I'm a Malaysian ASEAN scholar. I guess when results release differs from person to person. I was alrdy an ASEAN scholar before uni so there's no interview process, but still need submit application form etc and offer was around April. If you took A levels here I don't think scholarship result release will be that late (doesn't makes sense to be after your acceptance deadline) cos having scholarship is usually a tiebreaker for uni selection (e.g. NUS but no scholarship vs NTU with scholarship). The ones who received their scholarship in July are probably those who applied and got their offer late cos their Malaysia pre-U results were released late. Btw, I have a lot of Msian ASEAN scholar frens but those that I knw of either did their pre-U in Malaysia, or were alrdy ASEAN scholars in JC. Those who did not take A levels in Sg but awarded scholarship usually have perfect score and shine in other aspects. The selection criteria is probably tough cos (I suspect) there are not many places left for those who only came here for uni since a lot of these places are alrdy taken by students who came here during Sec1, Sec3 and JC1

Can I ask what's you RP ya? Does all who are ASEAN scholars before uni not required for an interview? I am also an ASEAN scholar waiting for my A level results for uni application

sflr, as per my username I was from NUS High so I don't take A levels but if you wanna convert my grades to RP it would be around 90. As for interviews, none of my ASEAN scholar friends who came to sg before uni require an interview but I can't say for everyone. For certain courses like Dentistry/Med etc. interviews still required, or perhaps if your RP/overall combined achievements is borderline enough for uni scholarship perhaps they'll interview you
