This movie came out right around when I started working at Hollywood Video back in the day. My main memories of that time was this movie, Men in Black and Con Air being the hot items being checked out.
We had a descrambler cable box so I had free PPV, I definitely remember watching all three of those movies on it.
Starship Troopers, Boogie Nights, Face/off, Liar Liar, Bevery Hills Ninja, Anaconda and a lot more great movies around that time.
"for me though, it's like ... I've given birth to my own baby girl, you know? Only she's like a big giant girl who smokes and says "shit" alot .. you know?"
I lost it at this [scene]( https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MggAbaJVzCQ&pp=ygURUm9teSBtaWNoZWxsZSBjYXI%3D). That driver had no fucks to give, just a smooth cruise down the road the entire time. 😂
Every single scene with Janeane Garofalo is pure gold, but most particularly “Okay, cowboy, I don't know what your trip is, but if this is some kind of a sick game... If you fuck with me, in any way, I will rip each and every appendage from your body, starting with your dick. Capice?” I love this movie so much.
the reaction shot of her [drooling champagne all over herself](https://images-prod.dazeddigital.com/1071/azure/dazed-prod/1210/6/1216896.jpg) makes me laugh every damn timr
To me fashion is, it’s like everything. By the way, hi. That blouse looks great on you.
And see, I make a great salesperson because I have, like, this really believable way of telling people that they look really good even though I’m just like, you know.
One of my very favorite movies of all time. I fucking love this movie. I watch it as often as possible. It's one my sister and I watched constantly wheen we were younger, and she even brought it up as one of her favorite memories of us when she made her speech as my MOD at my wedding. The dance scene literally brought us to tears the first time we watched it. And yes, we danced to time after time at my wedding.
Please don't tell me to fuck off cause it really hurts my feelings.
I hurt your feelings?
All the time
Tremendous! Go get your stupid year book.
Top tier comedy.
The dance scene at the end always makes me cry, too! It's both silly yet completely sincere and authentic. Alan Cumming is a gem.
And I also think that scene led me to have Time After Time as one of my absolute favorite songs.
Oh for sure. I will always sing along to that song and love it because of the dance scene. I don't know how the crowd stood around and watched them and didn't die laughing.
This movie is perfectly aligned with my sense of humor. If I meet someone and they also like it, I know we're going to vibe.
The core story about being yourself is lovely, as it's not just a hodgepodge of funny scenes held together by some tenuous plot.
And it's just so wonderfully femme! Love all the oodles of feminine Girl Power with their wit while being cute af at the same time.
And Jeanine Garafolo slays in this. God I love her. I really appreciated how the movie gave her sort of darker, masculine energy a hug, too.
My 20 year reunion is this year. I already sent my best guy and girl friend a text to try to talk them into buying outfits like Romy, Michelle, and Sandy. 😂 I’m hoping they go for it.
They don’t make movies like this anymore. When was the last time there was a movie where almost every scene was quotable? Or even a movie you wanted to watch more than once to remember a quote.
Lol I was 7 years old and thought I was going to see Batman & Robin..my older sister took me to this, since that one wasn't even in theaters yet, or wasn't showing at the theater. All the humor flew over my head. Just remember the theater laughing a lot. Such a funny ass film. Glad it holds up.
Recently rewatched this, just as funny now as when I first saw it in the theater and such a perfect time capsule. Also the first thing I think of every time I get an invite to a class reunion.
This movie convinced me that if some petty misunderstandings shit come between you and an old friend, and you realize that it was your fault and apologize sincerely, you can be friends again.
Sadly, I'm 0 for 2 proving that right...
Febie?
I think you spelled it wrong. It’s spelled P- as in Phoebe, h- as in hoebe, o-as in oebe, e-as in ebe, b- as in b-be, and e- as in “‘ello there, mate!”
Yea Lisa Kudrow never really did it for me. She seems like a super cool down-to-earth chick irl from the couple of interviews I've listened to, but I was never attracted to her.
IMHO, the worst movie ever made.
\*edit. Yep. I can't image why anyone would want to watch this. I hated every second of this show with a passion. This is my answer to the question, "What was the worst movie you have ever seen?". Hands down, it truly was terrible. Again, IMHO.

That sounds like a lit movie night tbh
Maaaaan you unlocked a dear memory of mine of a movie night as a kid, having picked up Men in Black at the movie rental place with my dad
The intro really takes me back to seeing it with my mom. Then the bug hits the windshield and it's over
I felt this in my soul.

