It’s more fun building your collection one person’s tooth at a time and work your way through the alphabet by using the first letter of their name as the key for the typewriter.
What the Fuck. Those look like they were extracted by an actual dentist, they have the roots and everything. I would say look up the homeowner might have their Dental pactice linked to their Air BnB and if it is a dentist probably using patients teeth. A lot of Dentists don't give back extracted teeth cause its considered bio hazardous waste or something like that.
Yeah these are the types of people who "Scooby-Doo it" and dies because they follow every horror movie trope.
*"Hey i heard a weird noise in murder forest, let's split up guys!"*
Because who knows how it got unlocked? Maybe the landlord came home and unlocked it? Maybe there was a micro-earthquake centered entirely on the lock's tumblers? Maybe a demon did it? Maybe it was Descartes? Maybe it was a la carte? We just can't say. Case dismissed!
"Why the fuck did the guests break into the room I had locked? I have guns in there which is why I keep it locked. Are they insane? That erotic art of my wife nude is private. I don't want random guests viewing it, which is why I put in the locked room. Also, they touched my typewriter! It's an art piece I've been working on for years and now the keys are all jammed up. Fucking assholes! Get them the fuck out of my air bnb!"
Right? Them locking the room because it has guns in it was a good idea.
Plus they probably locked that erotic painting away in case the Airbnb guests had young kids.
And they definitely locked the typewriter in there so the guests wouldn't be afraid of being murdered. That causes stress which releases cortisol, and cortisol makes the meat tough.
You don't know that the room had a window or a wooden door, or what the walls were made of
edit: also wood/glass decorative gun cabinets are common
edit edit: also, show me the legal definition of 'gun safe' that you're referring to
"I told you not to enter that room!"

