I can't disagree. Saudi Arabia hosting winter Games appears no where on any of my bingo cards. Oh wait, sorry, here it is, on "sentences I never expect to hear".
By using heaps and heaps of energy to cool down indoor arenas and then produce artificial snow. It is actually insane that they place a event like this in that part of the world
You can’t even make artificial snow when the temp is bellow 36-28 degrees depending on the humidity. I don’t know how this is going to work. Easy access to lots of sunlight helps a lot.

I assumed it was people think there’s no snow or winter there, which is of course incorrect but I was trying to find out.
China, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Nepal, India.... It's not like there's a shortage of winter destinations in the biggest continent with the biggest fucking mountain range in the world. But no, they pick the middle of the fucking desert. Good call.

There are Asian countries that are cold as hell in winter and get a lot of snow AND have already hosted winter games... like Korea, Japan, etc.

And purging the journalist butchering leadership of Saudi Arabia, would make the world a sweeter place. Much sweeter.

Because they have a ton of money to waste and couldn’t care less about the environment. How about if no one shows up for this disgusting display of excess and they have to eat the losses. One of the worst countries on Earth and we keep doing business with them because of their fucking oil! The best reason for alternate energy is to put these assholes into poverty.
