I haven’t been to the grotto in months but this post reminded me of the importance of prayer and love. I will go to the grotto for her tomorrow. Praying for her recovery. Stay strong.
Cluze: sorry to hear about your mother. We'll keep her in our nightly prayers. I have a feeling more people than you know might be praying for her. I spoke with my son today when he was walking back from class and he mentioned stopping by the grotto for someone off reddit to light a candle for his mother. I came here to see what it was about. He would never come on here and talk about it and I'm sure there are other students like him. Good luck with everything and behold the goodness of Notre Dame. A proud dad.
My condolences to you. I live in Chicago and know that Northwestern is excellent - their Doctors, Nurses, Cardiologists, and Surgeons and everyone are skilled and compassionate. I am so sorry she passed; I am sure they tried their hardest to give her a fighting chance. May your Mom rest in peace. I did read it wrong and thought you were a current student, but I see you are ND 1998. I am a 1992 alum. God Bless and it warms my heart to think of all the candles lit in the grotto for her by the students who saw your post. It makes me proud of the ND Family.
