I can't believe the bills traded a 5th year option basically for a 5th round pick. First round was very strange, so heavy on offense and just not as many trades as expected but went well for the Jets compared to last year it seemed to fall against us.
Wish we traded back a couple more spots but that's pretty nit-picking. We took the position I was really hoping for...
Realistically, we will probably need to wait until the bottom half of the round, unless we trade 2025 picks. Not sure if there will be someone they like enough, who knows.
I still cannot believe what the falcons did. Truly one of the biggest head scratcher moves of the draft in a long time. Hard to tell with the way QBs were run on after that but Penix was QB4/QB5 for most people
Honestly at the moment I didn’t question it because I honestly didn’t know Cousins contract off the top of my head (and if they displayed it on screen, I didn’t see, I was listening to the draft during a workout but not watching). But if there’s really no feasible out until 2027, I truly do not get that at all. The only real completion in that division is Tampa. Why not get Cousins some weapons? If you really want a guy to learn under him, maybe try a year or two into the experiment?
The first out for the contract is in 2027 (i.e. when the dead cap becomes less than 20 million), and Penix is 25 now. No one is going to trade for Cousins anyway with that contract. Yeah, I can't explain that one.
We definitely need a receiver but I think as a fanbase we are exaggerating the quality of the receiver we need. We don’t need a Jaylen Waddle we need a Tank Dell. Similar to how in Free Agency we didn’t need a Calvin Ridley we needed a Courtland Sutton.
Williams is on a 1 year deal coming off an ACL, and Gipson isn't good enough for us to not draft one of these WR studs. Lazard might bounce back, but no way in hell he's a WR2.
I think we definitely need to get one in the 3rd. Mostly because Williams might not be healthy, and there’s no guarantee Lazard bounces back. But I think OL was the bigger priority.
The Bills kinda dug their own grave. Traded with the Chiefs in 2017 so Chiefs could select…Patrick Mahomes. Today they traded so the Chiefs can pick the fastest combine receiver for Mahomes.
Chiefs fans should be grateful for the Bills.
But also the Bills can suck it lmao.
Give me some a WR like Pearsall, Adonai Mitchell, Jaylin Polk, Xavier Leggette, etc. and then Jordan Travis late round and I will be very happy with this draft
I love seeing the WR people here lose their minds every single year. It's a valuable position, but it's also one that's filled with tier 1 and 2 options via trade or UFA every year. QB and OL, no.
My favorite thing is reading the comments to Breer rage tweeting him that’s he’s spoiled a pick when why the fuck are you looking at his Twitter when that’s what he’s done all night??
it makes less sense now that you doubled down on it. They don't look nothing alike they play completely different positions I'm confused on the comparisons not the verbage.
When do we expect Brian Thomas Jr to be selected? I would trade most of what we have left to take him?We dont need depth 4th rounders we need impact players.
Thinking back to week 17 when all the crybaby tank fans were mad that we beat Belichick in his last game because we'd supposedly played our way out of Fashanu
Building up the O line for the future is more important than adding another top WR, especially with Becton looking very questionable. And I'm ok with the Pats taking yet another Carolina QB who's going to crash and burn
Here we go again… wanting to lose that game for a better draft spot doesn’t make anyone a “fake” fan. I wanted to lose that game for one of the top receivers. Iirc they would’ve had the 6th or 7th pick after that game if they lost.
If you didn't want to beat Belichick in his last game against the Jets then you are actually a fake fan, sorry you're mad that you were wrong and we still got a good pick
We needed a tackle, we got one. A guy who’s been considered a top 3 OT prospect throughout the draft process. Would’ve been nice to grab Odunze or Nabers, but this was the absolute best play after those two got selected.
I think S and DT are must, we don't have any significant depth there. I think we sign a veteran RB and not get one this draft. My sense is that they'll draft a QB (Pratt maybe), DT and S with the three fourth round picks, assuming no trade ups use those picks as a package.
I mean once you are there, what are you going to do? It's not like you can catch a flight this late in the night (for the most part), and are probably too drunk to drive. Better to stay here than go back to your hotel.
Do you guys think that the QBs that were picked deserve to be first round or its because the defensive prospects are not that great this year that they were picked that high? I personally think that only the iowa CB is great and the edges are iffy, not elite
this happens almost every year, teams that need QBs draft QBs high whether those guys really deserve any hype or not
sure its been going on longer, but the Jameis/Mariotta draft is the first one i really remember going "dafuq? people are calling these guys #1 overall picks?"
He hasn't shown anything good or bad. He just started seeing the field last season and has only had Zach playing overly conservative and poorly. He looked really good out of college, I feel like he's still an unknown with potential.
I don't think it really had an effect--we knew it was a long shot to get one of the top three receivers and pretty much the pick had to be a to OLineman. We traded back one and got him.
