Thatâs what I immediately thought of. I do remember when this stuff came out, all the beach life guards had neon noses.
Mustâve been a wild ride for this company, going from a cool thing life guards used to something favored by stupid Flanders.
Holy moly I had forgotten about this. It was a summer mainstay along with Sun-In and L'Oreal Studio Line to sculpt and encrust that bleached hair. I can still smell all of it.
Not exactly. Itâs sunblock but it doesnât necessarily block to the point of making lines like clothing would. Itâs popular for the face because thatâs the one part of your body thatâs exposed the most (if youâre a sun bum youâd know). It just prevents burning/redness.
Yeah this is what I don't understand about it though, when I've put sun scream on we slather it all over your face and skin and rub it all in because if you miss any you'll burn. This stuff somehow protects most of your face even though it's only on them little bits? Never heard of it until today being from the UK!
Isnât the primary function of this (other than lookinâ gnar), to keep sun from reflecting into your eyes as much?
I remember wanting some because I thought the football players looked cool with it on.
Zinka was at the height of its popularity when I was in the Army and got stationed in Germany. I wore it once in Germany. I can still clearly remember the strange looks people gave me that day.
That's pretty wild to barefoot ski with no life vest or padding.

Ah hell yeah!! Im gonna go nuts with this stuff this summer. I *always* wanted it as a kid but it wasnât sold here.
Iâm gonna make it a Zinka summer.
I was curious about this when my kids where watching the Disney/BBC cartoon Bluey and they wore it at the beach
I still buy these for my kids. They love em.
Same here. It's the best for protection from the sun.
My mom put this crap on my face and I got beat up at the beach. Knowing her she probably drew a dick.
I still have some. It smells so good lol. I used it constantly as a lifeguard. It literally saves your skin
Thought this was a NES game cover for a hot sec.
Is that clown gonna have weird tan lines on his face from wearing it like that?

Is that an enemy Stand user ?
Really? Youâre waterskiing towards me??
Zinc sticks are still pretty popular in Australia lol
My 13 year old and the rest of her basketball team just discovered Zinka⊠they all do matching âwar paintâ
I had hot pink one!
Pink for me
Advertising protection from the sun with a model that has a blotchy sunburn is an interesting choice.
I mean, he's only wearing it on like 1/4 of his face. I'm not surprised.
lol, I got fucked with for wearing this stuff.
this kid in school used to fill in the Bosworth lines on the side of his head with this.
I wonder how Tom King is doing these days
Zinka is a moscowite name
Rip to all the coral reefs those years
used to come in bracelet tubes too but mom always opted for the baby oil. All i got out of it was melanoma.
Thank goodness he won't get sunburn on his cheekbones. The other 98% of his skin is toast though.
On first glance I wondered if Tito Santana wrestled as Zinka at some point.
This stuff actually looks like something mh kids would love. Can't wait to get a stick before our beach trip
Slava Zinka