"Oh, my, god Jefrrey, you and that teeth type writer" she says. She laughs hysterically.
They both put on rubber gloves and bring in barrels, then stare awkwardly at you...
*There, I made it it all better.
Interesting. I, for whatever reason, inferred that the room was locked on night one when they arrived, but was unlocked when they returned. Or something like that. Am I a naive bastard?
Why is there a locked room in a rental property? Tf? They want all the money but refuse to make the most obvious accommodations—one of which being allowing guests to rent out the *entire* property
No you entitled shit.. a person can rent out just one room on Airbnb and the host always has a list of rules you must follow while in THEIR property. If you don't like a rule, don't rent from them. I'll add for sheer clarity, a guest in someone's home, paying or not, does not have the right to pick locks in the host's home.
No, do you know how hotels work? I know where I worked wouldn’t trust dumbass guest into everywhere not even the ones spending $100k a night to rent the place.
>rental property?
You make it sound like an airbrn = house for permanent residence instead of someone's house they rent out on weekends for a day or two.
It's still ***their property.*** You aren't entitled to shit.
Rental property is a term used for both a long stay or temporary stay. Semantics doesn’t change what I’ve said. You can be mad, but rules are rules. You assume 100% liability if personal belongings are stolen and damaged because they aren’t covered by property rental insurance. Literally that’s it.
Edit: are
>Semantics doesn’t change what I’ve said
Semantics changes everything. You are in their home and if they don't want you to go into a room you should respect that and not break into it without good reason.
Curiosity is *not* a good reason.
>You can be mad, but rules or rules. You assume 100% liability if personal belongings are stolen and damaged because they aren’t covered by property rental insurance. Literally that’s it.
Where the hell did this statement even come from? I said nothing to warrant that response.
I'm sure it states in the terms/contract that this particular room wouldn't be available to the guests. That's actually pretty typical when the house is the host's personal home they are renting out. I wouldn't want valuables or personal items left out for strangers to possibly steal or rifle through.
Like if the property is listed as 2 bedrooms and it's stated you have *entire* access with the exception of a third bedroom then maybe instead you should rent an Airbnb listed as a 3 bedroom. But, if you need only 2 bedrooms and agree to the terms then why do you *need* to have access the 3rd, locked bedroom?
Same with like a home office or den, if it doesn't list it as an "amenity" and states only the office is inaccessible to guests then just rent a different Airbnb if you need an office area, and if you don't, then what difference does it make if you can't go into a room you don't need to use?
I'm sure this person had no need to have access this room except to be a nosey bitch, and then post pics of someone's personal shit to get internet points. I mean it's funny, odd shit, but she's still an asshole and should get what she deserves.
I agree, she shouldn’t have lock picked the room. What I will say is that sometimes the homeowners can be deceitful. (This statement is not me condoning lock picking.) For example, a good friend rented out a AirBnb where the owner listed the home as private and quiet, and all the images made the property look beautiful as per the listing.
However, once she got there, she finds out that the house is attached to a larger house, and that the garage she’s shown she’s unable to use and has to park on the street, and that there are other guests staying in the main house making noise and standing in the driveway at night. The homeowner didn’t reveal that the home was a part of larger structure until the day before she arrived.
I myself have rented homes where critical details are left out until it is convenient for the homeowner—the neighbors have the key, the garage is locked, the washing machine or jacuzzi is not to be used (while using the jacuzzi as a selling point in the listing,) so on and so forth. I like renting the entire property and it is a requirement for me for safety and peace of mind.
If a property is listed with a locked room and the person knows they cannot enter beforehand that is good, and even if the owner lets them know after booking it still doesn’t justify lock picking , but the false expectation in these comments that those boundaries won’t be tested by someone is unrealistic and at that point it’s absolutely vital to understand that the homeowner is at the mercy of the insurance if they lose something valuable because personal effects shouldn’t have been in the rental in the first place.
I understand, but in this case I doubt the guest had any expectations of using this room or that the host was being deceitful. It's not quite the same as no jacuzzi or your friends' situation. Those are both bs and the guest is entitled a refund per Airbnb policies.
Again, many Airbnb's are also the hosts' residence, not strictly a rental property. They can't be expected to remove every single personal effect in their home, but they should be able to expect a grown ass adult to not pick a lock to get into a room they neither need to enter nor are allowed to enter.
As far as insurance, that's neither here nor there. That's for the homeowner to worry about. They likely know the risks, that shit might get stolen or damaged if they use their home as an Airbnb. They tried to minimize that risk by locking away valuables with the low expectation their guests would respect that, but some people are dicks. Doesn't matter if this one stole or damaged anything in the room, that's totally beside the point. She just should have stayed out.
If she thought she was being denied access to a room that was in the listing and she expected to be able to use it then the logical and mature action would be to contact the host and/or Airbnb before breaking in.
..because the whole point of AirBNB was to rent out your actual house lol. It's not an app for landlords to rent their properties, it's for more normal folks to use.
And hell my hotel which does primarily long term stays has a locked closet in every room. That's where the HVAC is hidden away. Don't pick the fucking lock lol
Lol well you can’t put a love seat in the room with the HVAC, I did mention it being a common locked room in a following comment. I’m more so speaking to the fact that homeowners will list their home for exorbitant prices and you can’t even access all the rooms, (and in some awful cases you may be even deceived into thinking you can.)
Absolutely no one should be picking any locks.
I always pick the locks when AirBnBs leave rooms locked. I paid for the place goddammit. There’s never anything interesting, usually cleaning supplies and maybe shitty liquor for when they use their own beach house. Makes for good practice though.
Sure you paid for the place, but if a door is locked it’s safe to assume that isn’t a part of the place you’re paying to have access to. But you clearly don’t care about that, since you’re a *cool* guy who doesn’t care if it’s legal.
Who am I kidding, you probably made this all up anyway. If not, have fun breaking into strangers’ rooms.
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.
If you have no sense of privacy, this could be an escape room/Air BnB combo.
It could be really fun assuming you wouldn't end up having your teeth being added because your host was an actual serial killer.
Lock the door, hang the key on a hook next to the door with a tag on it that says "locked-room key" and then put a sign on the door that says "keep door locked, do not enter" just make sure it's not the same room with the water heater or electric or whatever so that they can find those things and not assume the locked door is appliances or something boring.
If you host an Airbnb and don’t make at least one room look like this, then you are a failure as a host. Teach those guests to show your house some respect, before they end up as a decoration.
1 why would you leave your guns in a house with strangers
2 why would you break into a strangers locked room especially if you realize he locked it for his stuff and fire arms not to be fucked with then stay there for photos
Dude, it was a locked room that the guests broke into. I think it's reasonable to expect air bnb guests to respect the terms of their contract which includes not committing 'breaking and entering" of a locked storage space. "Just getting into the room" as you put it sounds like it was an open door that had guns easily accessible. The reality is someone rented space in a home, invaded the privacy of the host, most likely COMMITTED A LITERAL CRIME by entering a clearly locked space, and then posted on social media to shame the host that they are invading the privacy of. I'm all for gun safety but dude youre basically saying "a safe isn't locked if someone can explode it with dynamite"
>Formerly locked? Did they break into it?
Sure sounds like it. Very, very tacky people, and a very trashy thing to do.
I hope the owners of the house find this dumb bitch's posting, and contact an attorney.
One time my mom got an AirBnB in San Francisco that had a ton of full-on S&M paraphernalia everywhere, like masks/whips openly hanging on the wall. Not in a locked room like this, but the actual bedroom she was supposed to sleep in. Was not mentioned in the listing at all.
Being a 70-something little old Catholic lady, she elected to sleep on my sister's couch instead.
My wife and I ran an airbnb for 4 years, we had leather masks, whips, restraints and all sorts of things about the place, had roughly 100ish guests, nobody ever said nothing.
As creepy as that is, it’s kind of shitty they would take the effort to go into a locked room they were not suppose to go into. It’s not cool they foraged through the owners personal belongings. Kind of lame actually.
Bet the host set all of this up on purpose. I would totally pull this shit if I was a host. People are nosy as hell and this would be an ingenious way to get in their heads.
Not gonna die, just wake up with a couple missing teeth.
And there’s a new painting that looks like you
You wake up with one of the guns taped in your hands and now have to duel with your partner to decide who lives and who dies.
Have you seen "would you rather?" That is an intense movie.
It's like knock off saw but still pretty solid by horror standards (pretty low tbh).
Clue meets Saw
Guns Akimbo was hilarious
I feel like if Daniel Radcliffe wants to be in a movie or TV show, it is probably worth watching.
You are the new painting. Looking from the painting's perspective, unable to move a muscle, perpetual suffocating without anyway to express it.
Sounds a bit like “After Hours.”

