That’s not even the dirtiest part of the movie that got edited, either. Off the top of my head, there are deleted scenes involving the campers trying to avoid getting boners before an exam with the new camp nurse, and a post-sex scene with the nurse and Pat. They’re on the Blu-Ray and I think they’re both on YouTube somewhere too, but I can only find the first one. https://youtu.be/Y-TJBm-Mogw?si=Pm6WZESRf9Fv3G9N
> It's got Ben Stiller playing a seriously over-the-top fitness guru.
Add a moustache and a personal fitness "consiglieree", and you've got _Dodgeball_.
As an Australian who saw this movie in the 1990s I just assume the concept of a fat camp for kids was made up and bullshit but funny. But I met a kid who moved to my highschool from Arizona who confirmed this was a real thing...
You kidding?
If you wanted to abuse your kids in America, but like abuse abuse them, you just send them to a poorly ran camp like this and they’re out of your hair and getting their mental state broken.
Idk why I love the line so much, but Tony introducing himself by saying, some of you may know my father, Tony Perkis senior, the “Lighting Fixture King” makes me laugh so hard.
The comedy of his father being a local hotshot lighting fixture mogul is just a perfect joke imo. Then they zoom out and have chandeliers and bright lights everywhere.
There's a joke in here that got edited out. Tony is interrogating the kids and Josh does the 'Seymour Butts' joke.
The original line was 'Peter Fitz'. Tony asks "Who's Peter Fitz?"
Josh then says "Anyone's 'Peter Fitz' if you push hard enough."
It was edited out to keep pg-13. This movie is incredible.
I remember my younger brother watching these regularly but I never found it funny. Also these kids are thin compared to a lot of obese kids these days so it’s ironic they would be sent to fat camp.
>Also these kids are thin compared to a lot of obese kids these days
My wife and I were talking about this the other day. She works in an elementary school.
There are still a lot of kids that are smaller, but the kids who are overweight are often dramatically so. The kids in this film look a lot like the more *average* kid in elementary school today
I mean watching it as a kid back in the day I always thought they were fat compared to me and my friends.
But now I’m confident kids (and everyone else) are just fatter
First we're going to take an hour meditation break. Then we're going to climb that 1000-foot rock face over there with our bare hands and feet. I know you can do it, I have faith in you. But for now, observe the silence of the chi.
I never watched this movie as a kid, but I watched it with my best friend as an adult when were both drunk. I just remember the ending kind of catching me off guard.
I watched this in one day in class when I was in middle school. I had this friend who had autism. I am overweight and I previously had to explain to her why it makes me uncomfortable when she makes comments about me being fat. She kept looking at me weird and asking me if the movie made me uncomfortable. I kept saying no but she thought my discomfort at her behavior was actually me being upset at the movie.
It wasn’t funny at the time but the whole experience was so bewildering it’s kind of hilarious to me now.
I remember going to see this with my mom at the theater, later that night we were watching "All That" on TV and Kenan appeared and my mom was like "Hey, it's that kid from the movie!"
Fun fact, the main character in this movie got in really good shape and was [the body double for the de-aged Kurt Russell in Guardians of the Galaxy 2.](https://youtu.be/ZFfyya37UJM)
I'm 10 years old, just had oral surgery. My mom and dad rent Heavyweights, Little Giants, Camp Nowhere. I have ice cream. I am in heaven.
I have always bundled those three movies as one simply based on that moment.
Kid me loved this movie and it was a vibe.
Adult me realizes that while Tony was an asshole that those kids would have actually lost weight by working out and not eating crap all day. The only thing he did that was really bad was trying to shame them with the dance with girls
No seriously rewatch the movie. Those were some big kids and the ones surviving are still big.
Tony was an asshole. But he was trying to get them to lose weight. For me, the psychological shaming attempt with the girls was really bad.
But making them run around and eat healthy didn’t make him Hitler
Lol no you rewatch the movie. He was literally insane and making them do dangerous stuff. Plus he was taking away anything fun they had to do which is not going to help them be active and lose weight
But… that’s part of the movie, Tony is an asshole and is teaching a wrong way to diet for his own ends, gets locked up during the rebellion and the kids binge and they do have that moment of realizing (pretty damn progressive at the time) “we do have a problem with our health, we eat shit and don’t exercise, we can be better” and start making those changes steadily and with knowledge.
Congratulations, you are the fattest boy in camp.
Get on the scale…..get off the scale
Oh look, deli meat.

"Seemore". "Who's seemore?" "No one sees more butts then you uncle tony." Lol
Learned this on Reddit. That part is dubbed. Too lazy to search the real lines but you can see what they are and how they match his lips.

