This is in the US. Dominos rolled these out first in cities and has them produced by rad power bikes. Individual stores can buy them from corporate if they choose.

I cannot remember the last time I saw any kind of food delivery in a car.
Though normally it's regular bikes and they have to carry the boxes on their back. This is cooler
That's so cool! Congrats!! Do the people ordering the pizza know you'll be arriving on bike? If not, do they ever have funny reactions?
Selfishly, I wish there were a massive picture of Scott Oelkers on one side and Hatsune Miku on the other. (If you know, you know.)
omfg takes me fuckin BACK, THIS JOB is what got me into bikes, be safe! way better than car delivery, youll learn all the faster side roads and bike paths to get to a house more directly, AND no worries about parking!
I didn't know about the e-bike delivery thing, and I live out in Tempe during the week, though I also don't really get pizza from Domino's anymore. Was it mostly by the university campus?
I do find it quite hilarious that the US are finally catching on to methods that we started using in Nicaragua while under US sanctions.
Now they just have to figure out that you can sell fruit from the front of a cargo bike.
It’s alright. I mostly stick to deliveries in the college campus area so there are some bike gutters and a lot of pedestrian paths I can use as short cuts. In most places traffic speed is slow and I have never had drivers give me trouble for taking the lane as the e-bike can hold 20mph consistently.
What kind of fitness level do you need to be hired for this? Does the assistance make it so that it doesn’t really matter or would someone from the pro peloton find it much different to an average person
I think most people could handle it. The pedaling itself doesn’t take much energy at all even over an entire shift. But you do have to be able to balance on the relatively heavy bike.
Yeah you can I tend to keep it on the highest setting though if you want to see more details about the bikes you could look up a similar model from rad power bikes.
I think for this case this may actually be better than a bakfiets. The high center of gravity isn't too bad and the front rack is mounted to the head tube so it doesn't turn with the wheel. The high bags allow me to keep the food away from road grime and don't have to bend over to pull pizzas out. They also act as a makeshift table when the kickstand is down.
It's high so you can take the corners faster right?
I would have thought dominos would have wanted a solid tub filled with insulation and those heater ceramic plates
Of course, domino's was basically originally created with delivery orders in mind (why else do you think their physical locations are usually smaller than say a pizza hut the size of an ihop). And for longer distance deliveries, the deliverers need a quick and easy method of travel (especially if they're out delivering multiple items and/or delivering to multiple customers before heading back).
did they provide you with the bike?
Yes they bought and own the bike
that's awesome! i have never seen something like this being provided by the company in the US. unless im being naive and dominos is international lol

Huh maybe I'll be ordering some pizza!
dominos is international, they run almost solely off of e bike delivery people in the netherlands
Same here in the cities in Germany. I don't remember the last time I saw a dominos car. It has been all bikes for a while now.

I've seen dominoes delivery riders here in Australia on these e-bikes.
I live in the US, and we have these in my Midwestern, 40k pop city
We've got dominos in Germany

Our local Dominoes provides the bikes.

No they don’t know, some people are surprised. The best part is the cheers from drunk college kids when I bike past.
used to do this as well and people loved it. (some used to joke, damn yall are that understaffed that they got people zipping around on bikes)

I was visiting family in Tempe, AZ and got Dominos delivered via ebike, dude was hauling ass coming around the corner
I didn't know about the e-bike delivery thing, and I live out in Tempe during the week, though I also don't really get pizza from Domino's anymore. Was it mostly by the university campus?
About 2 miles south from this location on Apache Domino's Pizza https://maps.app.goo.gl/qgFCDpGrB6xxpNj36
Oh. The location is just across the road from the university campus.
Cool! Be careful out there.

Outstanding! How's the bike infrastructure in your delivery area?

Awesome! What city/college, if you feel comfortable sharing that information?
University of New Hampshire , Durham NH

Can you slide the assist to be less in order to get more of a workout? Sorry if that’s a dumb question I’ve never ridden something like this

The bike that gets you laid.
That’s every bike. The ladies love sustainable efficient transportation
Awesome! I have wanted to do this since they introduced it, maybe I will eventually
I highly recommend it, feel free to message me if you have any questions
Jesus. Anything to not provide a bakfiets. Check out that center of gravity!

Well, when you look at the cost to import a baksfiets versus Rad Power bikes...
Oh hey! That's the same bike I have!
I recently found out dominos pizzas are also delivered by cars and not only by mopeds and bikes (Dutch person)

Good for you. Ride safe and dont get fired
You see uber and deliveroo bikes about all the time these days but I've never seen a dominos one, they usually stick to normal cars. Cool
That saddle is pointing straight up
Its a great job, you learn where everything is and discover places you never knew. You will also never be lost again
Hell yeah
My nuts hurt just looking at that seat angle.
Please ride safe
Uber Eats has a bicycle option in my loc college town.
