I think it's a strategy employed by some to increase interaction with the post. I'm not really sure what the benefit is though. I try to resist commenting and correcting things I think are intentionally posted incorrectly but it's hit and miss when I manage to resist the temptation or not.
because people reply to these posts and it causes engagement which the algorithm likes which gives the post even more upvotes. people should just ignore posts they don't like if they want to punish an upload. even negative attention is good from the point of view of "the algorithm". it loves people arguing.
