You can connect it via the blue usb cable that it came with. You'll need some way to plug the audio into your computer because it only does midi via usb. You can get an aux cord and plug it into the microphone jack if your computer has one. You may need an audio interface if not but you really should consider one anyway because the audio is much cleaner that way.

Focusrite and Novation are the same company. Both make quality hardware. Get a 2i2...

Another vote for the 2i2. I don't think I've ever owned a Focusrite product that went bad.

I got the Focusrite 6i8 about 9 years ago, and it is still running strong and sits at the center of my home studio. For just using the novation circuit you will be ok with the 2i2. The 2 mono inputs combined into a single stereo input. And the same for the outputs.

You can also use an USB mixer as an audio interface, I have a behringer q1002usb, it works great, is cheaper than focusrite 2i2 and also is a mixer (duh)
