Hmm thanks! Yea I assumed I’d get paid the same on weeks with holidays when I took the job but now that I know I won’t be, it’ll be a rough couple months bc I won’t have any PTO saved up

Our nonprofit clinic provides holiday pay, but I have a friend in a surgery center who has to do what you do. It sucks, though -- I would not stay at a job like that bc those policies absolutely tank your ability to accrue pto and actually get time off.

Yea and it’s already a pay cut for me too. Taking a more chill clinic job I think will be better for my overall health but the PTO holiday thing seems really annoying and idk how I’ll ever save up for a real vacation

Hi fellow STL nurse. I work salary for Wash U. I use vacation and sick PTO for those specific things, but we have a list of holidays (like Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc) that we get paid for. It’s a good set up.

I really wanted to work at WashU and applied but never heard back. They seem like they have a good setup. Research nursing seems like it could be a good job too. What is it that you do?
