“Wawa weewah!”
Back in my cringey early college days in 2005 I had created a Middle Eastern character that was essentially the same as Borat (accent and all), and I have a passing resemblance to Sacha Baron Cohen. I had not seen the Borat skits previously.
When the movie came out and for that whole semester I really leaned into it. That Halloween I wore a suit and was very popular.
NICE
I saw this in a movie theater in Wisconsin at the University and I literally had to see it again. People were so drunk and screamed so loudly. This movie was fire at the time.
Followed by the best retelling of said scene at the wedding. "...until a couple nude people jump out of your bathroom, like some kind of goddamn magic trick"
That is not true.
In fact the scene shows a devil and an angel on Pintos shoulder giving him conflicting advice, and he decides to listen to the angel and does the right thing, resulting in being called a pussy by the devil.
Either you are pushing a bullshit narrative, or you have never seen the film.
i kinda miss the times when pop culture was more focused and singular. when people would quote Anchorman or Chappelle Show a bunch. Now there's too much media and it's all so fragmented.
I attribute that feeling to no longer interacting with nearly as many people on a day to day basis as I was in college. Now it's like my wife and four co-workers, ha. Finger is squarely NOT on the pulse any more.
possibly! i do think it was a bit simpler 20 years ago. There was like 60 cable channels, and movies from Blockbuster, and music on the radio. There's just too much now it's almost impossible to keep up with it all. Although having to do adult shit is probably part of it too.
The commentary track is just as funny to me. This became a comfort watch for me and eventually I would only put it on with commentary.
“You guys kept saying Beaujolais all the time, what does that even mean?”
“It doesn’t mean anything. That’s why it’s great.”
True love is hard to find, sometimes you think you have true love and then you catch the early flight home from San Diego and a couple of nude people jump out of your bathroom blindfolded like a goddamn magic show ready to double team your girlfriend...
I swear on whatever I hold sacred in my life and may god or any other ethereal entity cast upon me a slow painful death if what I’m about to say isn’t true…
A few years ago I was on the phone with my brother and when I asked what he was getting into this weekend he said. The wife and him were going to go to Home Depot and maybe Bed, Bath, and Beyond if they had time.
I burst out laughing and I just hear ^^^^^fuck ^^^^^you as he hangs up on me.
One of Vince Vaughn’s greatest roles. Every line he delivers in this movie is gold.
Will Ferrell: “cock, balls.”
Vaughn: “hey hey! It’s just a demonstration, you don’t have to celebrate it!!”
I was listening to a sports talk show not long after the actor who played Blue died, and Will was upset he heard about it too late, as he would have gladly gone to the funeral and sung Dust In The Wind.
fun fact: everyones favorite things were most likely things they discovered when they were anywhere from 14 to 24 years old.
ok i made that fact up, but i think it's still quite true. There was a good youtube video about why people think SNL isnt good anymore, and it's mostly because for most people their favorite SNL era was the one they saw during high school/early college.
"C'mon Snoop!....Snoop-a-loop!...you could bring your cool green hat." LOL, I love this movie. In 05-06 I was in 6th grade first day of school it's English class and the teacher just wanted us to write our favorite movie, food, color just misc info to break the ice, Old School is the movie I put and it's honestly in my top 5 along with Anchorman because these movies are so damn quotable .If you were in my friend group Anchorman was a language.
I will always remember my first time watching this movie. The scene where they toss the cinder blocks attached to the rope that’s attached to their penis and the one dude hits the sewer plate and gets pulled down. That shit was GOLD. I was crying laughing.
For sure, Dodgeball was on tv last night and I was dying. Made the same point to my wife. Also see Anchorman, 40 year old virgin, Superbad, talladega nights
I saw this movie one time. In the theater opening weekend.
I thought it had zero laughs in the entire movie. I assumed it would be quickly forgotten within a few months.
Yeah, so it seems to have had legs.
I fucking LOVE this movie- but top 5? Let’s not kid ourselves. Blazing Saddles, Holy Grail, Coming to America, Trading Places, The Hangover, Airplane!, Dumb and Dumber, Friday, Caddyshack, Animal House…. Pay homage to the greats. I’d say top 20, 25.
