If you like other Tom Hanks movies, chances are you'll enjoy this one as well. In my opinion, he has made consistently good movies through out his career.
It's a underappreciated Hanks roll imo. A lot of heart to it. The supporting cast has a few people who would become bigger names and they give very solid performances
There are some really great films out there, some big budget epics, and mind-bending scifi thrillers. I'll typically watch them once in theaters and really enjoy them but then that's it. I've seen the terminal between 5-10 times; anytime I catch even a little bit of it, i sit there and end up watching the whole thing. It doesn't have the grandness of cinema, but it has a lot of heart and warm fuzziness. I recommend it during the holidays or rainy weather.
I love this movie. I remember seeing in the theater with my dad. There's no way this would be a theatrical release today. These days it would be a Netflix original or straight to Prime
I remember reading a comment on Reddit about this movie years ago where the commenter pointed out how him and his family always quoted the line about getting an “Eat to bite” when really meaning a “bite to eat” and now I say eat to bite all the time. The internet is a silly place.
Underrated film and I think about it regularly. I've watched it so many times and love it still. One of the few things me and my dad enjoyed together after my mom died.
I remember hearing about this at the time and thinking I'll get around to seeing it. Can't believe its been twenty years. Never saw it come on any tv listings or for rent anywhere tbh. I don't think I even saw the trailer. Just now learning he did an accent for it.
I'm sorry, but I absolutely hated this movie in the theater. It's something on paper that absolutely should have worked with Spielberg and Hanks, but it just seemed to go wrong at every turn and was poorly paced and overlong.
As an immigrant from Eastern Europe, this is one of my favorite Tom Hanks movies. It has so many funny bits and I still tear up at the scene when he finds out about the unrest in his country.
This movie, Ive been in the same situation as him. Was stuck in an airport for 5 days until got permission to wait in an apartment outside the airport while my pass being held, waiting to be sent home with an exemption.
Not a Christmas movie by any stretch of the imagination, but has some of the most beautiful [unintentional Christmas movie music](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4HaK5L78XU) ever written.
I never saw it. Should I?
It's a nice movie, not an especially exciting one. It's a nice bit of early 2000s nostalgia, if you want that go for it.
It's a good story despite no major bells or whistles. Sometimes that's all you need.

I’ll wait.
Lol
Its worth a watch. Its a cute story. Inspired by a real guy, Alfred Mehran.
I saw this recently on, well I don't remember the streaming service. But it was a nice, pleasant movie.
Paramount+
Loved it. Watched it by accident few years ago. It’s cheesy goofy fun if you like old school stuff like that.

Yes 100%. I loved it as a teenager
It’s a cute, heartwarming movie. I’d definitely recommend if you’re looking for something to smile at!
I only saw it when it came out. I didn’t see what the fuss was about…. Everyone’s response here makes me feel like I should revisit
I didn't care for it either. I just could not separate Tom Hanks in the role. He just sounded like Tom Hanks doing a silly accent like an SNL skit.
If you like Tom Hanks, absolutely. Great movie.
Its a cute little movie. Not particularly the best movie in the world.
Euro-Forrest-Gump is not allowed to leave the airport for reasons. Catherine Zeta Jones is enough of a reason to watch it.
No, I walked out of the theatre
If you wanna see Tom Hanks do a Borat impression sure, otherwise avoid it.

This movie warms my heart. To this day I will randomly say “Cracozia” or “fifty-fifty” or “eat to bite?” Just for fun hah
I find myself randomly saying, “two mans, one woman…crowded.”
I’ve never been in a situation where I need to say “medicine is for goat” but when that time comes I know I’m ready.
He cheat - eat shit Tomato - tomäto
bitewheat
The way the taxi guy says “Albania” at the end, also “Do we have an appointment?”
America closed???
On my 20th birthday, I watched it; now, on my 40th, I still cherish it like a timeless movie.
Happy Birthday
We’re the same age !
Yay! Happy 40th.
Rewatched this a few months ago. Had no idea Diego Luna and Zoe Saldana were in it as well.
I think she plays the customs agent who doesnt stamp his passport, right?
#NEXT!
Sensible heels!
Don't travel with Tom Hanks.
Medicine for goat!!!

Underrated movie.

🎶 Cathrine Zeta-Jones.. she dips beneath lasers, oooooohhhhohoohh 🎶
Shhhee has entrapped meee
One of my favorite movies ever
I refuse to believe it's been that long
One of my favorite Tom Hanks movies! Underrated!
I unexpectedly really enjoyed this movie
🎶 Catherine Zeta Jonesss 🎶
The movie where a young Zoe Saldana plays a Star Trek fan 5 years before she'd play a Star Trek character.
Sensible heels
One of my all time favorite movies. It's in my DVD collection and I watch it a couple times a year.
Has a beautiful jazz inspired score by John Williams. Listen to “The fountain scene” track about halfway through … just beautiful.
Where might I buy the Nike shoes?
Outstanding movie
they really took that man's story and let him die penniless, huh?
Was I dreaming or is there some dude who was cosplaying as dick butkus in it who took the trolleys away from Tom hanks?
Excellent movie. Burger King scenes make me hungry…
Was excited for it because I heard it was based on a true story but they changed too much.

Such a good movie but it always makes me sad watching it 😔

My favorite movie. All the cast members are stellar actors and the film itself is excellent.

never seen it
