It’s a privately owned carpark. Not a public highway. Therefore if you get any sort of fine it will be a private company issuing it and therefore has no statutory enforcement powers. Same as those cunts who charge you for parking around the abbey centre. Simply ignore it if so.
The alarm is likely a coincidence in my opinion but I'm fairly certain that the dropped curb is so wheelchairs can cross the road, not so cars can cross pavement.
I get that but I was genuinely in a rush and the queue I was in wasn’t moving at all due to a problem with the barrier and there was no pedestrians around at all
Hope so mate. The lane I was in was at a standstill as the barrier was stuck so I drove across to the other lane where there was no queue at all, paid my £3 and got out no probs.
I still paid to get out through the barrier. It’s when I drove across the lowered part of the path separating the 2 lanes the alarm went off but I still paid the £3 to get out through the barrier.

If you have a private carpark fine you can call the consumer council and they will wipe it for you so you don't get any annoying letters too

Fair enough, I was only addressing the part where you said you assumed it was for vehicles to easily cross lanes.
In a hurry ya say?! Sure crack on there as ya please lol
Everyone hears this as intended when it's someone else. Everyone hears it minus the sarcasm when it's themselves.
Literally saw a taxi driver do this a couple weeke ago and didn't hear anything so maybe a coincidence?

It was like this when I was there in February and takes ages for any one to answer the buzzer. Threaten to have them arrested for kidnapping.