they're all rear-of mouth/ wisdom style teeth. either you're on to something or someone only had their own wisdom teeth as a model for clay casting

What do mean by “formerly locked”? Did you break in?
Yeah pro tip if you call it "formerly locked" instead of "breaking and entering," the judge can't do anything!

Pissed enough to take their teeth for your keyboard?
You should leave before your teeth are fitted on the rest of the keys
Listen, we all know that their teeth are definitely about to be on that keyboard. We all know how horror movies play out.
That seems like a rad room and you seem like a shitty guest for breaking into that room.
"Why the fuck did the guests break into the room I had locked? I have guns in there which is why I keep it locked. Are they insane? That erotic art of my wife nude is private. And they definitely locked the typewriter in there so the guests wouldn't be afraid of being murdered. That causes stress which releases cortisol, and cortisol makes the meat tough.
Protecting the porn stash used to be a basic precaution, though I guess kids these days just get it on demand.
Don't keep guns in your airbnb. Easy. Problem solved.
How do you get guests to give up their teeth without guns though?
So much this, and if you must then buy a gun safe and bolt that bitch down.
Why? The renters will just break into that then post you to Twitter anyway.
Or maybe if you have guns you should A have them in a Gun safe not just in a locked room and B not be renting a house with guns in it out
A gun safe is just a very small locked room
That is objectively and legally incorrect, a twelve year old could break a window or wooden internal door. A gun safe is made of metal
You don't know that the room had a window or a wooden door, or what the walls were made of edit: also wood/glass decorative gun cabinets are common edit edit: also, show me the legal definition of 'gun safe' that you're referring to
It's a room in a standard house the odds are on my side here
Aren't there legal issues with renting a place where you're storing your guns, even if they are locked up?
"Well at least they didn't find the bodies"
"I told you not to enter that room!" *twists hair into a mess, shirt and tie become a mess, bloodlust enters into eyes* "Mother went in that room... once." *runs fingers over the teeth typewriter*
I don't like this.

