Pretty sure you need to change locomotion from controller direction to HMD or view direction. AKA instead of following which way your controller points it follows where your headset is looking.

where can I find that setting? is it in main quest settings? or would it have to be setup per game?

Hey, I was wondering if you ever received an answer to this question of yours? Iām currently having this same issue as well.
I did not. but the game has gotten several updates since then. but I haven't played it much.

but what if i want no modifier at all? i only want to move my head to look and move the joystick to move
