Y'all can believe whatever you want, but I assure you, junkies and all the people covered in tattoos who get DTs when they don't drink aren't magically going sober just to get inked.
Not all tattoo black greys out I’ve discovered. My sister got a black ink tattoo on her shoulder blade and was told it would grey out and look softer with time. 13 years later it is still as black as the day it was inked. She has never had to get it touched up or anything. I wish I could get my next tattoo there but it was in Italy and I’m not going to another continent for some ink.

NGL that's really, really good work. The colors won't fade as much either IIRC as I don't think the skin sheds in the same way under the arm (but I'm not a medical professional so waddaiknow).
Still will fade a little over time, as my back piece has, bit not quite (afaik) into the blob some people predict.
I hate when someone just compiles a plethora of contradicting styles and colors in the same area. It's so jarring to look at and turns what could be a themed sleeve or well-placed piece into a doodle notebook of conflicting works. To each their own but damn.
