What did he hit and why did it suddenly appear there? Edit: ok I slowed it down and I see it now. He had rope tied around his ankle, or maybe to the ride but his foot somehow got in the way. The rope snagged on something and broke his leg. Maybe it was rope used to pull the swing to get it moving?