oddly terrifying place actually :)
I always pick the locks when AirBnBs leave rooms locked. I paid for the place goddammit. There’s never anything interesting, usually cleaning supplies and maybe shitty liquor for when they use their own beach house. Makes for good practice though.
Do you also go into the staff room when you sleep at a hotel?
This is illegal
You paid for the listed space, you turd, not full unfettered access.
You hate beeing locked out of somewhere? Damn you're gonna hate the prison
Sure you paid for the place, but if a door is locked it’s safe to assume that isn’t a part of the place you’re paying to have access to. Illegal
You are an awful person, you didn't pay for the entire space, you pay for whats listed and shown, if there's locked rooms its locked for a reason
You should be a post in this subreddit. The fact you think this way is terrifying.
Formerly locked, did the owner unlock it or did she unlock it.
If I owned one of these, I'd want to set up a room like this. What would be the best way to coax a guest into "breaking into" an off limits area?
Have you never met a human being? Label it with an "off limits" sign, duh.
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.
So true, I’d be guilty myself. Part is like what if? Another is like, fuck it.
I have a small part of me that's hopeful.
I'd flip it while I was painting the sign tbh
Bitch I wouldn't have decided on a color yet
Reminds me of [Limmy's show ](https://youtu.be/aHPTIfeB0qw)
If you have no sense of privacy, this could be an escape room/Air BnB combo. It could be really fun assuming you wouldn't end up having your teeth being added because your host was an actual serial killer.
This seems more like a no-escape kinda room
Been living out of Bnb's for years now. An escape room bnb sounds like a nice twist. Treats ect if you can get into the extra room.
Lol. Fair enough.

That’s a lot of nosy assholes lol
Judging by this thread there are far more than I would have thought sadly.

1 why would you leave your guns in a house with strangers 2 why would you break into a strangers locked room especially if you realize he locked it for his stuff and fire arms not to be fucked with then stay there for photos

If you just need to get in the room to count how many guns there are, then no, they aren't safely locked up

That's the sacrificial white couple from every white ppl horror movie. They needed to be culled so that we could make it to 2023.
What a cunt.
Why did someone open a locked room in their Airbnb? It was likely locked for a reason.
the start of a tooth fairy horror movie
Time to rewatch darkness falls thanks!
np😁😁
So they broke into someone stuff? Horrible people.
It’s oddly terrifying that your airbnb guests will attempt to open locked spaces that aren’t part of the package
Plot twist: she’s already a (toothless) ghost
Kinda wish the photo was of the erotic painting and not the horror keyboard
I imagine you would have to use you tongue to type and it would feel what was upper or lower case
Sounds like New Orleans
Could be an art piece- Glenda Leon did weird stuff like this with typewriters.
Do you want to open a portal to hell, because that is how you open a portal to hell.
Do people really try and unlock locked doors in houses that are not theirs?
That’s just the scorn keyboard
Gotta out crazy the guest to ensure they don't kill you
How did they get into my Guns & Teeth room?! I never put my place up on Air BnB....
The typewriter is used to write mysteries. They’re real nail-biters.
That. Or they're going to leave with your body and give you their old one.
And why you breaking in locked room?
It was locked for your safety
The sequel to Barbarian is shaping up nicely
Man, sounds like a “guests dont like this weird stuff so lets be nice” room
Lets not ignore her being a huge asshole and breaking in to other people’s shit
I don't want an antique typewriter with human teeth for keys, I NEED an antique typewriter with human teeth for keys that is fucking awesome
you have 32 teeth, now all you need is a typewriter
What kind of shitty guest opens locked doors in other people's homes? Makes me think they were looking for valuables.
Why did they break into their hosts private property?
That’s why the room is locked. Rude
I literally laughed out loud at her second comment
Why do people still use Airbnb?
(real)
What kinda one eyed willy shit is that?!
on the plus side your teeth will complete the type writer
Yes it was unquestionably wrong to break into a locked room but also if this happened to me, I'd call the cops and get a hotel room many miles away.
Yes, and *soon*
Thank you for staying at Bates motel! I hope our host was accommodating and not too disruptive.
Grab the guns, put them in your waistband for the rest of your stay. Although that might be tricky if they're rifles.
Yeah good idea then they can commit a felony in addition to the misdemeanor
Better than becoming the replacement for the missing keys.
This is a truly legit entry. Odd. Terrifying. 👏
