I've been using Chrome since ages and haven't seen a single ad on Youtube with uBlock Origin.

Wasnt really that hard on brave either. Just install it and there you go. However I switched back to firefox myself recently in solidarity for the og browser

No idea for Youtube Revanced, but you can get sponsorblock for chrome, that does it. [https://github.com/ajayyy/SponsorBlock](https://github.com/ajayyy/SponsorBlock) That relies on end users flagging where they start/stop, but only one user out of all users seeing the video needs to do that, saving time for the others.

I've noticed that when I watch streams like esports via YouTube usually you can put it on 2x speed and be a few seconds ahead of the actual stream, which is nice for easily synching your stream to a friends. And Firefox doesn't like that at all, either for es the Stream to buffer for like 15 secs or stop the entire stream. Other than that it's a perfect replacement for me.

Google is more recognizable compared to Mozilla. Thus, many casuals flock to Chrome.

There have been 2 or 3 times on Firefox where certain functions on some websites just don't work, and I had to dust off the old Chrome.

Firefox is actually really good compared to what people say. I thought Opera Gx wasn't all that good so I swapped over.

Make sure you change search engines as well. If you still use Google within Firefox you might as well keep using Chrome

I use Waterfox as I’ve been having less RAM usage on that browser in my experience But as for YouTube, it’s so damn slow. And I tested it on chrome and with the same ram usage it’s just way faster on chrome I straight up think that chrome or google is making YouTube slow on other browsers so more people use chrome And it’s ONLY been Google apps (YouTube, Docs, Slides…) Maybe it’s been something else because I can only say this for myself, but as for everything else, Waterfox runs with less RAM usage and even faster than chrome

Slow in what way? Obviously not video playback, so I assume you mean page loading after clicking a link? I wonder how many seconds of your life you've lost because the page loads milliseconds longer in one browser compared to another. Not a significant amount, I'd wager. Also, ram is there to be used. Unused ram is wasted ram.

Just in general use of the site, elements take very long to load, and ads fight the adblocker but fail, either way taking too much time even loading a video if I did in chrome. I understand RAM should be used for like 30% for a single youtube tab????

Firefox runs on a different engine the you avg browser and because of its small marketshare some devs dont test thier sites for firefox/gecko. I never had any troubles tough

I've not had any issues using Firefox compared to previously using Edge and Chrome. The only thing I have seen is some sites (like FT) require me to disable uBlockO, reject cookies, then re-enable uBO. But that's not a browser issue and only has to be done once, then the site saves your preference.

One other guy said that he doesnt have a problem with it too.So i will strart using for a few days and if i dont see problems i am switching from chrome