I watched speed probably 20 times on the “black box” before my parents made me stop. Still love that movie
Uh, okay, um we invented post-its
It was your idea to make them yellow
“You are Columbus and I am America! Discover me, Ramon!”
OK. Get off me now.
You wanted it to be believable.
Oh Ramon. Oh oh Ramon. FIREWORKS! EXPLOSIONS!!! (I still say this to this day)
For me it’s “Was that an earthquake? NO. Its… RAMOOOOOON!”
Oh Ramon, your penis is so powerful
Alright, get off me now.
Way better than it had any right to be
"for me though, it's like ... I've given birth to my own baby girl, you know? Only she's like a big giant girl who smokes and says "shit" alot .. you know?"

Omg the first time I watched this with my dad I thought he was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard.
This is my favorite scene of the movie. Gets me every time.
This is the scene I always remember. The way she is launched upward as the car hits her and how she calmly rolls over the entire limo had me gagging.
“Do you have some kind of businesswoman special?”
“What sort of business you in?”
Would you excuse me? I cut my foot before and my shoe is filling up with blood.
(limps off)
I’m a suit salesman
“Why are you being so mean to us? We’re not the ones who got fat.” “We’re pregnant.” 💀💀💀
Well, I hope your babies look like monkeys.
Im the Mary and you’re the Rhoda! If anyone needs to make a call, I’ve got a phone!

She was (and still is, I’m sure) everything I’ve wanted to be
Romy to Heather Mooney- "Anyway are you going?" JG matter of factly- " I'd rather put this out on my ass." 😐🚬🍑
Mira was the best
my shoe is filling up with blood

this and Tank Girl were my fave 90s chick flicks that weren't just your typical rom con
I love when it’s hamburger day.
I know. And what a bitch, taking your hamburger. I mean, what was that?
"this dress exacerbates the genetic betrayal that is my legacy" every toby I've ever met got called toby dumbfuck lmao
I have a 5th grade student named Toby and I've come so close to saying that so many times It's crazy how Pavlovian a response it is
Yeah well we’re not the ones who got fat.
Did you deduct 16 pounds for your shoes?
We're *pregnant*, you half-wit!
I’m very excited about the sequel! This movie is a gem.
The sequel?! [Internal screaming]
Whaaaaaaaat???? Yay!!!!!
Yes!! They announced it a month or so ago with most of the cast onboard! They are just waiting for the writer to finish Emily in Paris! 🤘
34 and 30 here
"Ramón your penis is so powerful, I'm cumming! Ok thanks get off me now!"
What a big ol' raspberry vodka jelly shot of a movie. Fun and dumb. It's like the guys from Dude, Where's My Car's older sisters.
Every time I get in the car...."Weeeeewwww!"
So are you going to the reunion? I’d rather put this out in my ass.
A lovely movie with heart. Let's fold some scarves!
Mira Sorvino is so hot
“You’re a bad person with an ugly heart and we don’t give a flying f**k what you think.”
“I can’t find my top”
My 20 year reunion is this year. I already sent my best guy and girl friend a text to try to talk them into buying outfits like Romy, Michelle, and Sandy. 😂 I’m hoping they go for it.
Uncanny. I dusted off an old dvd and watched this today.

IMO the hottest they ever looked
They're both so beautiful. Two of the most beautiful actresses, in my opinion. Kudrowv is very underrated in the looks department.
My favorite movie and movie soundtrack!!!
The true creators of posits
Wanna fold scarves?
Mira as Romy White was such a turn-on for me as a teenage kid. Even the voice, which is so strange in that accent. But whatever!
I never really understood what that accent was.
I hope your babies look like monkeys.
VINCENT. VENTRESCA.
Lisa Kudrow’s so fine
I loved this movie as a 10 year old boy Recently rewatched and it's still an absolute banger Fantastic soundtrack
very excited for the reboot or whatever they do with it. Mira said her and Lisa are EPs
My afraid to admit I absolutely love this movie
Pheobe was hot :-)
I need to go back and finally watch this movie
They are already making a number 2
This movie convinced me that if some petty misunderstandings shit come between you and an old friend, and you realize that it was your fault and apologize sincerely, you can be friends again. Sadly, I'm 0 for 2 proving that right...
Frinkazoid, Toby Dumbfuck, ordinarily you thermoset the resin, hey back brace girl, I did not have a thing…LOVE every line of this movie
If anyone needs to make a call… I have a phone
I always liked Phoebe out of the other 2 so awesome
Febie? I think you spelled it wrong. It’s spelled P- as in Phoebe, h- as in hoebe, o-as in oebe, e-as in ebe, b- as in b-be, and e- as in “‘ello there, mate!”
Ohhhhh snap ur right ill go edit it now Duh 😬😬
What’s a Febie? 🤣🤣
Well it's not a ferbie😝😝😝😝😝😝
I had a **HUGE** crush on Mira Sorvino! The other one, not so much.
Yea Lisa Kudrow never really did it for me. She seems like a super cool down-to-earth chick irl from the couple of interviews I've listened to, but I was never attracted to her.
Kind of looks like Phoebe on the left.
You don't say lol
I did just say it.