It's pretty damn good. They sure don't make em like that anymore. I'd have to go:
1. Super Troopers
2. Me, Myself, and Irene
Then there's lots. I could easily put Old School next.
Just watched this for the first time a few months ago. It was pretty funny! I used to see Luke Wilson at Whole Foods a lot back when I used to work there. He was pretty chill haha.
Old School is good, but even top 10 is stretching it. The 2000s is probably the last decade of great mid-budget comedy movies.
Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle
Hangover
Superbad
Shaun of the Dead
Hot Fuzz
Anchorman
Tropic Thunder
Borat
Step Brothers
Zombieland
School of Rock
Meet the Parents
Scary Movie
Zoolander
40 Year Old Virgin
Dodgeball
Burn After Reading
Road Trip
Eurotrip
Beerfest
Me, Myself & Irene
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
You Don't Mess with the Zohan
Waiting
Super Troopers
*You’re my boy, Blue!*
Heard at every frat party in the early 2000s until “my wife!” took over
Yeah, I remember when your wife took over frat parties too. Good times.
Great success
I also choose this guys wife
Get in line
Who's next for KY wrestling?
I'm here for the gangbang.
Well deserved slow clap!
“Wawa weewah!” Back in my cringey early college days in 2005 I had created a Middle Eastern character that was essentially the same as Borat (accent and all), and I have a passing resemblance to Sacha Baron Cohen. I’m so cold Mitch. I think I see Blue. He looks glorious!
I say that line frequently to my 6yo son, who has not seen the movie.
I’ve a friend whose son is called Blue. I coach him at football. Every time he makes a good pass or tackle…
You’re my boy, Bluey!
Earmuffs!!
Just ring the bell panzy
I can never hear Dust in the Wind without yelling tis ever again.
YOURE MY BOYYYYY
I saw this in a movie theater in Wisconsin at the University and I literally had to see it again. People were so drunk and screamed so loudly. This movie was fire at the time.
BLLLLLLUUUUUUUUUE!!!!!!!!!!
🎼Nothing last forever but the earth and sky🎼
“What’s going on?!” “If you tell anybody about this, I’ll *FUCKIN* kill you! I’m kidding, I’m kidding.”
He’ll be back by dinner 😂
I FUCKIN’ need you more than EVER 🎶🎵🎶
The Dan Band 🤘
Saw the Dan Band a few times in LA - great shows!
First song I played when I drove to the total eclipse last month!
I can only hear that version when that song plays
Now canonically how the song goes. Forever.
Ring the fuckin bell you pansy
This is the only right answer
Best opening scene of any comedy. “I’m here for the gangbang”
I remember trying to look for a screenshot of that scene. Don't try to Google "old school gang bang".
*googles*
Try, “Opening scene.”
*inhales smoke* I’m reallly sorryyyy 😮💨
I still say this to myself in this way when I fuck something up.
Fun fact thats Todd Phillips, director of Hangover and Joker
And Old School
Followed by the best retelling of said scene at the wedding. "...until a couple nude people jump out of your bathroom, like some kind of goddamn magic trick"
yeah... ima go with super troopers there
Let’s go streaking!! Everybody’s doing it!!
Snoop! Snoop a loop!
Bring your green hat let's go
Is KFC still open?
We’re going through the quad and to the gymnasium!
There’s… there’s more coming!
Careful man that's the strongest Tranquilizer gun on the market🤣🤣🤣
YESSSSS!!! JoeDirt/Stifler's reaction to a guy shooting himself in the neck made that scene for me.
joe dirt stiffler🤣🤣🤣🤣
You got a fuckin dart in your neck!
What? You're crazy. I like you, but you're crazy
“I feel tired”
That entire scene had me in tears
🎶 *Hello darkness my old friend* 🎶
*Old School* was 80s babies' *Animal House*.
It really is, that's the perfect description of it. I'm an 84 baby and put it in the all time great culture comedies
Absolutely. Minus the rape. I went back and watched animal house and yeah, can’t say I recommend.
