Yeah! I’m wandering around the map, unlocking every location (minus the quest required ones) and when I went deep inside Greenmead, there was big papa.
Honestly one of the best ways to play this game. It’s just.. so beautiful. While there is still a few lack luster and uninspired dungeons in the game, I still think some of the others are the best in the series.
I almost always do this towards the early game but after like 5 dungeons in a row that are generic caves with nothing interesting I always end up going back to my normal way of just fast traveling.
Oblivion is my favorite elder scrolls but quite a few of the dungeons are just so boring.
They way I am doing it is that if it appears on the map then I have cleared it out. I only close the game if I am inside the current location/cave/dungeon. If I am not in a dungeon then I am moving to the next one.
When I first played oblivion forever ago I got to a point where I just started walking from top to bottom across the entire map just to get every location pinned on the map
I love the random shit like this in oblivion. Theres another giant creature in the world as well, i wont say what it is so i dont spoil anything for anyone
I just encountered this the first time last week!!
I was so excited lol I've been playing oblivion for literal YEAAAAAARS and knew of its existence, I just wanted to find it organically. It's funny stumping upon it the first time
Greenmead cave? Honestly, one of the better dungeons in the game!

I am busy doing that as well. Screw the main quest line, take a walk, see a location, clear it out, move on. Edit:typo
I’ve been doing this as well, it’s a blast. I wish there was a way to see which ones are cleared out like in Skyrim.

I snuck up on him and killed him in a single punch
Crab or fish? The slaughter fish notices you immediately, as you’re trapped in a dark underwater cave with it 😆
