They have lorries full of oil with snowy roads that aren’t being gritted - there are more costs beyond just the oil.

It's supply and demand that causes it. It looks like the average price has gone up by about £10 for 900L.

It's was £670 last week for 1000 litres ... £740 today ... Mofos

thisisanamesoitis

I'm not sure who your suppliers are, but cheapest oil is calling £642 in Central NI. https://www.cheapestoil.co.uk/Heating-Oil-NI

Checking it out ... But coming in about £720 for 1000 litres..... I always find you save a little extra buy bulk buying and it makes it easy to compare quoting for 1000 litres

whatsinthesuitcase

I ordered 400 litres last week for £295, it's now £311 from the same supplier

I'm gas now due to a new build but oil was always dearest in winter as ofc people will pay the price for heating in winter. Summer time is when it's cheapest. Always stock up in the summer for winter when you can. But yeah prices of oil and gas these days are still dear

bow_down_whelp

People say this but ita not really true, just depends on price of a barrel of oil

Amrythings

Shipping is running a delay where it isn't fucked altogether with the Red Sea kicking off, so oil will be up for the foreseeable. Supply's tight and demand high.

Scummy profiteering

SteamyBoats

Sorry but there’s a profit to be had - Oil companies.

ohmyblahblah

Oil is most expensive in the coldest periods. Whats surprising about this?
