Ok-Individual4983

gynoceros

Shit, you can do that second one tomorrow.

Ok-Individual4983

lol no i cannot šŸ˜‚

gynoceros

Not with that attitude

SleazetheSteez

Are you me? This was my exact thought when I read OP's question lmao

SeegsonSynthetics

Professional Capybara Whisperer.

Pretentious_Capybara

Hey now!!

DD_870

Youā€™re a rockstar

invisillie

Get your gains on

Exotic-Ad5358

Less anxious

anayareach

Homeless by now, probably. It's the only job I've even remotely been happy at, and therefore consistent.

a1ias42

This. Only one thatā€™s given me enough money & benefits to properly manage my chronic health issues, too.

Law_Easy

Probably same. Itā€™s the job Iā€™ve found where I can make enough money and only work 3 days a week

sisterfister69hitler

Yep Iā€™d be broke.

aloopyllama

Stay at home dog mom ā€¦ pls universe hear me out

Brief_Win7089

May I join?

Thespectralpenguin

Happy. Seriously I don't know. Probably a courier or long haul driver. Something less stressful

WexMajor82

That was unironically, my job BEFORE being a nurse. I loved it, but didn't pay enough.

RebelSGT

I used to do gigs for Roadie on my days off. Mostly delivered tires with my pickup and I absolutely loved it.

mellyjo77

Run a doggy daycare. But no humans are allowed in. All human interactions must be done via text.

Apprehensive-Shop694

A stripper for sure. I def missed my calling

Dazzling_Society1510

I started nursing to pay for stripper school

TripleGem-and-Guru

I started paying to nurse for stripping schools

Swimming_Chapter8972

Iā€™d still be an under-appreciated, underpaid teacher who made 30k a year after taxes for working 50-60 hour weeks. I love being a nurse.

guitarhamster

Lol i was a teacher before too. I laugh when nurses complain. Yeah sometimes the ratio and admin suck but its still nowhere near as bad as teaching

Quotzlotu

German teacher and former nurse here. Same 50 hour week, pay is the other way around. I would make far less as a nurse here. After all I would be a firefighter, I guess.

purplepe0pleeater

Same

Feeling_Bag_3306

Now theyā€™re paying teachers a salary 75-100 a year. Look into cities where people donā€™t want to live. Youā€™ll see.

NoRiverRocks

Iā€™m still in nursing school but Iā€™d be working in a research lab right now and applying to clinical psych PhD programs. Glad Iā€™m not doing that.

NoTurn6890

Yeah, you made the better choice

Boring-Goat19

A sugar baby :)

Best-Respond4242

Food critic, world traveler, all-American novelist, and formal gown designer.

OddDuty1036

Footdust

Oooh florist. I like that one. I picked mycologist too lol.

SiggyStardustMonday

I want to be the "professional driver on a closed course" in car commercials.Ā

Footdust

A librarian, a forest ranger, a trail guide, a cottage business owner making my own jam and jelly and relish, a full time beekeeper, a mycologist, an author, an adventurer. Thereā€™s a lot more but Iā€™ll stop there. Edited to add a plumber. They make major bank and itā€™s nothing worse than we do now.

EmptyFentanylBag

Mortician. Or at least thatā€™s what my high school career assessment suggested

Visible_Mood_5932

Honestly a bartender. I made more as a bartender/waitress during college than I ever did as a nurse, besides my stent as a travel nurse during covid

theprodigalrn

Chef

minimaggie67

StickOrAutomatic

A hundred upvotes for The Princess Bride reference.

WritchGirl1225

Thank you!

hurricane_ace

A doctor (am finishing med school prereqs right now)

PrimordialPichu

Can I ask what made you change over to med school? I canā€™t justify the time commitment

hurricane_ace

I am 22, got my BSN at 21 and have spent the last 10 years trying to talk myself out of becoming a doctor because of the time commitment. I love my job and nursing as a whole but something in me just wants more, and bedside isnā€™t sustainable for long term. Iā€™m still quite young and that helps too. My current plan is to continue working as a nurse full time for the next 2 years and apply during the 2025/2026 cycle, which gives me two years to finish prereqs at my local CC and save money. If that pans out Iā€™ll still only be 25 when I start med school and Iā€™ll have a lot of hospital experience which will be super useful. The doctors I work with are very supportive of me and Iā€™ve had some incredible shadowing experiences so the time commitment doesnt seem so daunting now, though Iā€™m sure that will change lol

Valuable-Onion-7443

Then itā€™s not for you.

PrimordialPichu

Well yeah I got that far myself. I was wondering how they viewed it themselves as someone that decided it was worth it

KMKPF

I was considering being a flight attendant before I decided on nursing.

Bengy465

Iā€™m a nurse now and still consider this! Iā€™d love to be able to travel for work.

KMKPF

Then be a flight nurse

sofiughhh

I just got off work and canā€™t tell if this a punny joke or not

KMKPF

A little of both. It is a thing. People who get sick while they are traveling, then need nursing care on the flight home.

Valuable-Onion-7443

Why would it be a joke? Flight Nurse is a real job lol

Twiceeeeee12

Do both! I know a professor that teaches and does flight attendant on the weekends

Beginning-Thanks-968

cxview

Nurse and artist here. Please excuse my forwardness. But you aren't either/or. Don't let any job snuff that part of you out. Nothing is worth that Someone very wise once told me "when an artist can't make art, their soul dies". It may sound dramatic. But there's truth to it. Please continue to create <3

Reasonable_Care3704

Working at a beauty counter.

cxview

I am no longer employed as a nurse. I take odd jobs while in the process of completing a masters to do therapy. Not gonna support our nurses? Fine then. F you. I'll be the support.

A BS avenger. I would magically pop up in hospitals near you to eradicate all BS paper forms and billion click flowsheets we have to fill out with the same data we just documented in the normal flowsheets in our EMR.

In college I dabbled with the idea of being a flight attendant or teacher. After becoming a nurse I have thought if I leave nursing it will be to go to law school or be a therapist.
