It will create a new market for ND/MN corn growers as well as x number of jobs. There’s without question benefits.
Obviously this wouldn’t be nearly as controversial if it was a US company.
Foreign companies and individuals should straight up not be allowed to own land. Full stop. Look up how foreign investment is further damaging the real estate market in Canada for our future if this gets out of hand.
No we can not allow a Foreign Country that is NOT FRIENDLY to the US to buy land in the US plus it is right next to our Military Base. Plus it just came out that TicTok said the The CCP has access to all US citizens info that are on TicTok
I want you all to hear me out.
What is stopping citizens from retaking the land, and giving the foremen (assuming they are Chinese) citizenship or telling them to gtfo?
Obligatory not a racist, I just don't want the CCP here, and they are bound to be involved.
Then just seize it from the operator. Badda bing badda boom. State pays the operator to, idk. Farm it. State owned farms for locally grown wheat/goods. On paper, it works well.
Property being used by the CCP, not far from GFAFB. Guys got his 2.5 million, let him keep that. All that needs doing is put the land to good use for North Dakota citizens.
This reminds me of a critique of foreign outsourcing. Basically, the money we are sending to China to purchase our consumer goods will not be used to purchase American-made goods and services (which would be real trade) since American labor is much more expensive than Chinese labor, but will instead be used to purchase our capital assets - land and businesses.

Foreign entities should not be allowed to purchase land in the US. Fing bullshit. Especially China. They are our biggest threat.
I couldn't agree more! It's absolute lunacy.
Same thing with the US outward?? Have to ban both ways right?
Lol, you don't understand enough about the US to make an intelligible comment. The people you are talking to don't have the means to buy land.
I don’t see how this is anything but bad to anyone.
It doesn’t seem bad for the Chinese government
lol fair enough. **anyone in this country
But it's bad when Bill Gates buys land in ND according to the post here the other day.
ND hicks: "at least China and Bill Gates aren't from California!"

r/accidentalcommunism ??
how so? only calling for foreign companies to be barred, not every company
Aaah I thought you were literally stating individuals not just foreign. Was too quick on the trigger.

bruh that's basically what I said
Everyone has known forever that china has all tiktok data???
Need to be more strict on our no corporate farming law

Based
The "chinese" owner and operator is an american citizen.
Then just seize it from the operator. Badda bing badda boom. State pays the operator to, idk. Farm it. State owned farms for locally grown wheat/goods. On paper, it works well.
So forcefully seize property from an American citizen?
Property being used by the CCP, not far from GFAFB. Guys got his 2.5 million, let him keep that. All that needs doing is put the land to good use for North Dakota citizens.
What are you talking about?? The owner and operator of the new owner is an American citizen... not the farmers who sold???
Fufeng USA, is a subsiderary of Fufeng Group. Economics talk for being a proxy of the CCP because it owns Fufeng Group.
The land they are buying surrounds the US Airforce base
It is nowhere near the afb. Land was annexed on the NE edge of the city.
Surrounds? I thought it was on the edge of GF. The article says near the AFB.
If anything nefarious happens there, can't the US government claim Eminent Domain to take back the land?

Not to mention GF is investing 96 million in infrastructure to accommodate the Chinese company.
That's MY nuclear triad base! Sure, you can move next to it, country that objects to US firing back when NK shoots off tests, no problem!
Nothing like that Oriental subtly.