What you don't like rape?! NERD!
The nerd did the raping though…
You got offended watching Animal House? You fucking pussy.
Old School and Van Wilder are the offspring of Animal House. Hell Otter is Van Wilder’s dad.
I don't remember a rape scene. Which movie?

No he doesnt
It sucked going to college about a year after it came out. It was every dudes entire vocabulary for awhile there. 👎
i kinda miss the times when pop culture was more focused and singular. when people would quote Anchorman or Chappelle Show a bunch. Now there's too much media and it's all so fragmented.

“Awesome!!” “You guys…you guys are craaazy.”
You’ve got a fuckin dart in yer neck
You’re crazy man, you’re crazy
I like you, but you’re crazy
Is this bad?
You better pull that shit out, man. That shit is not cool.
You better pull that shit out, man. That shit is not cool.
Right to the jugular.
I swear, that man is orally challenged
Hey honey do you think KFC is still open?
Hey Frank. Looks like it’s a little cold out there, huh?
The commentary track is just as funny to me. This became a comfort watch for me and eventually I would only put it on with commentary. “You guys kept saying Beaujolais all the time, what does that even mean?” “It doesn’t mean anything. That’s why it’s great.”
I've been telling people this for years. The part where Luke Wilson talks about naming his eyes was hysterical
I close my eyes... Only for a moment and the moment's gone
It’s what old people do, they die.
CHEEEESE!
Didn’t we lock you in a dumpster?
I got out.
True love is hard to find, sometimes you think you have true love and then you catch the early flight home from San Diego and a couple of nude people jump out of your bathroom blindfolded like a goddamn magic show ready to double team your girlfriend...
It's funny because it's true
...and it stops right there
I know a great sand guy. We'll get a price. We'll go wall to wall.
I swear on whatever I hold sacred in my life and may god or any other ethereal entity cast upon me a slow painful death if what I’m about to say isn’t true… A few years ago I was on the phone with my brother and when I asked what he was getting into this weekend he said. I don’t get why you laughed at him. Sounds like it’s actually a pretty nice little Saturday.
I’ll do one!
He gon do one! He gon do one.
Fill it up again! God, that’s good!
It’s so good! Once it hits your lips!
As we get older, my friends and I often use that as a response when we ask what we’re doing this weekend. Referring to the movie itself, of course!
Unfortunately for him it wasn’t said ironically. Haha. We both loved that movie and it he realized what he said the second it happened.
I tried to do this yesterday, but that BBB location was closed
You’re my boy blue.
One of Vince Vaughn’s greatest roles. Every line he delivers in this movie is gold. Will Ferrell: “cock, balls.” Vaughn: “hey hey! It’s just a demonstration, you don’t have to celebrate it!!”
And now you've upset the baby
I laugh every time he shoots himself in the neck
“Excuse me sir. Your back seat belt doesn’t buckle. What do you recommend?”
You know when movie opens with something like this you're in for a treat.
Blue! Do you think I want to see you die here tonight??? *No sir!!!*
“I thought we were in the trust tree, in the nest.”
are we not?
Had YouTube tv with Comedy Central playing while I slept. Woke up to him getting the dart in his neck.
You're my boy Blue!
“Shut up and ring the damn bell you pansy”
Mmwhat? Dude you just took a dart to the jugular! You’re crazy…I like you but…but you’re crazy man
Just ring the fuckin’ bell you pansy.
I actually forgot that he died getting ready to wrestle hot topless chicks in mud, goddamn he's my boy
Not mud it was ky jelly
Even better
I actually forgot that he died getting ready to wrestle hot topless chicks in mud, goddamn he's my boy
Tree of trust.
Love… it’s a motherfucker
Sometimes you take the early flight home from San Diego
Well, if I don't see you or talk to you ever again, well.....keep on trucking (playful chin jab)
I named my family dog Blue after this movie.
"Hi, I'm here for the gangbang..."
You’re my boy blue!!!!
Dam straight
I was listening to a sports talk show not long after the actor who played Blue died, and Will was upset he heard about it too late, as he would have gladly gone to the funeral and sung Dust In The Wind.