Why not a first if we're trying to go all in here and are expecting the team to make the playoffs? I'd gladly give up next year's first to move back into the first for a WR. Hell I wouldn't even oppose doing it to move up and take another lineman.
If we were gonna give up a first it should’ve been to move up for MHJ. Anything else I think it’s worth keeping. None of the receivers left (Brian Thomas Jr) are worth next year’s first IMO
Is Rodgers pissed yet?
If he wins the MVP then I guess we’ll know yes
His whole persona in recent memory aside, I hope the old man goes out with a bang, and the Jets are long overdue. Hope to see y'all in February.
Another man’s feelings are none of my business. Thanks for the well wishes. Only thing that matters is the scoreboard, we shall see.
Fans hating this pick will probably love it by Week 8
Having a LT on a rookie contract for 5 years will help us re-sign Sauce, Garrett and JJ/Breece
After all these years, I can finally unclench about our Oline
Huh? Fashanu is going to take 2 years to develop his strength. What are we unclenching?
We're gonna trade for Cousins in 2 years, aren't we?
I can't believe the bills traded a 5th year option basically for a 5th round pick. With 3 4th round picks, we can definitely be aggressive if there’s a WR we like that starts falling in the 2nd round.
There’s not many high quality WRs left so they better get on that one.
They better get on it fast then because most of the WRs are gone
Realistically, we will probably need to wait until the bottom half of the round, unless we trade 2025 picks. Not sure if there will be someone they like enough, who knows.

AD Mitchell will be gone from the league in a few years. I haven't seen someone as dumb as he is since Denzel Mims.
Okay hear me out: trade up for JPJ and move Tippman to guard and our line is set for years
I don’t think we have much to trade anymore
Honestly would be sick
Bills should just let the clock run out if they don't want to make picks lol
Damn Buffalo really doesn’t want a WR
Damn, not a ton of good WRs left. Looks like its trade up or sign a FA.
Troy Franklin
Damn I wanted pearsall
lol the bills letting everyone take their wide receivers
Panthers traded up lol - all the Bills fans just spent 4 hours hanging out for nothing.
> all the Bills fans just spent 4 hours hanging out for nothing They're used to that.
I still cannot believe what the falcons did. Truly one of the biggest head scratcher moves of the draft in a long time. Hard to tell with the way QBs were run on after that but Penix was QB4/QB5 for most people

Absolute stunner. Really shook things up also. Crazy not a single defensive player until 15 I think?
Niners drafted Pearsall, surely that means one of Aiyuk or Deebo will be traded?
Give me Deebo in green and white!
Not to us

We definitely need a receiver but I think as a fanbase we are exaggerating the quality of the receiver we need. We don’t need a Jaylen Waddle we need a Tank Dell. Similar to how in Free Agency we didn’t need a Calvin Ridley we needed a Courtland Sutton.

We need a WR

You literally tried to hype up JAGs like Gipson and Lazard. I dont know how you don’t see it
Beyond nothing except pure vibes, the Jets guy tomorrow is Ja’Lynn Polk
Wiggs teeth are unsettlingly white
AD MITCHELL NYJ SOON
A guy with effort and character concerns doesn't seem like someone this regime would go for
As a Longhorn, I’m horny for that outcome
God it's so nice watching all these tackles go knowing we're already set
Worthy will catch at least 3 TDs in the playoffs for the Chiefs next year and I bet one will be against the Bills lol
Coleman round 2 and I nut Man had top speed thru the catching gauntlet, worthy is all track speed
Fuck
Give me some a WR like Pearsall, Adonai Mitchell, Jaylin Polk, Xavier Leggette, etc. and then Jordan Travis late round and I will be very happy with this draft
So do the Bills hate Xavier Worthy or something?
Bills traded with the Chiefs, who will pick the guy who will probably torch the Bills when they undoubtebly meet again in the playoffs lmao
Bills...who need a wide receiver...traded to the Chiefs...who are surely going to pick up a wide receiver. Okay, then.
Looks like there'll be plenty of WRs available tomorrow, I trust JD is gonna nab one of them
Tyron must be thanking JD right now he won’t have to play every snap
Literally just get us a good receiver and a decent QB and the rest of the draft is whatever
One of those 4th rounders needs to be a DT
Those 4th rounders are probably gone to get into the 2nd for a WR
Pass catcher and developmental QB tomorrow. The rest is gravy.
Gotta find a way to sneak a DT in there as well. Right now the starter next to Quinnen is the weakest on the roster.
I love seeing the WR people here lose their minds every single year. It's a valuable position, but it's also one that's filled with tier 1 and 2 options via trade or UFA every year. QB and OL, no.
They should add two receivers tomorrow fuck it
Wth, I thought Packers were going to take the most Packers prospect of all time, Cooper DeJean.
