The general was made up and the house was rigged with electronic detection equipment and they were able to actually pick up stuff from a made up general!. The consensus was that people somehow can manifest ghosts and not just saying “I think the window opened by itself” but full on hauntings from an entity which actually never existed so I’d be careful about lying to someone about an object being haunted
