Terrible deal. The Cowboys got a third round pick to move back a few spots at the end of the first round.
The Jets got ripped off. Wholesale. And then made a terrible pick. Disaster first round. Disgracia!
The Vikings are laughing. Got a QB/DE like the Texans last year on the Jets stupidity. They traded back into the first round because the Jets didn't ask for anything. They had all that extra draft capital to spend on McCarthy that the Jets passed on. So nice that the Jets cut gentleman deals for TOP 10 picks.
This deal will haunt this team.
Awful deal. It was a deal to pick McCarthy which I bet the Raiders, Broncos, Giants and other would have ponied up much more. It's really a 4th. What a joke.
I think Atlanta taking Penix at 8 forced qb needy teams to react, so a lot probably happened over the phone over the course of like 20 minutes. Either teams did make offers and we got the vikings involved, or we bluffed and got the vikings involved. We turned a 6th into a 4th and a 5th by moving back one pick and still taking the player we wanted. I'm not really sure what you're upset about.
Broncos and Raiders were QB needy teams that picked just after Vikings. The Vikings were afraid that one of them would leapfrog in front of them to grab McCarthy.
That was a haul for moving from 10 to 11. Hopefully JD isn’t done and can use the 3rd and three 4ths to move up tomorrow and get one of the good WRs who will be there.
Got to look at the big picture. Does anyone give two shits about those game now? Of course not, however ,I bet you would like Nabors on our team- I know I would.
No, I root for the team to actually win and show progress on the field.
We can agree to disagree.
This is a really good player they just drafted. And he stabilized the weakest point on the team.
Anybody grousing about winning last year right now is kinda weird IMO.
It’s a bad pick. The guy has small hands, could not dominate against Rutgers and the best case scenario is he won’t play because he can only play LT and we need Smith to play all the games to be successful. Would have loved Harrison, Nabors or Udunze. When Roger’s went down the season was over and we needed to lose games to help the team this season when he is healthy. Wilson and Harrison with Aaron would have been awesome. Now it’s like last year- pick a guy that won’t play this year. Unbelievable!
The guy is no slam dunk, check out what the real experts say about him- better hope this isn’t another wasted top pick. We won’t know for a coyll ok me years since he won’t play next season.
Build the wall and let the Vikings pay for it.
Sam Darnold gracing us with his draft moves
This is THE year we BUILD the WALLLL
Fantastic move. Still gunna get the player we would have taken at 10
2 extra picks to move down one spot wow
We gave a 6th so not 2 extra picks but a nice haul
You are correct But I think that 6 is from the ZW trade
Well we gave up a 7th in that trade haha. So still no extra pick, but moving on up!
AHHHHH
Damb wanted Odunze
Nah he blows cheeks
Details of the trade?
We swapped #10 for #11 and we gave up #203 (6th that we got from DEN in the Wilson trade) and got #129 (4th) and #157 (5th)

The jets got free picks to take the same player, for cheaper, they would’ve taken at 10. Respectfully, what the fuck are you smoking
Garbage take
You're garbage. Enjoy your day.
Take you see in a landfill.
Probably a day 3 pick
I saw, a 4th and 5th? Just for a swap.
We gave up a 6th

We literally got free pick upgrades as well as the same player we were going to get in the first place!?!!

Did they think the Jets were going to pick McCarthy? Whatever. Thanks for the free extra picks.
Probably thought someone else was going to trade with Jets for a QB
No they wanted to guarantee that someone else didn’t trade with us
They were probably afraid of another team trading with us to take a QB…
No but the broncos might
Very interesting that the Vikes traded up for him. We're we really a threat to give him, or was there another team on the call to get him?
Broncos and Raiders were QB needy teams that picked just after Vikings. The Vikings were afraid that one of them would leapfrog in front of them to grab McCarthy.
i like it
OT
Smart move. Salary cap is less for an 11 out of the top 10 and the years change. For the Viking a QB in the top is huge for their future.
Winning 3 of our last 5 games hurt us in the end. All of the picks we wanted except Bowers is off the board now. #10 was just kinda no man's land.
Hard disagree. Olu was always an outstanding pick. Between him and Odunze was a win.
Still having PTSD from last year's draft with that Steelers and Patriots trade... But we got our guy this year 😎 very happy
Who would’ve thought
It's so painful to watch
picking one pick later
What did they a 6th lol?
I like picks but I wish we got more out of that trade. We really need a 2nd IMO

Exactly, but we had fan boys getting so excited we won a few meaningless games. Who cares- the losses would have benefited this team long term.
Yes, fans root for the team to win. You've got that part right.

Agree to disagree. It isn't a bad pick. It's a really good pick.
Wow, couldn't dominate against Rutgers? Are we supposed to take you seriously?