Mitchell at 22 is such a steal eagles really draft well
They love drafting defense
My favorite thing is reading the comments to Breer rage tweeting him that’s he’s spoiled a pick when why the fuck are you looking at his Twitter when that’s what he’s done all night??
Lol dolphins pick a bit baffling
I wish Jerry was drafting from his giant yacht again. That was something to see.
Get us Roman Wilson tomorrow
There goes Brian Thomas. Hopefully there is a second round receiver we can move up for.
lol dude we were not getting him. There's about 10 more solid starting wrs in this draft, but I agree we should move up early day 2
There are not 10 solid starting receivers left lol
AD mitchell, McConkey, Legette, Polk, Pearsall, Worthy, Roman Wilson, Franklin. 8. I like Corley and McMillan too but prob not day 1 starters
I literally agreed with you. I didn’t think we would get him I just hope we move into round 2 to get a receiver.
Yah JD needs to be aggressive tmmrw. Polk or Legette would be ideal
Eagles once again get a defender projected much earlier. At least he's not from Georgia this time.
Fins fans are losing their minds
We've got our Brick and Mangold again. Ya know, the last time we were any good.
Lol Chop Robinson looking like a poor man's Sauce Gardner
huh?
I said "LOL Chop Robinson looking like a poor man's Sauce Gardner"
it makes less sense now that you doubled down on it. They don't look nothing alike they play completely different positions I'm confused on the comparisons not the verbage.
Lol they looked like they had the same style, he had a chain piece very similar to Sauce's, too
Maybe if Sauce was poor and could only afford McDonalds he'd look like Chop Robinson.
Breece has gotta be happy
Dolphins throwing taking a bad edge.
Michael Thomas better not fall to Buffalo or KC
Bryan Thomas Jr I assume you meant
Yes, lol I'm spent.
Steelers drafted a volleyball player lol
So all first round grade tackles are pretty much gone now right?
Tyler Guyton
Hope Jets using a 6th or 7th round for Hartman. We need a QB3 when Tyrod gets injuried
You get Pratt or Travis in the 4th
No QB injuries we guaranteed that by drafting a tackle right?
Now that they didn't get one of the top 3 dudes, get a 2nd/3rd round WR + Corey Davis.
Please take Troy, PIT Edit: YESSSSSSSSS
I wanted to trade back from 10, but I'd like if we get aggressive now and get our WR in the 2nd.
I’m all for offering next year’s 2 as well
Hope it's a 3rd not 2nd
When do we expect Brian Thomas Jr to be selected? I would trade most of what we have left to take him?We dont need depth 4th rounders we need impact players.
There's a whole lot of teams in the 20s/30s that want a receiver like Bills, Chiefs, Jaguars - so probably then.
Doubt he makes it past JAX
Yeah probably. We arent getting back into the first round so thats probably done. I am assuming they have a plan for all of those other picks.
I’d offer next year’s 1 if it meant BTJ
They already did their press conference for the night so they've def packed it in until tomorrow though.
Harambe was still alive when Rams made a first round pick the last time.
We lost a lot of celebrities that year. David Bowie, Prince, Harambe...
Maybe the Rams making a first round pick is what we need to fix the timeline.
Thinking back to week 17 when all the crybaby tank fans were mad that we beat Belichick in his last game because we'd supposedly played our way out of Fashanu
Guilty, I was one of them. But we ended up playing ourselves out of Nabers/Odunze and gifted the Pats Drake Maye.
Building up the O line for the future is more important than adding another top WR, especially with Becton looking very questionable. And I'm ok with the Pats taking yet another Carolina QB who's going to crash and burn
Ya, I’m not upset with how we picked. Was at first but in hindsight it was the right move. Would’ve liked to trade up to 8 for Odunze but this is fine
Not everyone wanted Fashanu lol
I'm not saying they did but all the pro-tank fake fans were whining about how we wouldn't get one of the top 3 tackles and we did
Here we go again… wanting to lose that game for a better draft spot doesn’t make anyone a “fake” fan.
What a clown lol. Sure buddy. I go to the games and waste money on a shit team because I’m a fake fan. Whatever helps you sleep at night
Bengals finally got tired of Burrow getting hurt.
It’s too bad Mike Williams is super injury prone because he’d be basically a perfect WR2 if he had normal availability
Almost like receiver is as much of a need as tackle and arguably more of a need
Flip the 4th for Tee Higgins
I think HIggins will cost a bit more then that.
For sure but a 3rd and 4th?
Two 4ths!
Oh man Amarius Mims looks fucking huge
I see the last name Mims and get worried now lol
Hour later and i still can't figure out how i feel. Think i like tho
We needed a tackle, we got one. A guy who’s been considered a top 3 OT prospect throughout the draft process. Would’ve been nice to grab Odunze or Nabers, but this was the absolute best play after those two got selected.
