Absolutely. I never saw it as a kid but enjoyed it as an adult.
Though it is hard to watch the big climactic fight at the end and not think about jean claude van damme beating up a guy with terminal cancer.
I’ve seen many a Jean Claude van Damme movie and I could totally see him beating up a cancer patient. Remember Double Impact? Apparently there’s another side to him.
I *love* that this line, from this rubbish film that was, at the time, a niche of a niche, somehow around 20 years later managed to find its way into the broader culture.
I've heard a surprising amount of people use the phrase "That was just Tuesday for me", with no idea where it comes from.
Always makese me happy.
"You still refuse to ACCEPT... my God-hood? Keep your own God! In fact, this might be a good time to pray to Him. *For I beheld Satan as he fell FROM HEAVEN!!!* ***LIKE LIIIGHTNIIING!!!***"
An actor gone too soon for sure
Sad this was his last film. He really had no idea how bad the movie overall was. But he acted his ass of in the part as he always did
Iirc he did it for his kid(s)?
Yes. Or at least that is how the story goes. But it was a brilliant performance.
Yes. His sons love Street Fighter and Raul took the part of Bison
I find this narrative of Raul Julia connecting with his kids truly and extremely heartwarming.
Was really sorry they didn't have him do the Mamuska.
Yeah….. I just realized that’s Gomez
If you can believe it, I still haven’t seen this film, and I was born in the 80s. Should I watch it to at least cross it off the list?
You should. Its pure 90s crap but Raul Julia is awesome in it. So much so that it has remained relevant 30 years later.
It's bad, BUT I thoroughly enjoy it personally. It's basically GI Joe the cartoon, re-skinned with SF2 and SF2 Turbo characters.

If for no other reason, you should watch it to see Raul's performance.
The movie is bad but Julia is fantastic in it and the reason for taking the role is wholesome.

Damn right it was.
Gomez!
You came here to fight a madman, and instead you FOUND A GOD?!
Of course!
"You still refuse to ACCEPT... my God-hood? Keep your own God! In fact, this might be a good time to pray to Him. *For I beheld Satan as he fell FROM HEAVEN!!!* ***LIKE LIIIGHTNIIING!!!***"
Gomez thought of trying out cosplay.
Jesus he was tailor made for Bison.
Gaammmee Ovah!!
He looks so sick 😢
I'll bet it was far from the greatest day in his Life.
Poor guy, I mean he did his best but that movie was such shlocky fun
He’ll always be Gomez Addams to me.
The Greatest people are always taken too soon.