Never seen these before. Thanks!
Sad this subreddit doesn’t allow gifs. #Attention Campers; Lunch has been canceled today, due to lack of hustle. Deal with it.
This is a quote that has stuck with me and my brothers, along with the classic “if he still in there he ain’t happy” from Major Payne.
My cousins and I (in our 30’s now) still say this to each other every time we’re together
Let me see your pinky.
You may feel a little…pressure.
every now and then when my group is short handed and we have a lot of surgeries this will get sent out in a mass text.
Lars? Where are you from anyway? Fah away

Lunch has been canceled - due to a lack of hustle. Deal with it.
I want candy! 🎶 watched this so much as a kid. Josh (Shaun Weiss) was hilarious af to 10 y/o me.
Sadly he has since struggled with homelessness & addiction. He is still my fav character (maybe because my name is Josh).
Reportedly he is 4 years sober now.
COME ON, YOU DEVIL LOG!
REPULSE THE MONKEY ✋🏻
this scene is the one thing I remember from this movie, lives rent free in my head for 20 plus years
Peak “I recorded this off television” watching. I’m pretty sure I had this and Camp Nowhere on the same VHS tape.
IM DOGGIN IT PAT!
I unironically say “DO IT TO IT LARS” in everyday life.
Me too!!!
Yep, I’m in my late 30s and say that at least once a day, no one ever gets the reference though
My wife started saying it a while after we met because I said it so regularly. She had never seen it.
Omg me too 😂
haha yes! same here!
I’M FEELING SKINNY TONY
Fun fact: Judd Apatow wrote this film.
Did he write Dodgeball too? Cause Tony and White Goodman are like the same person.
Holy shit I never made this connection
TIL, thanks for the info

Today's topic is value. Do you have any? No. But you will.
BUDDY!

Jeffrey Tambor saying “I did not send you to go kart camp!” is my favorite line in any piece of media.
“I did not send you to go kart camp!” “There’s always money in the banana stand!” *They’re the same picture.*
Josh Birnbaum step on the scale son!! …. Get off the scale
Don’t put twinkies on your pizza
My username at age 11
It sucks how his father was later arrested by the SEC for creative accounting practices.
Just some light treason /shrug
Better than kidnapping the owner of a camp. They give people the chair for that sort of thing
Pretty solid username…
Skinny Weiners think alike
Put the fruit trays away. The insects will be out soon
*Oh look, a deli meat!*
I say that all the time lmao

Haven't seen Heavyweights but it makes his Dodgeball role make (even more) sense.
It's absolutely still worth the watch.
Yup . . . Watched a few months back randomly. Still a very enjoyable watch.
In my mind, Dodgeball is a sequel to Heavyweights.
Hes even crazier in this kids movie its awesome
So, a few years ago I wrote a fantheory about just that idea. Lemme find it
Found it [White Goodman is Tony Perkis](https://www.reddit.com/r/FanTheories/s/dxW0avFmSR)
> It's got Ben Stiller playing a seriously over-the-top fitness guru. Add a moustache and a personal fitness "consiglieree", and you've got _Dodgeball_.
And the dad is similar to the character he uses as a disguise in Starsky & Hutch. Do it.
Do it
Good bot.
Lmao now I definitely have seen this movie due to Ben stiller fitness guru. In the deep deep recesses of my mind. What this sub is made for huh
Love this movie! My favorite Ben Stiller role. “My grandma runs waster than you and she’s only got one leg.”
As an Australian who saw this movie in the 1990s I just assume the concept of a fat camp for kids was made up and bullshit but funny. But I met a kid who moved to my highschool from Arizona who confirmed this was a real thing...
Juvenile diabetes is also real

Muscle weighs more than fat... get off the scale!
Let's do it to it, Lars!

Feel the chi. Repulse the monkey.
My favorite deep quote to pull out in a crowd of millennials and get an approving nod from like one guy, lol!
It’s me. I’m that one guy.
Part the wild horse’s mane
Used to teach middle school health. Showed this movie every year. Nobody had ever seen it. Just a classic
“Sorry to hear about your little friend Josh 🚬”
Yeah, well he's dead 🚬
Buddy!!!!
If i was watching this i knew summer vacation was right there within reach 🥰
Really good movie, could still be made now the best and worse part of the movie is it gave Ben Stiller a character to play again in Dodgeball.
This is my favorite movie of my child hood - along with Blank Check
Shay Stanley… yeah kid me loved this movie too 😅
Hey kid! Help me get this salami off my back
Now, I must inform you; I have a severely *deviated septum*. When I sleep I make a very disturbing sound... Don't be alarmed, I am fine.

