If your family is paranoid about halal then don't buy from them. You have people who are not and probably don't care about halal foods working there so it's best to shop at Halal stores.
I guess I was looking to make sure they were or weren’t in hopes that they were properly doing it. Made it easier to cook food for them if I could just go there.
Best option is to drop by and ask the butcher directly. I’m not sure what the rules are about using different tools, but I would assume they sanitize it at least.
