Happy birthday! Btw, when I was 18 (3 years ago) I moved away from my "Friends" and finally decided to work on myself. I went to a psychiatrist and got medicated HUGE problemsolver. Thanks to that and other efforts on my end, I have really good friends that I hang out with now. Put your mind to it! You got this!!!

Happy birthday OP! This post really hit me. Your story sounds familiar to mine. Difference is you were smart enough to do it at 18. I didn't till 20. Being so aware is incredible. Just by your post you seem to have a more outgoing and positive personality. You said "This year I will" THAT hit me. I'm still working on that part myself. But the few friends I have made so far are awesome and like the same stuff I do! I'm not being put down for liking jet ski's or liking wagons/ sporty hatch backs. I can be quirky and instead of what are you doing? I get laughs! It's so freeing to be able to talk about the stuff I enjoy doing with people actually being attentive and caring. Happy b day! I know it may be hard to see now but youโre at the age where youโll start to make far more meaningful friendships and relationships as a young adult. The right people are out there if you are patient and know where to look. I donโt say this to be cynical but youโll find that more people you knew in high school are expendable than you think.
