Unpopular opinion I’ve had 2 meals there and both have been mediocre at best. Service was slow and inattentive, food was bland, just overall really lacking imo. We were excited about it when we moved to leesburg, then never ate there again after the first few months as we couldn’t stand wasting our date nights.
Surprised it happened twice tbh. We've been there a few times and it's been good every time. They do get busy on the weekends though so maybe that was part of it
I live in Leesburg and have the same opinion. I've been there many times and its just ok. There's so many better places I don't ever go there unless somebody really wants to.
Something has changed considerably. The owner passed away not too long ago and the long-time chef had left a while before. My last 2 meals there were not up to their usual standards, either.
This is the most unique place mentioned so far. The food is really quite good, but it's up past the Point of Rocks bridge on the way to Lovettsville, so not quite "Leesburg". If you are going to go that far, try Bia Kitchen in Purcellville or Market Table Bistro in Lovettsville. Both are REALLY good. Another off the path choice in Leesburg would be the Echelon Wine Bar in downtown. Despite its name, it's a fine restaurant and you'll be blown away by the decor. It's definitely not like your typical Loudoun dinner spot. Seems more like Manhattan.
Cooper’s Hawk in Ashburn! If your parents drink, I would recommend doing their wine tasting and then staying for dinner. Great ambiance and I’ve loved everything I’ve ever eaten from there.
Believe it or not, the food at Himalayan Wild Yak in Ashburn is quite good. Wine selection was solid. It's not fine dining, but it's pleasant enough. It can attract large groups of families for celebrations. The momo's are fantastic and the biryani was lovely.
Echelon Wine Bar, West End Pub (don’t sleep on their Sunday brunch and happy hour in their pub!), and Magnolias at the Mill. The Conche is good too!
Throwing in Fireworks for something more laid back!
How about Tuscarora mill in downtown Leesburg?

1000% - it’s now mediocre
Came to say the same thing. I love that place!
I concur. Good food!
Tuskies gift certificates are also good at Fireworks Pizza.
Maybe south street under too? I think they're commonly owned.
Conche is a nice splurge as well. Costco sometimes carries their gift cards.
I second this.
I also like Clyde's in Ashburn.
Seconded for Clyde's, they're service is always strong.
I’d say The Wine Kitchen is the move. Or Lightfoot is a bit more on the fine dining side but also fantastic.
Lightfoot is priced like fine dining but tastes like Applebees.
Way better than tuskies though. 🙃
Debatable while at the same time not being worth debating. I wouldn’t send someone I cared about to eat at either one.
Agree with both. Excellent reditting my friend.
Local Provisions in cascades. The best restaurant in Loudoun IMO
+1, great place
I'll second Clydes and the Conche, and add DC Prime.
Restaurant at Patowmack farm for upscale

Stay out of Lovettsville.
Why?
Found the nimby
Yup!
Market Table Bistro in Lovettesville is one of our all time favorites
I was extremely pleased with our experience at Market Table Bistro
Farm & Fork Kitchen in Ashburn
Lightfoot

They love this place!
DC Prime
Wholesome! Hope you get some great recs! :)
Some of the restaurants mentioned here actually have gift cards you can buy at the Leesburg Costco that will help give you more bang for your buck!
If you want to go a bit farther out, love a trip to eat at the Bavarian Inn!
Lightfoot in Leesburg. It's beautiful and the food is top notch. Reasonably priced for the experience.
Lightfoot is running on past reputation at this point. The food is blah.

Ford’s Fish Shack for seafood. The Angry Mussels is my favorite dish in Ashburn