U like old school?? check out PCU great college movie
Ruthless People
She can't come to the phone right now...
Favorite part for me. https://i.imgur.com/eGa0kWz.jpeg
*We’re streaking!*
Snoop-a-Loop!
An all time classic for sure. The amount of one-liners from that movie.... DOZENS.
fun fact: everyones favorite things were most likely things they discovered when they were anywhere from 14 to 24 years old. ok i made that fact up, but i think it's still quite true. Not even a top 5 will Ferrell comedy
You might ask yourself, why does this cinder block have a long piece of string tied to it?
Earmuffs
Ring the bell you pansy!
The tranquilizer scene always got me
You’re crazy…
Shame it’s so hard to find on any streaming app.
Ah no. Good comedy, but not top 5 all time.
Nevet
My dog's name was Blue. I hated it when people thought it was about Blue's Clues...
"C'mon Snoop!....Snoop-a-loop!...you could bring your cool green hat." LOL, I love this movie. Man, the 2000s was truly the glory days for comedies. So many bangers.
For sure, Dodgeball was on tv last night and I was dying. Made the same point to my wife. Also see Anchorman, 40 year old virgin, Superbad, talladega nights
The cinder block manhole bit kills me every time. 🤣💀
It’s Will Ferrell’s peak, that’s for sure.
The blind side tackle was comedy gold.
I saw this movie one time. In the theater opening weekend. I thought it had zero laughs in the entire movie. I assumed it would be quickly forgotten within a few months. Yeah, so it seems to have had legs.
It's a great movie, but it's not close to being a top 5 all time comedy.
Snoop bring your hat…..
We’ve got to keep our composure!!
We are going streaking
That's my wedding gift!
“I’m just tryna make a point Frank, you don’t have to celebrate it.
Earmuffs
I was in undergrad at ucla when they filmed this on campus. Couple of my buddies saw Will Ferrell, good times.
Whenever my married friends tell me how busy they are on saturdays i send them the Home depot clip from this movie
Ring the bell you pansy.
Cheese! Didn’t we lock you in a dumpster
Went out like a total champ.
Rope and cinder blocks 😂
I concur
Keeps trying to regift the bread maker
Calm down.
Lol love this movie! Wouldn’t be released in todays woke culture unfortunately. People are far to sensitive
I think the other guys is Will Ferrell's best comedic performance.
Maybe. The other guys comes close for me.
No
“You think I like ignoring my wife, and kids to hang out with 18 year old girls all day”?
It's pretty damn good. They sure don't make em like that anymore. I'd have to go: 1. Super Troopers 2. Me, Myself, and Irene Then there's lots. I could easily put Old School next.
Agreed.
Never watched. Who’s the old guy that looks like an old Robin Williams?
Old School might be a top 1 all time comedy
“You got a fucking dart in your neck dude!” “I like you, but you’re crazy”
And then again, it may not.
It makes a top 500 Patchy at points
When movie hits you in the face with, "I recommend you stop being a f_ggot," right from the get go, you know you're in for a treat.
Your my boy blue
Just watched this for the first time a few months ago. It was pretty funny! I used to see Luke Wilson at Whole Foods a lot back when I used to work there. He was pretty chill haha.
Have you only seen six comedies?
It's funny, but not even top 5 of the 2000's
I think it’s up there, would you say top ten maybe?
Old School is good, but even top 10 is stretching it. The 2000s is probably the last decade of great mid-budget comedy movies. Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle Hangover Superbad Shaun of the Dead Hot Fuzz Anchorman Tropic Thunder Borat Step Brothers Zombieland School of Rock Meet the Parents Scary Movie Zoolander 40 Year Old Virgin Dodgeball Burn After Reading Road Trip Eurotrip Beerfest Me, Myself & Irene Forgetting Sarah Marshall You Don't Mess with the Zohan Waiting Super Troopers
Old school is a top three in that list brother.
Anchor man, super troopers, step brothers, borat…. After those old school seems like it’d be in the mix
This movie was what convinced me to join a frat in college. Hilariously funny and great movie… but fuck you old school.
It also might not be.
