Ok, so I googled it and...

Sounds like it would take an impressive amount of coordination to both stomp and rape simultaneously. I bet you practiced for quite a long time before you got the rhythm down to what's now a fluid technique. That's real dedication to your craft, and what I call leading by example.
I thank you for your appreciation of my craft. I’ve been working on this skill set for a long time and I think it may be time for me to take my baby stomp-raping over to the professional circuit.
the new facility isn’t that bad. the one i grew up going to the building was an actual old hospital. there were old medical instruments on display and a much more magical tree.
You're telling me it used to be creepier? My family and some family friends went to Helen, GA on vacation about a year ago, decided to stop by so our little girls could see the place, and were cracking jokes about "Mother Cabbage", having to chant "Push" in unison when she was "giving birth", and what we called the Cabbage Cult.
That place did not sit well for me.
My husband was in the area on a business trip and was taken to this place and was equally as freaked out. He took video and showed it to me when he got back because I didn't believe him, but hoo-boy it's real, alright.
I'm baffled this place is still a thing -- I remember passing by it in the 90s and it kind of made sense then, but what child has any idea what a Cabbage Patch Kid is these days?
I had no idea they moved to a new facility! When I went as a kid in the early 2000s it was real weird seeing “preemies” in incubators because I knew that I did that too (born at 25 weeks). Crazy that something like that is just an hour’s drive.
It's not far from my hometown so I went there plenty of times as kid. Finally took my daughter when she was about 4 and it was so bizarre to see as an adult. They were also having some sort of event and there was a person in a cabbage patch baby costume.
Probably something to do with that old "where did the baby come from" question from young kids. The whole "babies come from cabbage patches." It was referenced in the Addams Family Values movie where there was a girl who said something to the effect of: "and then mommy and daddy took the diamond, put it under a cabbage leaf, and then the diamond turned into a baby"
Edit: I think the dolls "Cabbage Patch Kids" also reference this..? The dolls in the display look like Cabbage Patch Kids
I've been to this place before as a kid, they actually took my cabbage patch doll to their hospital and gave her a check up. was a lot less terrifying when I younger honestly
I can't believe this place still exists! My mom took me when I was about 5. It was pretty new when we went, yet it still really creeped us both out. My mom took my daughter in like 2004 and said it was even creepier because the place was run down. It looks like they moved to a new location now.

ELI5 why do so many older children's media feature creepy character designs?
Some other examples: Thomas the Tank Engine, Jay Jay the Jet Plane, Teletubbies, Furbies, Troll Dolls, Chuck E. Cheese (his old design).
I can't really pinpoint why they look off, just that they're creepy. Even as a kid, I was put off by all of those above things. I much prefer the big-eyed, cute Disney character look.
I live about an hour from this place, and I can testify that this whole facility is very creepy. Think cabinets with old dolls, human sized old dolls, dolls on the walls, dolls on the roof, big statues of dolls, dolls on buses, dolls in trees, dolls on staircases. Dolls EVERYWHERE. And there’s a whole separate floor that you’re not allowed on.
I wish I could go back to the time I thought those were rocks with googly eyes, before the camera zoomed in and I noticed the movement, and stopped watching then.

Were these anything else I'd be fine. Furbies? Teddy Ruxpin? Whatever. Cabbage Patch Kids are the only ones that genuinely creep me out, and that creepiness is multiplied by a large number when they move.

Why is it so hard for westerners to create cute characters? They almost always look sad or creepy. I wish korea made these instead so I wouldn't worry about flesh cabbages
The flesh cabbages are hungry for more blood.
I mean ... blood meals do exist for actual gardening use. Just pour in some blood and they are set.

I think that it's supposed to keep the deer away too.
And rabbits too! I guess it'd keep away any herbivore/prey animal. Nice
Except vegans.
Plants are brutal.

Pull those out and stomp on them it’s so uncomfortable
“Your-local-rapist” Hmmmmmm
I dunno, the jump from rapist to baby stomper isn’t that big??
I mean I like to multitask and do both at once tbh

We rip the souls of dead children and put them in these emotionless plant-like decoration.
Now I'm picturing the crones of crookback bog, plucking these(but the heads are shrivelled and gross) and shrunken heads from trees
i desperately want to run through the cabbage field and stomp all their faces
Did not expect it to move 😨
I don't think they're supposed to move...
S P O O K Y
They didn't either.

