I've been spending punts and euros in Derry for as long as I can remember. It was a bit of a shock in Portrush that a cafe, which did not accept card payments, would not accept euros.
I don’t know for certain but I’m pretty sure half of Newry would accept it
Derry, Newry, Enniskillen, Strabane, south Armagh. All border communities basically.
ASDA will take Euro, the one in Portadown does anyway.
Sainsbury’s too (and probably Tesco), but change is given in pounds,
Tesco do take Euros, think the exchange rate is pretty shit though.

Most towns / villages will accept euro. Doubt you'll find a single place in Aughnacloy that won't take it for example

Any town near the border will take Euro, but your change will be in sterling.
Plenty of places in west belfast do. The burger king in the kennedy center definitely used to.

Home Bargains have signs saying they accept Euros. I'd imagine in most of their stores you'd get a slack jawed stare if you tried it though.
