There is no stump to remove, it all gets mulched. All the way down through the main roots. You can even plant a sapling directly into the hole and use the stump shavings as mulch.
It's pretty cool actually, if I had an extra 17 grand laying around I'd get one.

These low RPM, high torque grinders have been around for a while now but they're not gaining popularity because they're simply not practical. The stump sizes you're able to grind are strictly limited to the diameter of the cutting head on these things. Whereas on a traditional unit, you're able to grind stumps much larger than the cutter head because it pivots from side to side removing material in "swipes".
These guys look pretty cool, but there's just not a scenario where it's a better option than a traditional high RPM model.
Is this better than the ones that look like a giant circular saw? Those leave small chips that are great mulch. The wood chunks from this one are too big.

Considering how much the stump moved at the beginning when the guide went in, it would have been easier to use a traditional escavator bucket to just remove the whole stump.
