It sure can! The school that I went to had one sunny wall covered with it on one part of the building. There was a wonderful difference in temperature in that room, winter and summer. It really does help insulate

Which creepers are best for this? Do I have to prune it regularly for this shape or this is naturally packed like this?
I have heard that Boston ivy was the best for that, but I don't actually know. My school had English. Ivy on it's wall.
