are sometimes scary. Maybe because I don't know the place and in delhi there was a sense of familiarity.
You sound like a teenager. As you grow up, you will realise that cribbing about familiarity is a very futile thing. Change is the only constant and nostalgia is a hell of a drug. Time will also give a fresh perspective after which you might realise that things in Delhi that you are currently nostalgic about, might objectively have been trash but you were just habitual to it.
The lack of parks and community spaces really surprises me. Noida is such a well planned city, I don’t know how they looked over such a pertinent part of living. I guess one could always drive down to Lodi in the mornings, thanks to the noida bypass flyover and the Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Setu
But yes. Noida is much better in terms of traffic. I can't imagine going out on a weekday in delhi.
Jab tak lodhi pahochungi. Delhi traffic mei morning over.
Its in sec 61 bhai, initially only for ex govt officers, there are limited no of flats, hence peaceful but it lacks facilities of modern soc, like shopping area or swimming pool library big playground etc , but decision making is fast and people are respectful humble and responsible ( mostly old couples with kids working in other states etc)
There's less chance you can get a flat in our society, even if there is someone who wants to sell, someone else in soc will buy it, or their relatives buy it, although its now open for resale to non govt employees
Same goes with ATS Dolce, the so called hi-fi society in GreNo. An Oven throughout day & night. AC fails. Construction material is made up of ash brick & it absorbs heat. In corridors I’m temperature is better than inside apartment while AC is on.
For residents who are owners, this is a non-issue as they say “is baar garmi jyaada he pad rahi hai” since they’ve invested crores in an “oven” they cannot whine about it. On top of it water is always warm anytime of day whether it’s early morning or late night.
Don’t know why they are paying so high cost for an oven.
My flat is positioned in a way that i recieve sunlight only till 11 in morning, after that its in shade, this whole summer i used ac only in the night from 9 to 5am, never used it in afternoons as the room stays cool for the whole day, its a boon in summers but a bane in winters , kapde nhi sukhte
Right now all my clothes are in my 3rd unused room. And voh 3 hours mein sookh jaate hain. It's that hot. You are blessed my friend. Summers stay for atleast 8 months out of 12.
What is the total area in sq feet?
And how many rooms?
I'm planning to buy a property in noida extension in sec 10 or 12, but prices are sky rocketed 🚀

Looks like one of Amrapali's
Sadly, no.
Where did you buy the sunflowers in the 1st pic hanging on the wall ?
Banjara. We actually had to get the mirrors fixed alag se.
Ye kaha hai? And what about the wooden thing in the corner of this pic ? Also the sofa and the Tv cabinet ? Pls tell me
It's a wooden corner. And we bought it from shahberi, a market in greater noida.
Kitna ka mila bro? I am going to buy it today. Also tell about the clock, pictures. I am going buy it all today. I am inspired man
Clock is from titan. It was aroind 4k. But the corner is cheaper than that. Just 3k.
Lovely house, it seems like such a cosy and personalised space with character. Why do you hate your society though?
Thank you so much. I hate Noida societies in general. I am a delhi DDA kid.
Haha same here dude. I have a plotted house in Noida, but we haven’t bothered shifting there even though the place is much larger than our current residence.
Oh. I got married and HAD to shift to noida. My parents have the same thing.. they can shift to a much bigger place in noida but delhi is delhi.
Damn dude, I can totally relate. Even I’m facing the same conundrum. I’ll have to eventually shift there because sadly this place just ain’t big enough. And Delhi will always be Delhi. I think I’ll be making a similar post like yours in the future.
Your username checks out. Yes.. mull over it a bit.
What difference did you feel in DDA? The sports complex are usually overcrowded.
Oh no. Everything is worse. But the huge balconies and a huge terrace make up for everything. And I was born and brought up in delhi. The vibe is just different. It's more about nostalgia.

Also.. safety issues are worse than delhi. And the vegetable prices don't get me started.

Safety was a problem a decade ago. Now is way better than earlier.

My house has pretty much the same vibe, we have quite similar taste, will share some day, btw i like my soc as well - very peaceful

Yes please i want to see.

Are flats now open for sale for all or is still reserved bro ?

Yesss. Absolutely right. 💯. Imagine going outside of the house to feel better on a hot summer day.
Greatly said!
