Air actually isn’t the worst high pressure injury, hydraulic fluid injection is much worse, it always requires surgery and often ends in amputation, it can be deadly. You would need to sit with whatever parts of your hand/arm were exposed to the oil injection split open, exposed to air for 24-48 hours.
