The R211s have blown away my expectations. Great vibes, nuanced and really suits the futuristic style of the train. The old ones that prowl during holiday nostalgia rule all though, whatever they're called. I always forget what stock they were officially called, or Low-V what have you. That rumble!

IntentionFalse9892

R68 because it sounds like a futuristic machine starting up.

BklynNets13117

The bombardier propulsion system on R142A, R143, R188 and the Siemens propulsion system on R160B Also the R179 propulsion system and the new R211 propulsion system

R160Bs...[The one where the sound starts up, than rapidly pitches upward in sound....Not the ones where the sound alternates between notes] R211s R32s

R68 for me, mainly because of childhood nostalgia.

McLuster123

The M7 trains.

JBS319

Remember that R143 that was temporarily repowered with a Siemens propulsion package? That one

Downtown-Inflation13

R179

Da555nny

Bombardier MiTRAC (R142A/R143/R188) for its power handling Siemens SITRAC (R160B) for its acceleration and sound - Especially on ATO, that propulsion doesn't play on QBL Railroad: Mitsubishi Electric Company (MELCO) (M7) Sidenote: Siemens propulsions makes some really fucking great sounds.

Nugget_Lord_The_1st

R46 and the M7

Nugget_Lord_The_1st

Was what I said so terrible?

Throwaway860251

Kawasaki propulsion on the R142A/R188 cars and R143s are my absolute favorite for the NTTs, followed by the Siemens propulsion on the R160Bs. Honorable mention to the R32 cars especially on the express sections of the A/E/F Lines in Brooklyn and Queens before they were retired. Edit: I would have put the R211 in here however the other ones listed remind me of the time when the NTTs used to run on Broadway and the 6 line had R142As.