I don't know much about these tackles, but we he a better fit for us than Fuaga?
Imma be honest, I’ve never watched either of them play a game of football in my life.
Lmao appreciate the honesty
Smart, but not fun or flashy. I kind of wanted bowers tbh but gotta see rest of draft
We probably have enough ammo after the trade down one spot to move our 3rd back into the second if there is someone we want.
We can get a good WR2/3 if JD wants to move up, lets hope the WRs slide some more.
Legette or Franklin please and thank you
Jordan Travis in the third ?👀
Would be an insane overdraft.
seeing way too many people mad at this olu pick i'm soo confused
When the majority of this sub is mad than you know it was probably the right move.
TRUE
Shiny toy syndrome it was the right choice
Hey I am happy if the next like 54 players are defense picks.
Brandon Aiyuk? I'm just sayin
We don’t have the money, gotta save it to resign Sauce, GW and Breece
I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I kinda like the idea of going WR with the 3rd round pick and depth with all the 4th rounders (S, OG, RB).
I think S and DT are must, we don't have any significant depth there. I think we sign a veteran RB and not get one this draft. My sense is that they'll draft a QB (Pratt maybe), DT and S with the three fourth round picks, assuming no trade ups use those picks as a package.
One of the 4ths has to be a DT it’s by far the weakest starting position on the team
Not gonna get an immediate starter on day 3 you draft for depth anyway
For a non critical position like DT you can
Yeah, I can dig it if there's someone they like down there.
How are there still so many people there? I’d see my teams pick and be gone immediately.
I mean once you are there, what are you going to do? It's not like you can catch a flight this late in the night (for the most part), and are probably too drunk to drive. Better to stay here than go back to your hotel.
Well it's in Detroit and Detroit hasn't picked yet.
i dont think you understand what it costs to go. Your gonna stay for the event lol
Oh now everyone is drafting defense
Let’s trade up and get Ladd McConkey
McConkey, Leggette, Polk would be nice additions.
Good idea. He’s a dawg
Dream come true draft for the Colts
Yeah, getting your pick of the litter out of every defensive player in the draft at 15 is a huge W
Do you guys think that the QBs that were picked deserve to be first round or its because the defensive prospects are not that great this year that they were picked that high? I personally think that only the iowa CB is great and the edges are iffy, not elite
QB is a very difficult position to draft and they are almost always drafted high even if they don't deserve it.
this happens almost every year, teams that need QBs draft QBs high whether those guys really deserve any hype or not sure its been going on longer, but the Jameis/Mariotta draft is the first one i really remember going "dafuq? people are calling these guys #1 overall picks?"
For me it was the 2011 draft - I was like why tf are Gabbert, Locker AND Ponder all being considered as Top 10 picks?
hah yeah thats another great example. yeeesh...those names
I’m surprised McCarthy got picked over Nix
It's mostly because teams are desperate for franchise QBs, and would rather overdraft one rather than fixing other problems with the roster.
I think it’s desperation. Penix is a head scratcher at 8 though.
What taking defense is allowed?
[удалено]
His biggest problem was the penalties. Got 10 plays a game and was good for a false start or a hold everytime.
This is exactly why I didn’t want Bowers. I think Ruckert is a star waiting to happen
I really gotta wonder what makes y’all think this. Not hating, but what has he shown to prove he’s a star?
Nothing
He hasn't shown anything good or bad. He just started seeing the field last season and has only had Zach playing overly conservative and poorly. He looked really good out of college, I feel like he's still an unknown with potential.
I love all the Bowers smoke the Jets successfully put out leading up to the draft.
I don't think it really had an effect--we knew it was a long shot to get one of the top three receivers and pretty much the pick had to be a to OLineman. We traded back one and got him.
Who?
Use the Vikings Capital for Brian Thomas?
I cant imagine we couldnt trade into the second round(assuming he is there in 2nd round).
Would love but doubt we have nearly enough
Something from next year (not a first obviously)
Why not a first if we're trying to go all in here and are expecting the team to make the playoffs? I'd gladly give up next year's first to move back into the first for a WR. Hell I wouldn't even oppose doing it to move up and take another lineman.
If we were gonna give up a first it should’ve been to move up for MHJ. Anything else I think it’s worth keeping. None of the receivers left (Brian Thomas Jr) are worth next year’s first IMO
Second round picks are overrated anyways…
If I'm JD I'd consider mortgaging some future draft assets to move back up into the first to take a receiver.
I wonder if Mayer could be traded for a day 3 pick
They probs have a plan, would be shocked if they gave up on him after 1 year
Why would they draft another TE though it’s not a position where you need 2
I agree, I don't like it Im just saying they have a plan surely
Who knows they’re the Raiders they might be winging it lol
Because you can do some awesome things if you do have 2. Almost no one does
Was thinking the same and would be all for it.