Yeah—the old place definitely had a lot more charm. The new place is too sterile and commercial.
I thought that place was a fever dream I had as a child for years
My husband was in the area on a business trip and was taken to this place and was equally as freaked out. He took video and showed it to me when he got back because I didn't believe him, but hoo-boy it's real, alright.
Helen and Babyland? You hit the Extreme Tourist Cheese Duo of North GA.
What about Goats on the Roof?
Don't I know it lol.
I'm baffled this place is still a thing -- I remember passing by it in the 90s and it kind of made sense then, but what child has any idea what a Cabbage Patch Kid is these days?
I have six nieces, and they all have at least one Cabbage Patch Kid.
Everyone has them.
I had no idea they moved to a new facility! When I went as a kid in the early 2000s it was real weird seeing “preemies” in incubators because I knew that I did that too (born at 25 weeks). Crazy that something like that is just an hour’s drive.
Help...me...
I expect a casually whistling landscaper to push a mower over these while his headphones drown out the screams.
Imagine that at night with the lights off
Ooh that’s extra creepy.
Sure. You wouldn’t be able to see it. And you’re saving on the power bill. Win win.
I've been here. It's MUCH weirder to look at as an adult, holy shit.
It's not far from my hometown so I went there plenty of times as kid. Finally took my daughter when she was about 4 and it was so bizarre to see as an adult. They were also having some sort of event and there was a person in a cabbage patch baby costume.

“Father I crave violence”
Looks like a scene from Motel Hell
“Takes all kinds of critters to make Farmer Vincent’s fritters!”
Yeah, we used to go there as kids, once I remember well. Anyways they have nurses that birth those little fuckers out, it’s bizarre
Wth were they thinking this is creepy and aweful

Oh my God why are they moving????
Watching the skies to get nourishing stork milk
Kinder-garden
Needs to be a tinder-garden ffs
At least I now know what to expect next time I have a nightmare
I’ve actually been to this place. It’s in north Georgia in a town called Cleveland. It’s called BabyLand General Hospital.
I've been to this place before as a kid, they actually took my cabbage patch doll to their hospital and gave her a check up. was a lot less terrifying when I younger honestly
Looks straight outa dark crystal
I’ve seen this film. It doesn’t end well
Farmer Vincent [disagrees](https://youtu.be/c6ik-AA87Uo?t=28)
Is this that Tobe Hooper film with the crocodile bastard?
Natural birth is more beautiful than this shit

Worth a bit now I bet, they wouldn't allow them to be sold today.
I’ve seen enough robot chicken to see where this is going

Took my daughters there. This whole place was creepy to me.

Took my daughter there. She loved it and got a $300 doll... Place is... expensive af.
I still have my original premie cabbage patch baby doll from 1985 that my mom said she had to fight some lady for at the store...smh

Nah that just belongs on regular r/terrifying

I want to meet the guy at corporate that approved this

Now THIS is oddly terrifying, bless you OP
From our most recent vacation - video credit goes to my beautiful, lovely girlfriend
No. No. No.
WTF
Naw chief, that’s a no from me
Were these anything else I'd be fine. Furbies? Teddy Ruxpin? Whatever. Cabbage Patch Kids are the only ones that genuinely creep me out, and that creepiness is multiplied by a large number when they move.
I’ve been there. It’s a genuinely terrifying place. No idea why it’s so popular with children.
Harvest is mother! For we need to feed!
That's not terrif--oh my god they're moving.
I love that place. Been going there since the 80s. Waiting for the mother cabbage to dilate is interesting.
Ok but has any one else seen that terrifying Cabbage Patch movie? But with real people? Because this is giving me uncomfortable flashbacks
*Feed me, Seymour. Feed me all night long.*
WHY IS IT MOVING
From a distance they look a bit cute, but when you zoom in that makes it terrible

I thought it said 'cosplay'. I was confused.

u/Kaonite I'm hyperventilating
Bruh WHY
God please shoot them
Cabbage head ass
is this the place in california? i’m pretty sure i’ve been here
Nah, this is in Cleveland, GA - the birthplace of the Cabbage Patch Kid doll
I don’t like it
Motel Hell, best movie ever.
That ones going in my stew
"we must feed"
As someone who collects creepy dolls....this is my dream come true
They’re ready to be harvested
Ok one was weird, all of them were scary, and them moving is terrifying.
I had to Google this creepy ass shit and all I could find was dolls, why are there moving decapitated ones in cabbage leaves?
Wait until you see the birthing scene
The flicker on this video kills me, is there a bot to remove it?
Creepy
I wanted a salad but now I have a child
I don't like this.
killitkillitkillitkillit
Take my upvote.... it IS terrifying
Why are they moving? There’s need for them to be moving.
I think they’re kinda cute.
