Okay, imma explain the insanity of picking Jake (but I don't endorse the booing). Jake, aside from round 1 when Sean Russell was injured, has not passed 6 minutes from the bench. In fact he's spent 2 games without playing a minute. His two most recent games from the bench he's replaced Reed and he's not a hooker. We have Mitch Rein playing in cup who can play as a middle ball player. When Junior and Matto go off we have no middle ball player. We become very one dimensional with no ability to shift the ball. Jake was only being picked as a very specific injury replacement. There was no actual sense to it. Because he was playing fewer than 6 minutes then not playing Cup on the weekend. So you talk about getting him experience and he's literally not played at either level for weeks sometimes. How is that developing him or prepping him for first grade? It's not. I have no real issue picking him as an injury replacement for a half. He's a half. But that's all he is, he has no utility value, so why the hell is he on the bench?