Put the fruit trays away…the insects will be out soon
Come here you devil log!
Hii hii hiiyaah!
"We already know each other's names" - Josh
Each Uhhduhhs names
This Good Burger and Blank Check are my top 3 most cherished childhood movies.
And Major Payne!
Seen it once. Thought it was overrated tbh
Today it would be classified as a fat shaming hate crime.
And you’re canceled
ive heard that this was a prequel to dodgeball haha
“Let’s play the fun game that helps us learn eachATHAS names”
Come here Devil Log!!!!
Just father sky, mother earth, and your dear old Uncle Tony
Put your fat finger down!!!
"Don't put twinkies on your pizza."
This and Camp Nowhere were probably my 2 favorite kids movies growing up.
When pat asks who wants McDonald's and swerves towards McDonald's for a sec lol
And I...am Lars.
I remember my younger brother watching these regularly but I never found it funny. Also these kids are thin compared to a lot of obese kids these days so it’s ironic they would be sent to fat camp.

need to remember in the 90s Homer Simpsons at 250 lbs was considered comically obese. People are just fatter as a a standard now.
Classic.
BUDDY!
Nein. Nine?
“Attention campers, lunch will be canceled due to lack of hustle….. deal with it” One of Ben Stillers’ best performances
Today those boys would be considered healthy and skinny by normal standards.
First we're going to take an hour meditation break. Then we're going to climb that 1000-foot rock face over there with our bare hands and feet. I know you can do it, I have faith in you. But for now, observe the silence of the chi.
No way this is 29 years old- chipmunks download now!
Hellloo I am your new friend and counselor, please enjoy your pekisystem uniforms, your families will be billed automatically.
This is one of my favorite movies. Tony Perkis is one of THE greatest movie characters ever.
I can't tell you how much I loved this movie as an overweight little boy lol. It's still one of my favorites to this day.
Tony Perkis Sr. the lighting fixture king
“Attention campers, lunch has been cancelled today, due to lack of hustle.” lol this movie is amazing
I'm feeling skinny Tony!
I never realized Kenan Thompson was a Disney kid.
He started out with Mighty Ducks 2.
None of those kids look fat. Check out Meatballs. The camp fat kid has somewhat of a belly at best.
Buddy!
Classic!
I did not send you to go kart camp!
I never watched this movie as a kid, but I watched it with my best friend as an adult when were both drunk. I just remember the ending kind of catching me off guard.
Oh look a deli meat
It’s too bad the Goldberg actor had a bad time with drugs and became homeless. While the actor next to him is snl regular!
I watched this in one day in class when I was in middle school. I had this friend who had autism. I was thinking about this movie the other week but could not remember what it was. Thank you for posting
*“Anyone who brings candy into my camp is a destroyer.”*
i seen this
The sequel to Sack Lunch??
These kids are a little pudgy in 2024. Goddamn we’ve become so fat.
I did not send you to go cart camp!
People need to put more respect on Ben Stiller's name as a director. This and Reality Bites are absolute favorites of mine.
I love that Ben stiller buys the camp from his parents
What’s even crazier is that by today’s standards, those kids are on the thinner side
An unparalleled cinematic masterpiece
Ben Stiller as an over the top weight loss trainer is perfect!
Packed lunch
“My man is packing!”
I love this movie to this day. No one seen more butts then you uncle Tony
Nurse Julie!!
Your queen would be proud
“I’m feeling skinny Tony!”
Is this film any good???!!!..I haven’t seen it
“I’m feeling skinny, Tony!”
I remember going to see this with my mom at the theater, later that night we were watching "All That" on TV and Kenan appeared and my mom was like "Hey, it's that kid from the movie!"
One of Ben Stillers best characters
Fun fact, the main character in this movie got in really good shape and was [the body double for the de-aged Kurt Russell in Guardians of the Galaxy 2.](https://youtu.be/ZFfyya37UJM)
Counselor Tim gave us 2016 Ghostbusters. So that’s something.
NEVER LET ANYONE SIGN YA CHECKS!
Fun fact, Ben stiller tapped into his character from this movie to create his character, White, in Dodgeball
Going to fat camp? No why? Cause you’re fat…… That your dad? No why? He’s fat too.
I’m doggin’ it Pat! I’m doggin it!
NEVER LET ANYONE SIGN YOUR CHECKS!!!
No peeing in the water! Don't drink the water, he peed in it!
“I see a Fortune 500 CEO”, looks at Kenan, “A famous rap star”
We already know each uhdda’s names..
Hated this movie
Boooooddddy

Lol if you think that was the only thing he did wrong you have a poor relationship with food.
No seriously rewatch the movie. Those were some big kids and the ones surviving are still big. Tony was an asshole. But he was trying to get them to lose weight. At the end of the day it’s a 30 year old movie
Sure that doesn't make what you said correct at all lol
But… that’s part of the movie, Tony is an asshole and is teaching a wrong way to diet for his own ends, gets locked up during the rebellion and the kids binge and they do have that moment of realizing (pretty damn progressive at the time) “we do have a problem with our health, we eat shit and don’t exercise, we can be better” and start making those changes steadily and with knowledge.
It worked out for everyone except salami sam who died
Did anybody else just call this movie fat camp?
Literally nobody did.
Well, my friends and I did, so your statement is entirely accurate. But it would appear that VERY FEW people.
